Had the Australia Day holiday to spend a day geocaching with Mistraluna we decided to attack the northern caches.
We found some excellent game pieces and some ordinary ones.
We zig zaged across the suburbs and back again chasing the hidden gems.
To you who have taken the action of hiding a game piece thank you we appreciated it.
Jazl the Huskadore came to checkout the parks and hides also had a wow of a time finding a dirty smelling drainage channel to swim in coming out black and smelling atrocious.
Was thoughts of a dog riding in the boot but around the corner was two guys with a large hose.
Was bore water but it smelt like roses after the other smell so one wet dog on the back seat.
The amount of rubbish in the tree needs removing. Suggest moving cache if still there to somewhere else.

Headed up to meet up with AmstradKid and Jazl to have a crack at the Bayswater/Morley area. And a great day we all had too. Found over fifty hides, with only a few dnf's. Jazl did a fantastic job of diverting the attention of any muggles who happened to be in the vicinity, though her choice of perfume left much to be desired!! We happily zigzagged across the area, finding all sorts of hides along the way. This was one that we were disappointed not to find. Wonderful old trees. Coordinates put us out in the middle of the grassed area. Took a guess and headed to the central peppermint trees. Nothing at the nearest ones. Read the past logs, and then went further southwest to the tree that was indicated. No mint tin but lots of household rubbish from verge side pickup in and around said tree. No mint tin though. So tried the next tree too. Thanks anyway justron03
No finds since September. Coordinates need checking. Cache needs checking too. And the tree needs a really good clean-up before the verge side pickup is done.
Looked in both trees near the coords given (roughly halfway between the two trees!) Didn't have access to notes so didn't notice the couple of comments about 25m difference
Found on a second visit. GPS coordinates inaccurate - 25m north of Fifth Ave in a tree to the east of the path is the way to go.
Watch out for the red herring mint tin! The real one does not need climbing skills to reach
Couldn't get a fix with the gps so it was a matter checking out all the trees. Luckily it didn't take long to find. What wonderful old trees! TFTC
Love the avenue if trees. The trunks of some of them are amazing. Thanks to hints re the cache being 25m out. Spot on!!
Tftc. And thanks to the dog owner, who did not think it would be better to clean up after his best friend... Grrrr!
Following the previous comments we found cache 25m from GZ, back towards 5th Ave. A quick find on amended directions. TFTC!
Out for a successful day of caching with OOH YEH, with 22 finds and 0 dnf's in an area that is new to me for caching.
Found by using a previous cachers co-ords but it still took a little while.

Out with skippy 46 for a day of caching. The weather was kind to us and we managed to not get wet and all. We found 22 caches with no DNFS so we had a very successful day. Like previous cachers we also found GZ to be out by about 25 metres and even then it still took awhile to find TFTC justron03
GSAGC #515. Found quickly thanks to previous logs advising that the co-ords are significantly out. CO should take note and amend co-ords accordingly. TFTH.
Out for a planned afternoon of caching with Theoutbackwizard101 and TH of TH/CS. Aimed for 20 finds, ended up with 26 with only 2 DNF along the way, no 10 minute rule today, all finds in around 2 minutes or under.
#25. I don't know if this cache has been subject to cache creep but we too found it 25m from the published co-ords.
My GPSr had it at S 31° 55.604 E 115° 52.978
The cache fell apart so I replaced it with the only mint tin I had which is not camo and placed the log into a bag.

Found after a brief search of the nearby likely spots - exactly 25m from GZ as previous logger noted. TFTC justron03!

After having settled into the caravan park it was now time to look for a few caches.
This was one we found in an area we have never been to before.
We found this cache 25m from where our GPS said GZ was.
Thanks justron03

Had a night time look and realised I had no torch when I got there. Pretty dark then started to pour with rain, so will try again in daylight.
Found it with Geo-rge, Miss Jane & EMDH on our WA road trip.
It was a quick find. Thanks for brining us to this part of WA.

Coordinates reveal an open park. Searched the nearby things referred to in a hint but no good

Day two and a warmer, drier day greeted me as I left the accom in town. Nice hide and find. This time I headed North and found a great variety of caches and hides, and also visiting spots I'd never been to before. Thanks justron03, added a sheet for logging
Found the cache container, but as the previous finder, did not find a log inside. Needs Maintenance. Photolog coming. TFTC!
I found the cache but no log inside. Also I think the CO needs to confirm that the hide is as originally intended. Cheers
After a DNF on this one months ago during a night raid, we'd thought we'd stop to crack this one whilst in the area. Found much more easily in the daylight. TFTC!
Out for a days caching between showers on the geobike with SPN WRC.
GPS had us standing in the middle of the lawn but after reading description soon moved to obvious location.

Out for a caching ride on the Geo bike Tracey with AndrewSWRT for the morning. Getting wet to start with but the weather soon fined up. Clocked up 30 caches on our 22.2km ride with one DNF.
GPS had us away from GZ, but then realized where GZ was. Cache was quick in hand soon after. TFTC

GPS went a bit crazy but eventually sorted itself out. Easy find after that thanks.
Third time lucky. Cache was in the spot I had look both time previously. Mysterious! TFTC
Woohoo, my first GC ever!
I was close by at a mate's place and I was telling him about GC. Then I thought I should go and check nearby caches... There I go. TFTC!

Easy find. TFTC. I wasn't expecting to go geocaching and didn't have a pencil so I photographed the log.
My GPS had me a long way away, but I picked correctly the first time and found it without too much trouble. Thanks.
Sorry my error... Nice big old tree - luck I pick the tree correct one... Signed the log. Thanks Justron03.
Out for a few hours caching between a lovely sleep in and appointments in the afternoon
A quick and easy cache. TFTC justron03

Over from Canberra – and had a day off! I brought the cooler weather from Canberra as I can’t stand the heat – so 25degrees was just wonderful! Decided to hire a bicycle, and collect some caches! Total of 38 caches found and 51km ridden, and lots of sights seen! A great day!
Nice hide - but next time - use a GPS... This one is 15m out! In the middle of the lawn! Thanks anyway justron03!

[:(!] Went for a morning run of caching with Mrs GrumpyBump which was very successful, arrived at GZ and had the cache in hand in a matter of minutes. SL TFTC/TFTH
Not sure whether to claim a find or not. Found a mint tin on the ground near the tree. Looks like it has been around for some time from its condition, however there is nothing in it. I placed it in the tree in case it is the cache container.

Lovely trees. Found a container, though not sure it was the correct one but it seemed to agree with past logs.
did this at night with matty16. felt like we were walking through the forbidden Forrest from harry potter
Did this at night in the pitch black. Wasn't pleasant and had not luck, so will try again in the daylight.
I was pretty much doing figure 8's around two trees, until i saw a little bit of a shine. Nicely hidden TFTC!

Stopped this morning but a muggle family wouldn't leave so I searched as much as I could while trying to blend in. The obvious tree was full of rubbish which made stealth searching with muggle traffic impossible. Returned this afternoon and the cache was glowing like a beacon in its hiding place. I'm sure someone else had been here today cause it was not so exposed this morning. Either way, made for a relatively easily find while dodging a muggle dog who insisted on continually coming over despite the calls from its muggle owner. Thanks for the cache justron03. I love the lack of camoflauge on the tin.
P.S. - Left a little lion for the next geokid who visits. It's all that'd fit in the tin.

Clever hiding spot. Enjoyable park- I had never been there before, though I live very close! My GPS was 15m out, too.
My bellybuttom saw it first. Its well hidden and the coordinates are out by about 15m but we noticed something out of place and it was hidden there. We did resort to the clue.
Thought we'd try an easy one for our first attempt at geocaching, but couldn't find it! We didn't allow ourselves enough time - it was getting dark and geotoddler was getting cranky. Will try again soon.
Exclaimed with joy when i found cache, oh no wait that was a bag of needles. Thanks to Komodo25 for disposing of them. Coords off but caught a twinkle in the corner of my eye. cheers to Rooster168 and Komodo25. TFTC
Second attempt found during the day. Still annoying with the bum coordinates but the cache was found on the same side of the pathway.
Nice little park in suburbia. Great hide and very clever indeed for a First hide. TFTC justron03
This cache kicked our you know what (was with Rooster168). Although it was dead late and using a torch didn't help. We'll head back soon when there's daylight and try again. Noted the issue with the coordinates being well off, it makes you feel like kind of a douche standing out there in the middle of the lawn!
Couldnt get what we came to the area for so made the trip worthwhile with a cache. Found fairly quickly although it was well hidden on its host. SL TFTC.
Out on an afternnon of caching.
Found without problems even though the coordinates are out on the grass.
Thanks justron03 for the cache.

The GPS had us standing very conspicuouely in the middle of the lawned area. Logic had us looking about 8m westwards where the prize was quickly located. TFTC
tftc sl. came once before but too many muggles.
also couldn't find it on the grass.
but walked around the nearest hiding spots a few times,
then geo wife made the find.

Jarred's first day of geocaching. Nice find for Sokar after having something to eat in the park first. TFTC
Searched and searched and searched.................to no avail!
I was determined to find it but an old muggle walking his dog was giving me very suspicious looks.
Will try again!

Third time lucky for the mtlawleymarauders we did not take anything but left a gold ingot TFTC
Had another quick look with the kids 20 minutes before sun down. We circled the 2 most likely spots without success. Once again the iphone had us about 15 m away on the lawn.
Our first ever attempt at GC. We headed out with the iphone 4 with a spring in our step and like a few others found ourselves in the middle of the lawn away from any possible hiding spot. We took a good look at the 2 closest possibilities but alas without success. We will try again soon, if the kids get over their dissapointment.

Found with duncdonut and Princess Fiona and a young muggle who was no doubt perplexed by 3 adults circling a tree!!! TFTC
Came along today with kellyxley and Princess Fiona. A family of muggles were playing nearby but they weren't in direct view. We circled a couple of times, before we had a 5 or 6 year old muggle suddenly appear and then stand and stare at the tree with us. She ran off before I found the cache - was she looking at it? TFTC.
