There are several ways to get to the cache but all ways have either nice views or interesting sights. It can be done at anytime but the view during daytime is why I chose the spot to place the cache :-) This is a lovely and well used walkway that we have enjoyed dwadling along admiring the view - we hope you take the time to wander it too - lifes to short to only be thinking of cache numbers instead of enjoying the view !!

A pretty straight-forward drive-by cache along Macraes Road next to an unusual local feature. The feature is a fence, similar to other fences around New Zealand with collections of things like shoes, bikes etc. This one is a bit different as it has a collection of skins! The skins are from the deer, pigs etc. that have been hunted in the area. You can't miss it as you go by because it's about 300m long!

In a little known cut through walk with a stream which points you in the direction of Northlands Mall. Easy parking and seats available . Opposite is a park with a continuation of the stream and play equipment for children. Either take the path towards the Mall or walk through the reserve opposite - if you keep to the left you can follow the stream and find ducks & bridge.

A nice short walk along a well formed walkway on the beachfront looking out into the Tasman Bay. Suitable to walk, bike or ride a horse. To be enjoyed especially on a nice day - remember to take a towel if you decide to have a dip Wheelchair access is possible to the area, but you would want to come from the Ruby Bay end of the track as the other walkway is full of tree roots etc
