On Te Whara Track in the Whangarei heads area. You will have to climb a rockface that is a reasonable climb. you will not require any climbing gear but it feels very exposed when climbing.... the small plastic contaier is in the ground when the rocks make a V. not at the top of the rocks but as far as you can go without going over the large crack.

Cache is off Te Whara Track, short little detour of about (80m) on a trail that leads to a rock formation. scramble up the rockface to the top where there is probably the best senic view north of auckland, this spot is exposed but safe to climb. the small camo plastic cache is at the top stuffed in a shrub.....byo pen...
