Serial number is: TS7407R.

Last Inspected on: No Data.

Elevation is: 343 metres.

Reservoir Trig.

A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.

Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape. Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to get to.

These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.

To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig poin. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.

The original collection of trig points has been sourced from Geoscience Australia and may contain inaccuracies.

Please respect local laws and regulations when searching for trig points. If you believe that a trig point is located on private property or in a dangerous location, you may archive the cache, by clicking on Log this Cache and place an "Archived" log on the Geocaching Australia website.

If you feel that you can add to the description of this trig point or adjust the difficulty / terrain ratings, please feel free to edit this cache and amend the information suitably. Vandalism of the cache description or other information will result in your account being terminated.

Spotted on the drive to Bathurst.

The car GPS took me down this lane. It was chockers with the wind blown grass. I could probably have driven through it, but chose not to, because it might block the radiator and cause the car to over heat or catch fire from the hot exhaust pipe. Then drove around the block and took the photo from there.

Out with Sophoutloud on the way home from Kozi and grabbing a few caches and trigs as we go, hopefully will be able to claim a few more regions. Getting late in the day and we still have quite a way to get home but we just couldn't resist grabbing a few more, sleep is for the weak right? nice and easy to spot this one from the road side.

On our way home sadly. But always time to stop of a cache or a trig or maybe both! Especially when your traveling with outdoornut22.
You could see this trig from a mile away! Although it felt like we took the most complicated way to get here. We eventually got here, I enjoyed seeing so much of cowera, who knew there was so much going on here!

Started at Bathurst bright and early for a bit of a trip down south, have a few trigs picked up to go after, got a relaxing trip as have to be back home on Saturday see how far I can go & how many trigs I can get photos of on the trip. This was the seventh & stop on the first day was at a water tower in Carcoar and took the required photo once I found a spot to shoot from. Thanks for the trig Geocaching Australia. Hopefully there will be a few I can get closer on the trip. Clan Phoenix

Geocaching Australia Cache (GCA cache) find Number 1547.

In the continuing quest to a streak of 90 days with a GCA Cache find (soon to extend to be a quest for 180 day streak - I'm not even thinking about the 365 challenge yet ! Lol) I grabbed this trig today as I passed through Cowra again. My car broke down here last weekend so - damn - I had to venture up here again to collect it this weekend - just another excuse to grab some more caches ! And just for a change - a trig on a water tank !

TNLN - TFTC !!

Cheers....

Did a lap of the neighbouring streets to find the best place to get a photo of this one. There was certainly some nice homes in the area.
Found a spot near some horse paddocks for our photo and it was quickly taken under their watchful eyes. Thanks.

Quick grad in an effort to add a golden tint to the dZ map. Not enough points to do so sadly. Photo to come - it's on gangstella's phone and she isn't home.

03-Nov-16
On a mid-western run to Temora ...

A short drive on the side road and easily spotted in the distance ... decided to venture closer but the side track was blocked by a grader. Back down to a side street ... For what will likely be a poor photo.

#GA956 - 16:10; Decided to swing through Cowra on the way home after a day trip to Grenfell with the geohoney and her muggle friend during the Henry Lawson Festival. After collecting a few caches around Grenfell while the girls did some retail therapy, we were now headed for home and collecting a couple more on the way. This one was only a short detour from the main drag and was easily spotted. TFTT Geocaching Australia Very HappyClan Cerberus

Another new trig on my regular route. A very easy find - strange the water tower is way out of town. Easy to get close enough for the photo.
