Description

Trig point up a short steepish hill to a nice view spoilt by power lines

Please note this trig CAN NOT be accessed from Grinter street even though the maps show it. You would have to cross private property through somebodies yard to do so.

Best access is from small pull off in Pitt Ave next to a very obvious track heading uphill. Keep to the left on the fence line as you go past the old skate park till you hit the gravel access road and follow it to the top.

Suck in a couple of big ones before you start as you will need the oxygen to get to the top if you are unfit! You can also access from West Tamar RD as we have done before but the track is less obvious and much longer.

Good views (between the wires and towers) from down the river to Ben lomond

The trig is the usual shape with red and white disks on top.

First to find can submit the first photo of it.

A great view on a sunny winters afternoon. All the unfit cachers take note. There is a shorter route!

This was a climb, as I'm not the fittest person (but I am getting there with all this caching). Great views, thanks

It was a rather steep walk up the hill to the tri point. We reaffirmed our hope that, one day, all power lines will be under ground as they really detracted from what would have been an excellent panoramic view. TFTC.
