1684 - First find during a quick work trip to Singapore. Flew in this evening, and after finding a cache in Canberra Australia this morning, I now get to claim this one tonight - a small distance between finds for a day !!

I was banking on the opening times in the cache description were correct and they were. A quick walk in from the southern gate, then sat down and turned on the GPS. Waited for the usual catch up from moving long distances, and then punched in the coords. I was all of 60ft from the cache !

Walked around to the correct spot and there it was. I guess this one has lasted !

TNLN - TFTC !!

Cheers....

[#335, 11:15] This was our first geocache in SIngapore we could log - after several tries it seemed we hadn't wake up into the most insightful of days. But at last, we scored a find on this nice cache and our mood gradualy went up. Very nice place in a beautiful garden (it was just a pity that we had to hurry away because of a downpour) - thanks for the cache!
In: -
Out: Geocoin "North Carolina"
We didn't spot any other TB nor GC in the cache except for the one we've taken with us.

Easy to find thanks to Decoy Dog (even without GPS). Nice hide. Did not sign log as we forgot to bring pen.
Out: Geocoin, in: tile found at the lovely beach of Perhentian Island, Malaysia. TFTC.

Easy find thanks to decoy dog. Had to be patient due to muggles sitting at GZ. Recommend visiting the orchid gardens nearby.

Finally! My first overseas cache. What a saga. First I got lost on Orchard Rd, then my GPS went flat as I approached the gardens. Crivens!
I decided to give it a go anyway because I certainly didn't want to return empty handed. Armed with a printout of the photo and hasty prayers, I followed the creek until I found a likely spot. Around 20 mins of rummaging later I had what I needed.
Thanks DecoyDog and IndianaJanes, you saved my day!
IN -> A rather appropriate Calochortus Gunnisonii. Excellent coin.
Out -> Pretty much everything else.

The Botanic Gardens were simply stunning. We weren't having much luck with satloc today, and I enjoyed using the picture of DecoyDog to determine where the cache might be hidden. Voila!

Unfortunately, the cache is wet all the way through. The previous hider has left some paper well wrapped up, but the cache needs urgent attention.

Found as part of The Penguins' Asian Assignment.

There were lots of muggles around so I went into stealth mode to attempt to avoid detection. There was a family playing cards a couple of metres away across the stream. My stealth method was to take an extraordinary interest in the flowers in the tree next to the cache, then to pick a flower and 'accidentally' drop it next to cache. I then searched for the flower - I got the cache and the flower and retreated to a seat to fill in the log. All the muggles seemed to be intent on their own business but you never know who may be watching. To return the cache I took out my camera & photographed the tree and 'picked up another flower'. Was my stealth method successful? only time will tell Smile The log was too wet to write on so I added a temporary log wrapped in plastic. Nice container. TFTC

I am logging this cache late as I refuse to pay exhorbitant Hotel internet rates and waited till we were at Changi to log it. We went to the Botanic Gardens today and after waiting for a gap between muggels this was a quick find. Just as I had put it back another muggle turned up. Smile The log is very wet

Cache is back and in black! But, you know, if it gets muggled one more time, it'll just go into annals of geocaching. Replaced too many times already. Enjoy the hunt while it lasts!

Went to check this while DecoyDog acted as, well, decoy. Alas container is gone Sad. Will replace it soon. Watch this space.

B-Team find while enjoying the sights of Singapore, in particular these well presented and elegant gardens. Cache now confirmed as very wet and in need of maintenance - unable to properly record visit on log. TNLN Good Luck!

A second find for the day. I enjoyed the area, and there were no muggles about to hinder my search. I found it at 1110. I have to report though that the log book is completely saturated and unusable. I managed to separate the pages with difficulty, and left my green emu stamp, but I left my real log on the ArnGeko calling card in the cache. The cache itself, and ArnGeko's card are perfectly dry; it's only the log book that is wet. Strange! My thanks to IndianaJanes for the cache. Cheers, dak.

As my log below mentions, the log book is saturated. There is also no stash note in the cache.

Last time I was in Singapore, this part of the gardens was still under construction. It is a lovely area, just as beautiful as the rest of these gardens. I found the cache quickly and hopefully hid it well. It's great to have a cache in the gardens, I hope it stays there. Beautiful spot too. Thank you!

10:35 Armed today with the picture of decoy dog, had another go today and ended with success. Less muggles about today as well, which always helps with this game.

Cache is doing fine, TNLN. Thanks for the cache Decoy Dog.

Well I came but alas no cache was located, the hint didn't help much as I was using a PDA and I didn't have the picture of Decoy Dog with me. If I can I will try and return and have a look again.

Its a great spot, well worth the visit. Loved the art work down the hill.

This was the first of three failures, I think the heat is getting to me Big Grin
