I accompanied LeanneH on this find, and dropped off Bruce the Penguin TB, unfortunately I hadn't read it's mission until after I placed it here.. he now has a new place to hibernate in chilly Upper Ferntree Gully..
28th
I must have been following Dusty02 today as this was the second cache that both of us had been to.
Nice area, I sat and listened to all the birds in close by to the cache.

Nice find picked up TB Zodiac Aquarius .. TFTC
5th
Out a bit earlier with Anne this morning, we found this cache @ 09:11hrs.
I thought it a bit strange to put a cache in such an unattractive place at first and then I found that I had approached it from completely the wrong side and realised that it is in such a very nice place. The park yet again is one that I had no idea it existed. I think this would have to be the best time of day to do a walk like this too.
What a shame the T.B. seems to have gone missing ... I was hoping to at least discover it this morning and it hasn't been logged.

Located this one at 1311hrs while on a run with Tank47 - team effort with Peter making the find. A pleasant walk through an impressive stand of native kangaroo grass. Took a slinky and left a Hacky sack (footbag). Thanks dajjct for the great location.

Found at 1311 hrs with KI Bug, an easy find, tried a while ago but the wet grass and unsuitable footwear decided to wait for a dry day.
The log book was full, had a spare with me so left it there along with a Heineken Lanyard. TFTC Dajjct.

Can we go home yet? My batteries are dead & I think my parents are tragic. oh, we found it, excellent.

Duelling Gps's, mine said this way and his said something completely different. Looked up the clue before my batteries died, thank goodness! Gave up on his Gps & started looking around the environment. After checking a few likely suspects, bingo! Yay! And with that EB Nano sighed and said' "Can we go home!" Left the "Walk" geocoin as it seemed appropriate after we'd walked in ever decreasing circles. TFTC.

Soddin' flies! That'll teach me for forgetting the fly repellent. Zipped in to pick up the cache (and a bazillion flies as well) and didn't do much exploring (thanx to the flies) but will need to come back and check out the area more thoroughly (armed with fly net and repellent!)

Did I mention the flies . . . . .?

We did this cache on the way home from a day caching in the Dandenong Ranges. We were pretty tired but did enjoy the walk. Didn't like walking through the grass though, kept thinking about snakes. No Kangaroos spotted, although we were looking out for them. Good size cache so dropped in Fur Paw TB. Also left a decorated eraser for good measure. TFTC.

Looks like no-one's visited this cache for a while, or in fact anything around it. The grass is basically waiting for this summer's bushfires to roll through - even in mid-winter, it's very dry and doesn't look like it'd take much to set it alight.
A few burned out logs around GZ give the impression that fires aren't uncommon here. The blackberries are few and far between right now, which probably makes it a good time to visit.

Snakes = no problem. Maniacs with chain saws = no problem. Blackberries by torchlight & in waist high grass, not again...
Funny thing happened when we got to the cache & opened it, one of our caching cards was already in there (the one from our 10th cache)?!

Found today in the horrible weather - raining, hot and humid. Still, provided a nice bit of a diversion to the weather on a sat afternoon. Really nice area to go for do a bit of a walk through. There were some nice blackberries around which we munched on - look out for them, except the branches cut up my leg a bit (see picture)
Took a first time cacher with us who wasn't the one to find the cache, and I didn't find it, so that only left chubbybunny. Damn it! Our friend Tama had a great time and is looking forward to the next caches.

After getting an email form the owners of a TB that has been sitting here for some time I thought there may be a good explaination for this so I went to investigate. On the way there I was following Mr Coffee for 5 - 7 Km and wondered if he was going there too. He wasn't as he continued on down Lysterfield rd. TB was found safe in the bottom of the swaps bag[b)]. It has been removed and is now on the go again.
As I was opening the cache the fire siren sounded and I thought of dajjct.

We found this cache at 10:15 during our Return to Geocaching - 2006.

First of eight finds on part one of my 'Clean up the Dandenongs' campaign. I ignored the advice about parking 600m away from the entry point, but parked near the entrance gate and hoofed it in the last 200m. It was an GAFF1 find at 0930, and my day's caching was off to a good start (it was to go off the rails shortly after, but that story is told in other logs [B)]).
Although it's a good-sized cache, the opening is relatively small, and I had a time getting the contents out and back in again. I left the Fluffy TB here to continue her travels.

Thanks dajjct ,good size cache ,we were amazed at where the car crashed , how far it went.We took a key chain and left piglet and a 2 pack of pens !
27th
I was out caching alone (the other two were working) for the afternoon and thought that I would grab this one on the way home from Mt Dandenong . As I pulled up I saw another car and wondered to myself if I might encounter another cacher. The GPSr had me all over the place so I took an indirect route to the cache. I looked up through the trees and spotted Tickford. It was great to have a chat whilst filling in the log , no swaps were made as I had left the bag at home which was a shame as this is a very big small container and the TB would have fitted in
Thanks Dajjct

a nice easy cache and a nice little stroll. gps was spot on it was saying 1.14 meters away just as i had finished logging my vist at GZ i saw someone walking near by so i quickly put the cache back where i had found it and started to walk away until i heard someone yell out Tickford and i looked up and that person looked very familiar it was one half of TEAM CRACKERS this was only the second person i have ran into while on my geo adventures which ads a little more excitement to the find .

I parked nearby and enjoyed the short walk to the cache. No problems finding the cache - the GPS pointed straight at it. No exchange was made. I've driven by several times without taking any notice. Thanks for the cache and for introducing me to this area.

Found at 4.00pm as a GAFF2 (I inadvertantly saw Nutcaches log). Parked a lot closer than the designated car park, so it was just an easy 150 metre walk to the cache. The tracks sure do tell a story already. Saw the burnt grass and logs along the way - did the car make it all the way to there from the road to crash?? Thanks dajjct Took: Square Aus key ring, Left: Kangaroo.

Sometimes I don't know how I miss a cache close to home when it is released, however this was an enjoyable start to the day and worth the stroll.
Arriving at the GZ all four of the coffee clan made a bee-line for the cache so we will say I found it seeing I am writing the log,
Many thanks dajjct for the cache and its interesting history of the area (The bushfires of 82-83 was amazing too).

Found after work today. Parked at the posted waypoint and followed the instructions only to find I could have parked a little more than 100m from the cache, however, the walk was good even though it was drizzling rain. Co-ords spot on and easily found. TNLN, didn't have time to check out the quarry though I would have liked to, maybe another day.

Found at 8:30pm. Nothing on TV and a very close cache - off for a spot of night caching I think. A beautiful and clear night. Great views both from the drive up and from the spot we parked the car. We can see our house from here (at a distance). Very hard to sight the correct path in, in the dark. Quite prickly if you don't watch out. Thanks dajjct from D & S B-A. We have been keeping an eye on this park for a while.
