Found GZ no problem, and an obvious place for the cache, which also matched the hint. Unfortunately the hole was well and truly empty. Checked other spots out, but no cache to be found. No other spots nearby that matched.

We decided to camp at this camp ground on our travels. When I took out the GPS, we had pitched our tent within 50m of a geocache. Unfortunately, after searching for quite some time we couldn't find this one. It may still be there but we couldn't find it.

Nearly gave up trying to find this one as when we arrived there was a film crew setting up complete with helicopter. However when we worked out where the cache was going to be realised we could grab it quite discretely and did so. Wonder what they were filming?
No swaps.

Great spot to camp and throw a rod in the lake for a chance of catching the big one. Stealth is required when there are lots of tents about. TFTC Left Card.

It was spitting with rain as we arrived, and we thought we could see from afar where the cache was, but oh no - it was further on. Trudged through a bit of mud, and soon found the prize. No swaps, thanks and cheers from Grandalf(544)

Found on the way to pick up a mate's Hang Glider. He flew over from Omarama to the Airstrip just up the road.
Very clever hide - it's amazing that it hasn't been muggled.

Our first-timer wanted to find the cache after being left in the dust on the previous three caches today, so her enthusiastic nine-year agreed to stay in the car and give her a chance!

This was a peaceful spot sheltered from today's strong winds. You could hear the waves beating against the shores of Lake Ohau but this lake was calm and serene. A quick find for our ninth find of the day.

Very cool and foggy today. Managed to drive quite close to the cache and was probably one of my quickest finds yet! It was very atmospheric with the fog - I imagine it would be very nice on a sunny day. No exchange made. Cheers Gav [542]

Having trouble with our GPS accuracy so we need the clues. Looked in a few places, but not hard to find. Love this area and the lake is a favourite with the dog. Muggles were camping so we were careful. Getting sticks for the dog to fetch is a great excuse to be looking around.
+ pkt birthday candles
- chirping cricket
Thanks for the cache
