I felt a bit conspicuous riding a bike around this one. Best to be driving a massive european 4wd to fit in. There also seemed to be a fair few packs of teenagers wandering around (and sitting near the cache) at 6.30pm on a Saturday, maybe I should have waited to see if there was a party.
I got one of the letterboxes wrong but a quick change gave me the co-ordinates.

Nice one!

Hooray - found it at last! This has been top (or close to the top as new caches appear) of my closest unfound for months now, so I'm delighted to despatch it at last. Now is a very good time to do the WPs as the gardens in the area are looking lovely. Enjoyable multi, though not a fan of the hide of the final.

Thought this would be a quick finale after doing the walk weeks ago. On that walk, we didn't quite hit a suitable GZ so had to retrace to a possible error. Even in good neighbourhoods, numbers go walkabout from the poshest houses, & by the time we got to recalc'd GZ, a group of college students had gathered for smoko break. Thought we gave it a good look over today but still no cache found.

I had found this cache a while back with StreetWalkerNZ. Recalculated the co-ords using Google maps to jog my memory, and I remember that it was not an easy find back then. Too many places fitted the hint (which was open to interpretation) and the tree cover meant GPS coverage was not great. I took the instruction that I didn't need to go on the garden literally and if I couldn't reach from the lawn, then I didn't search. It was a crap day weatherwise, but at least that meant I wasn't not distrubed in my search.
But no luck.

This cache has taken me about a week to complete. I set out at the end of last week and collected all waypoints. Stopped for delicious lunch in the delikatessen shop between waypoints.
Unfortunately, the information I had collected didn't seem to result in a set of useful coordinates. Contacted the owner, who very quickly helped out. So set out again to find the cache (while completing Orient Express), only to walk past a homeless person lying on a nearby bench. I started the search, but must have been too noisy as he eventually decided to look what I was doing (I was searching in the wrong spot anyway, so no harm done). It didn't help that I had no idea what kind of bush I was after - I had failed to find a previous cache for the same reason. So abandoned the search, and returned this afternoon when the conference I'd been attending had finished. Despite the construction worker nearby, cache was located fairly quickly (I had help from KiwiLegend with the bush).
Greetings from Queensland, and TFTC! What a relief that this one is ticked off the list.

We actually drove around the WPs as it was raining and we collected a few other bits of info along the way for another cache. First up, got the first number wrong then realised what others have mentioned in their logs about the house being missing.
However, we didn't find the final. We seemed to be in the right spot and PB had quite a reasonable search. Annie was a little disturbed by the rather dubious muggles in the nearby carpark, so we left without having made a find.
Thanks for the tour of the area, and especially the final spot - always good to discover these little locations.

It's one of the older caches in Christchurch so I'm glad to have finally wandered around to get it off the list. It was interesting to see the difference in architecture (and how much some people are asking for a property) as time has gone on. The cache was easy to find, looks like the place might be getting a face lift in the future. Took coin, its been here a while. Thanks Grandalf.

#135. Found with Troodles. First house is gone, but it's number is easy to guess once you have all the other clues. Went to a seat near where we expected the ache to be, and found we were just a few metres away. Reception not great, and were keen to get home, so solved the clue and then found quickly.

Nice walk around all the flash houses. Waypoint 1 is gone, but there's only one number that works.

There was a bit of a muggle factor near the cache, but nzcarey spent a lot of time looking around at the wrong place, to put them off the scent, while his better half quietly found the cache five meters away.

Took a TMNT car, left a lion model.

Well that was fun!! I was driving around (shame I know - but it was 9:30pm and literally freezing) trying to read street numbers. Drove the filthy car (been caching for acouple of days) very slowly down Fendalton Ave, looking carefully in the rearview mirror to make sure I wasn't annoying anyone. Spotted the house I was interested in and drew to a stop, looked up and realised... that I was 50m short of a random breath test point. Never seen a policeman run so fast!! Good cache too, thanks.

Found this at 9:10pm tonight. Decided to pop out and do this one after dinner (how romantic!!) Smile Found all the waypoints with no probs and the cache was equally easy enough to find. Had to use the PDA and GPS to light the way and one of us ended up signing the log by moonlight.

PDA has kept our logging up to date and simple for the last 12 days while we have been on holiday. Today was the quietest day yet for us.

But the calculation of cache coordinates would of put me at the entrance to St Mary's School???
