We have the new cache ready to go but we are waiting to see what is happening with the garden before we replace it. We may need to go to plan B & use a different container type & move GZ slightly.
September 2009
5th
Went to check on the cache & couldn't even find it. The garden bed it was in has been cleared & I checked the others without success. We will order a new cache & replace asap. Stay tuned.
2nd
We will check out the damage probably on the weekend & if needs be will take off line until we can order a new cache.

We think we found it. This was our second visit to this cache and thought it was going to be another DNF. Determined not to be defeated, we persevered and geokid 7yo finally says "I found it". It was right under our noses, but it has definitely been muggled!. No log book, broken cache bottom but one trinket left inside.
Still not sure if we've found the original or the replaced cache. Either way, it was a beauty... and such a shame that is has been damaged.

Spent quite some time searching around for this one, but didn't find it.

Could not find, darksidelemm and I looked for quite a while.

That took some looking - including opening sprinkler valve "caches", working out a loose knot in the pine sleepers with a 'tool' that happened to be left at GZ. All to no avail. Google maps helped a little, and all along I'd was right there under my you-know-what! Great camo TFTC.
19th
Found by Sunshine Toledo at 11:30am. Looked in the wrong place for a few minutes before some other cachers came along and helped out. I was very pleased to meet 'Ciril' and 'lioness and milkman' at the cache; an easy find then. It is a great camo job too. TFTC

Interesting to look at the Art of the noses. Thanks for bringing me here.
29th
Pulled in and got off the bike, and wandered across to GZ. I have been fortunate to find quite a number of similar hides, using the same cache container up in Queensland, so let Mrs Bundy, who was a few steps behind, have the fun of searching for it. Admittedly, there wasnt much to hide it, as the garden is pretty bare.
Found at 1400 hrs.
Cheers

Hooray!! Have been to look here before but it eluded me (and the 3 other people who were seraching with me!!). It was actually very simple. I guess it is the obvious ones that are so easy to miss!!

Our first for the day and we couldn't find it. The exact spot that we were looking at was completely devoid of ANY garden - which had us wondering about our GPS. We will not be beaten - and we WILL return for further investigations. Thanks for the challenge.

for the life of me we cannot find it. Looked everywhere, looked under the nose and pushed around in the herbs, but nothing. Not happy jan.

Obviously I don't have a nose for sniffing out the more cleverly hidden caches! GPS had me going round in circles and even with lots of clues from previous finders... I still stank! [xx(]
Nice garden area, lots of muggle readers coming and going, and kids had a ball playing on the bridge over and in the dry creek bed.
Like Arnie says...I'll be back!
21st
Fiiiiiiinally found this one (okay, yes I admit, my scouts actually told me what to look for)..
I spent a *lot* of time looking in a more developed part of the garden, but today, armed with a very big hint, I found it straight away.

Although SatLoc was erratic I found the cache after a little bit of hunting around.
Due to watering restrictions the scented garden is a sorry spectacle – one wonders how much longer it will survive. I don’t think I would fancy anything from there in my Vindaloo!

This place was certainly on the nose today. It was a pleasnt smell however as I sat down on the nearest bench to outwait a council worker who was cleaning up some leaves. As soon as he was gone i commenced the search and soon had cache in hand. Signed the log, replaced the cache and jumped back in the car to accompanying residual smells left on my hands.

Nice park. Great sculpture too, pity that the garden is not being maintained. Not sure I would use that in a vindaloo, but each to their own.
The adjacent carpark was a bit busy, with lots of book laden muggles walking to and fro.
Thanks, Robmc.

Check out all those DNF's. Takes a couple of victorian cachers to have a successfull find it seems. Didn't take us all that long either. Plenty of nice fragraces here some of which tended to linger on our hands after touching the plants. We pulled up here and ate our lunchtime sandwiches.

We went past here the other day but the GPS was pointing so far off that we didn't bother looking. In the world of flying there is an expression called GLOC (pronounced Gee Lock) which mean G induced Loss Of Consciousness (ie a pilot blacks out when pulling too many G's) I've always wanted to coin a new acronym so here it is. GLOC - GPS Loss of Coordinates. (or Consciousness)

Did a quick stop by one I've logged before to drop off TB Mr Bill E Goat who's been sitting 1) in the spare room and 2) in the glove box for way too long. I feel I've let the poor critter down by inadvertantly dragging him down from the lofty Victorian Alps to low lands Adelaide...but it's a long story involving innocent/ignorant third parties, back country skiing, picnics in the sun, secret handshakes and knowing winks. Hope somebody can whisk him onwards and upwards sometime soon ! Cheers Shams.

Fourth of eight finds for my last night in Adelaide. This is a lovely garden that I would have been oblivious to if it weren't for this cache. There were just enough people about to make stealth necessary, however, the real fly in the ointment was the bloke parked almost at GZ, with his door open! Instead of obeying my GPSr, I searched in what I considered to be likely spots, out of sight of said bloke. He moved off soon after, and I decided to follow the needle. I found it at 1940 in a place that was more obvious than I thought it would be. Loved the paint job on the container! Thanks to team phrodo for the cache.

What an odd bit of art? Looked for ages, but couldn’t find it. Didn’t read the hint ‘till I got home, but I had looked there anyway. Another day perhaps?

An easy find on a perfect day. Took TB Take me to your leader and left a Pokemon keyring.
Thanks Team Phrodo.

Found on a rushed trip to Adelaide from Mount Gambier. TB Take Me to Your Leader wanted to visit a capital city, so found this one to suit his needs. Geomate lives nearby, so I will come back when I have more time and see if I can pick my nose (figuratively). Liked the garden nearby as all the roses were "on the nose" (in a positive way) as well. Thanx Team Phrodo.
11th
Parked not far away and found general area but GPS was playing up a bit. Tried by staying in open more and from opposite direction and soon found.
Thanks

Great car park, easily found.

We used to go to the library nearby here as it was our local. We poked around for quite some time in the wrong spot due to transposing the last 2 digits of the latitude. Not sure how that happened, but we were initially looking about 30m away from the actual location. After rechecking and correcting our mistake we found the cache pretty quickly.
5th
Found this one this afternoon. Quite familiar with this area, and immediately knew where it would be from the cache name. One half of Teamminx went to Kindy here, and often stood in wonder looking at this object as a four year old ... it was good to come back for another visit 17 years later.
Thanks!

I cannot beleive that it has taken me 3 attempts to find this one. I was thinking way too much into it, and not even taking notice of the obvious.
When i eventually stopped cursing at myself, filled the log out, left a PC mouse connector, and took some sunnies with the funny eye-brows on them.
Damn i feel stupid.

setsujoku, I think the plastic nose goes with the glasses with the bushy eyebrows . Took mitt and ball and left a skippy. We didn't know this place was here depite driving past quite often. Someone 'nose' what they are doing.

Found the cache at night, but having seen the sculpture I think I need to come back in the daylight for a closer look.
Left a Hawaiian Lai and took Barzan Abd Al-Ghafur Sulayman Majid Al-Tikriti, otherwise known as the Iraqi Special Republican Guard Commander Queen of Hearts card. What a name.

Lovely spot... Never knew it was here, but then I don't live here... Well, not any more...
TNLN, thanks team phrodo.

Stopped by to drop off the Washington geocoin we found in "Mick's Garden".

While I was bumbling around peering at the roses my eldest quickly found the prize, removed it to the handy nearby bench for inspection.
Removed a small notebook and placed a plastic dinosaur. Could not bear to remove any of the nose-related trinkets.

(Deem nasal puns included please!)
I used to live quite near here (29 George Street) many years ago, and this was my local park, library and shortcut to the Mitcham shops. This scultpture wasn't here then, though (we're talking back when pyramids were still in vogue...)
No trouble to find, and I took some photos to amuse Mama Bear when I get home.
Took nothing, probably left a squeezable kiwi (I often do, but I forget now!)

No swap made.
Thanks Phrodo.

Went out to find a TB, and found a great cache as well. Despite having gone to school in the area and visiting the facility nearby countless times I've never actually seen this sculpture. And I still don't get it - but then that's me and modern art.
Cache was easily found as I was in a rush and used the clue. Took the travel bug as we're going to South Africa and I want it to have a nice trip, and left the queen of hearts card from 'Moustaches' cache.

In Melbourne there is a cache with the same name as this, but it is so named because of the terrible smell there – its near the sewerage farm. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this cache had no such unpleasant odour to it. This was my first cache for the day, found at 10:20. No exchange was made. Thanks Team Phrodo for a much more pleasant smelling cache than expected.

Found at 1950 - very unusual sculpture, and we were one of the (probably) thousands who had no idea this garden was here. Spotted the likely hiding spot for the cache, and had it in hand quickly - TNLN, thanks for the hunt!

Found today on a lunch break. The co-ords were a bit off but I've posted waypoints that should help those who follow. Of course, *I* might just be having a bad GPS day! Nice cache, and I especially like the effort that went into camoflaging the container. Didn't have any trinkets on me to swap, so I took nothing, left nothing.
Well done Phrodo!

Nice location Team Phrodo!
Found the cache at 14:25 with the aid of the clue. Fully fragrant today! Needed to do a touch of muggle dodging - not too bad though.
Took: Koala clip

Had to make this a quick visit, MUGGLES!

Very interesting little sculpture, found by Rachaellii with some ease, blindly sticking her hand into where the cache was located without any regard for what could be in there. someone forgot to put the nose onto the faces.

First visit the GPS didn't put me in the right spot, but with the help of the clue knew what I was looking for. Very strange piece of sculpture indeed!
Took an egyptian, left a paint pen and Angkor TB to move onwards. Thanks Team Phrodo.

Found by Mary & David at 1420. What a wonderful garden - at its best now. Saw another couple acting like cachers and so they turned out to be. Lovely to meet another new team. Took $100 Eraser, left pack of memo holders. Our thanks to team phrodo.

A quick find on the way to get some lunch. Took two of my year 12's with me. The aromas around were a bit on the nose and were playing havoc with our hunger. A simple find but a good location. TNLN.

Found by Leah at 3pm, while I was still looking for something more tricky. Back to basics will do it most times! Swapped out a hi-five hand for a flouro gel pen. Thanks for the new cache in this very well presented little area.

I think this is going to become another of my suburban 'bete noir' caches. I had two muggle disturbed searches on Saturday and searched again with reinforcements today for no success. Pity, it is one of those classic "drive-past-every-day-and-never-been-here" caches. I shall return.

Ah the sweet scent of Spring! Followed our noses to the cache site. No beating around the bushes for this one. TNLNSL. Thanks Team Phrodo, Cheers Rav 4 Raiders

Brown nosed an hour off work to check out this new cache. Had a nosey near the library as the instrument led me astray under the trees.
Suddenly i got a better lock and with no nosey parker muggles around, zoom i had the cache.
Excellent location for a cache. Your selection for a first cache was spot on.

Found by Team GeoCoopers.
We've been hosue sitting 1,200m from this cache. Over the past weeks have been thinking that I've never been into this park and should really stop to take a look.
Thanks Phrodo for a good cache.
29th
Of course I left a large packet of tissues. Just in case. The nearby rose garden should make the place more on the nose as spring progresses Thanks Team Phrodo for your first cache. Clear skies, TeamAstro.
