As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Thanks for the offer Swampgecko, but I think I will have to bring the waypoint tools to work to clean them up a bit and make some special waterproof containers out of steel to house them in, plastic just isn’t strong enough.

Is there anything a "local" can help you out with, Oompas?

15-Mar-06
My second visit to this one (my first was as a geo-onlooker!). The first cache is in really bad condition due to water damage. Luckily I had prior knowledge so was able to complete it and leave my mark. SL. Message sent to owner.

Found Waypoint 1 and got the call to return home, seems like a great cache, I only hope I'll have the chance to finish it some day as I sprained my ankle doing "High Point" nearby and am heading back to Tasmania on Tuesday.

Cheers,
ThatGuy

G'day thankyou U lot for setting this whole game up. this was my 3rd find and my 1st multi. I must thank Mr S.Gecko and Mr Riblit for their kind guidence and gentle encouragment, although the cattle prod was a little warm and the whip cracking in the rural bush could be considered "a tad loud". I'm sure the welts shall soon disappear and I will recall the joy of stamping "Acko" indeliby in my mind: the game of GEOCACHINGGGG [This entry was edited by ack son of hack on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 2:09:29 AM.]

Wow! What an interesting cache!
We did this one at the recommendation of Team Webguy and were certainly not disappointed [^].
Upon arriving at the location; it was easy to get distracted from the task at hand with the surprising amount of old machinery scattered around the area. The old bunkers were quite interesting.
WP1 was found quite easily. With the mystery device in hand, we proceeded to WP2, where it all became clear!
After some scratching around the final WP was located and a smashing time was had.
Took - Pity on our hearing... Razz
Left - Our mark...

Thanks Oompas for a very creative cache! We love your work!

Big Grin First time out and so glad I chose this one. Have driven past this site many times and never knew it existed. Very impressed with the ingenuity which incidentally was looking a little weathered. Took the liberty of treating that with my trusty can of WD40 (which was the last thing I would have expected to need while stumbling around in the bush!) Well done Oompas, looking forward to finding your next.

Novel approach Oompas. How did you ever come across this location???

Anyway whole mob did this including geo-hound. Really need to convince Mrs Z to wear more appropriate footware.

Found the WPs, located our prize and left our mark.

Thanks Oompas for an intresting cache.

The most, I mean THE MOST fantastic cache I have every done, and I've done a few. I loved this cache. Great site, great set up and planning. Well worth the trip if I had of done only this cache alone. All the others were a bonus.

I suggest when you do the log you seek shelter in the bunker because we had the neighbour come over to say hi and fortunately I had a camera on a tripod and he assumed we were photographers being none the wiser. After chatitng for about 40 minutes about the history of the site we feined leaving and when he had gone returning the cache safely.

This is too good a cache to have it muggled. Thanks Oompas. I will be stopping in at more of your caches in the future.

The Bronze.

Found this on the way out of camp after every one had left. With Swampy watching and laughing as we stumbled through our first multi-cache. With Mrs Try hard falling and only hurting her finger (Yes This cache lives up to its name). Bashed the log and left for home

Great one Oompas

By the way as for what this site was. It is an old unused repeater

Knock, knock - who's there.... No, its not a knock knock joke its just me signing the log.
This was our first cache for the camping weekend. A very popular spot as we completed this one with Webby and Mindsocket.
Very well thought out cache - Thanks Oompas

Our 4th find for the morning in transit to the Burralow Swamp camp. We got near GZ, only to find The Rats and the Webguy crew ahead of us already logging the cache. Webguy and I found ourselves both in an interesting situation. The Rats had found the waypoints and left us to return some items to them, so having logged the cache, we then had to go and find the waypoints! Smile

Excellent idea Oompas

What a great innovative cache. We had fun doing this one. Many thanks. TNLNSL

Found this one with Dave Rat and Mind Socket. Not a hard one to do but an interesting twist at the finish of it.

Have been to this spot before with Swampy and Pesky back in July.

Took nothing but sore ears and signed the log. A very nice multi.

I liked this one! Not to say i don't like others! But this one stood out! Sure it's like finding stuff but it's finding lots of things to do the one! I now know why they call it "watch your fingers"! (i scratched my finger on the rock thing! and dad got caught on barbed wire) also watch out for the barbed wire! Please! I typed my name on the thing! We were looking for so long but then dad found it (smart dad!)!
It was fun!

Found this one with the family, sister and two nephews in tow.
There was a large Tiger Snake guarding WP1,Surprised but it was sent packing by my sister who is experienced at such tasks!
I have to admit that I always look forward to an Oompas cache as you never know what to expect, and this one was no exception. Great handiwork on WP1. Cool
Thanks Oompas.

I suppose I could follow on from Ropes' comments but I wont.
You have a sick, evil and twisted mind Oompas. Keep up the good work. Left my mark....

Interesting is a word I could use for this cache.
It's safe to say the log isn't in danger of being swept away by the wind.

Aaahhh! My old stamping ground. Found first WP without a hitch, hammered on to the next and after finding WP2, now armed with all the characters in the dictionary, I soon realised why they call them weighpoints. Upon locating the log sheet, I was glad I have a short team name!! A brilliant cache, Oompas, and thanks for the fun.
