That's it - I'm not taking the wife again. I pointed out the area it should be in, and savouring the moment, began a slow approach. She raced over, said "There it is" and grabbed it. So much for enjoying the anticipation. Took a toy car, left a plastic cactus. Thanks for the hunt.

After this cache had bought us to this interesting area, two weeks ago, with the bunker up the top of the hill, Garden Island out the other side and the beaut bay on this side, we were disappointed not to find the cache, and reading the other dnfs. After a quick email to Team C, and with his permission, he has let us put another container with a logbook and goodies at this site, we were fortunate to have printed the photos and have put it in the same spot. Thanks for a great spot Team C.

My find No 2288, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

Edit 17-12-09: I've just realised I had the Golden Portugal GC (PTYJX6) in my possession and not logged I picked it up from this cache. Sorry about that. All fixed now. It's been placed in a cache in Sydney to continue its journey.

After learning that the Geocoin Fairy had visited, we drove to Rockingham and looked for the cache in the dark while hiding from hoon muggles. Found it at 7:30pm and soon had the GCF coin in hand. Thank you Geocoin Fairy! Didn't have much with us so I emptied my wallet of loose change...a bit over $8 was all I had on me. Will have to leave a worthy swap later. We had kebabs on the beach after this, so it ended up being a great evening. Cheers! Mal & Ursula

Found it just before dark... it was already 6.45pm and a little hard seeing what we were up to but we were on cloud nine as we had just found our first stash and so we were not about to give up too quickly. This stash was well hidden under the rocks - well placed.

Didn't take anything but did write in the note book and left our calling card... a home made geocaching keyring.

We looked for this cache, arrived at GZ, had a look around for a while. We couldnt find this cache after 5-10 minutes of searching around the rocks. We were hesitant to go lifting up rocks because of evidence of reptiles, not to mention huge spiders in massive cobwebs!!! Beware if you are searching around here there are webs and spiders everywhere!
We gave up in the end Sad Cache maybe there maybe we didnt search thoroughly enough?? Maybe it has been muggled? Seems unlikely though. We had other caches to find (Wombat 2), so we pushed on. checked the photo logs just now, seems we were in the exact right location!? How annoying! Smile

The rest of the gang were doing some fishing off the point across from the causeway. I fired up the GPSr to see if there were any caches nearby. This one was half a mile away, so I set off with my assistant, one of the Bead Babes. We walked along the dunes and through a children's camp to find the cache area swarming with muggles having some kind of BBQ and night event. Luckily noone was around the immediate vicinity of the cache, and we were able to search without being overseen. Found it just in time before dusk. Got back to the others to find that they had managed to catch 6 herring - just needed one more so that we had one each. Another chap nearby caught a massive stingray, which he set loose after we had had a good look at it. Thanks for the cache. I will upload a photo of my assistant at the cache when I return to Scotland at the end of next week.

Well I had a bit of fun with this GeoCache as the photos in the hints didn't reflect in reality the location, as the grass has grown so much more taller. Plus the co-ordinates are out by about 14 metres (is it possible that it was replaced/rehidden by a visitor a bit further than where it orginated?).

According to my Garmin 5 GPS - the co-ordinates should be:

S: 32° 16.241
E: 115° 41.370

I had two D satelites confirming - and the D satelites are the most accurate of all of them.

Took nothing, left nothing as the cache was very small (small plastic peanut butter jar). Thanks, The Trekkers

An Eastern interloper over in this neck of the woods on business decided to have an after-work shot at this one. Definitely a tourist-friendly cache with easy parking, no hills or mountains (for a change!) and a spoiler photograph to boot. The spoiler didn't add much value in any case as the co-ordinates lead you to the likely obvious hiding spot. A few minutes fossick and it was an easy find. Being a mini-cache container, one of the items that I wanted to leave (a genuine QANTAS gob-stopper heavy-duty plastic 'ration pack' spoon from the flight over) wouldn't fit! So I left a meagre contribution of some party poppers and took the little yellow car. The cache is in good condition but it's getting a little crowded inside!

Lyn Pat and Nathan found this one as we were passing through on our way to collect the Travel bug in Dawsville that had been here only a day or two before. Found it easily even though it was spitting with rain. Took a Stick-Pin and added a few kids toys. this was a favorite place to visit when we were children, so it was nice to revisit the area..
