We only did the short climb to GZ today with a cache just tucked up out of sight. How the locals are Ok with all these people coming and going nearby. Another growing area of houses.

A quick find after checking the obvious spot and then reading Canary's log. Not much climbing involved, but a good opportunity for a wee behind the bushes. Thanks

Second time lucky! This time I trusted the GPS and it lead me straight to the cache! It seems everyone else is trying to find it in the obvious spot, judging by the trampled garden!?!

I searched for this one with "The Hancock Clan" and Mrs Hancock Clan made a quick find. I was starting to feel like a seagull feeding of their Caching scraps, but when the Karma is low and find is a good one.

Before turning onto the street nieghbouring the GZ, we initially thought we were going to climb that hill! But luckily the GPS showed us otherwise and led us a few metres away from where we had parked. It took a little bit of searching, but we happen to stumble on it after retraciug our steps. TFTC, left behind a googly eyed dragonfly sticky Smile

In another pleasant evening of geocaching with two good mates in Deputy Dog and Homedg, Another one we were unable to locate we did ring a recent finder on this one and they told us precisely where it was, however it still would not show itself, I reckon the curious neighbour across the road may have interfered with this one, or it's just very well hidden! again next time!

I'm so happy to have found this cache this afternoon. Last October I came to work in nearby sunny Smeaton Grange for what was meant to be a 5-week contract. Driving out from inner Sydney every day I determined to make my time in the area worthwhile and in my first week got stuck into it. Off I went to hunt for Grin and Bear It on Mount Annan in the William Howe Reserve - unsuccesfully and it was archived not long after that.

However it did introduce me to this reserve which does have quite a Climb and a great lookout and a great place to walk or run and I have been visiting here at least once a fortnight to do exactly that since October 2009. Five weeks became five months. When The Climb came on line I was particularly keen to find it because I have an affection for the area but alas was not successful on my first attempt. Today was my last day on the job and I was pretty determined to not leave this one unfound. Parked the car nearby and poked around but ---nothing.

So I took my last walk around Mt Annan with the thinking cap firmly in place. I'd re-read the few logs and really thought hard about where I'd looked and then I headed back for one more attempt. I stood where the coordinates had originally brought me and looked and thought and kept looking at the same spot and then I saw it. Wow - extremely effective camouflage. We've seen some tricky hides but this was truly excellent camouflage. It just worked! Great one, thekingclan! TNLN SL Thank you so much FTC.

Cheers............Gaztek

Found 18:05 this is on the edge of a very nice reserve. It is also worthwhile taking the walking track to the top and enjoy the views over this area. TNLN thanks.

Despite only having the south coords, I managed to find this deceptively hidden cache, not where you would first look thats for sure.
Not long after I commenced the search one of the locals asked what I was doing, so I explained that I was searching for a geocache, which seemed to placate her somewhat.
She must be a stickybeak, because she knew that four people had already been there!
Thanks for the fun....

1911 hrs, got to go for this after work, arriving at the GZ armed with my iPhone i begun... or more or less stood there waiting for the phone to adjust my location (apparently i was 1.7 Km away) i remember looking at this on google maps and after seeing roughly where i had to look i begun... this isnt where u thought it should be, i looked everywhere except there where it was lol a good hide in the last place u you'd think it would be lol and after signing the log and putting it back in place the iPhone loaded and told me i was 1 meter away (thanks Phone Razz) TFTC TN LN i took the climb before taking 'the climb'

I must admit that when I arrived at GZ had to make sure co-ords were right their not incorrect but you are
in full view of houses while searching the only time out of view when you duck down to get cache and sign
log if you are only 1 meter high or want to crawl all the way no one will see you.The climb is worth doing
afterwards just to get an idea wear the king clan had originally intended to place the cache. The views are
worth while but that the rules of the game so no what a pity........TFTC....SmileSmile

Good to see RTEC+ get a FTF

Oh no - more spiky reeds!! Fresh from a DNF at The Rapides with still a little more time left in my lunch break from work at nearby sunny Smeaton Grange I thought I'd give this a go. Just ended up gathering more red welts from the spikes. I frequently walk after work around William Howe Reserve which this location borders. I think long sleeves might be in order next time. Will be back! Cheers........Gaztek

Thanks for a new cache in this area. I was a bit surprised to be the first there, usually JKcourtz and Team Buxton are way ahead of me Smile. It took a bit more to find than you might expect. Thanks
