We were there!! Enjoyed camping overnight on Friday - which gave us extra time to hide our eggs on Saturday morning. Good to catch up with a number of cachers - both familiar faces and some we'd not met before. Thanks Hello Mrs and Moneydork for our eggs too.

A big Thanks goes to Moneydork and family for running the event. It was nice to put some faces to well known names and go on a little hunt for chocolate (next year I will bring my own) instead of caches. Had a great laugh as a certain member of my team got soaked pants and gumboots by falling in the creek a few times. Glad it didnt actually rain but everything was still wet so the spare change of clothes was needed and used. Sorry we were a little late and hope to see you all next year. Regards Gracie.

Great turnout for a "normal" weekend as opposed to a long weekend.
It was great catching up with everyone - old cachers and new.

I draw peoples attention to this part of the cache listing;

If its raining, wear a jacket.
If its cold, put a skivy on.
The event will happen regardless - so bring a change of clothes if you need one.

Have just booked a holiday cottage in Westport 17 - 24 April for a week caching on the coast. Will be travelling home to Christchurch that day so will endeavour to be there at lunchtime. See you there!

We will try be there as this is one our favorite camping spots, this is a better weekend for us too. We will also be camping.

Looks like this is a triennial event for me, made it to the third one, and will attend the sixth . 
Oddly enough having the event on a regular weekend suits me better travel-wise, [^] apart from the fact I'm not about at Easter this year.
Will also be camping/campervaning out on site [|)] for the Friday night , but not Saturday.

A 95% chance that Mr KE will be there for our first Easter Egg Hunt after two previous failed attempts.

M&A would love to make our 3rd (or 4th?) pilgrimage to Mecca, but will have to leave it until much closer to comit. At present I am supposed to be in Palmy on 26th.

Will be there on Friday night for sure if anyone else is intending to camp/campervan. May be there on Saturday nite too, or might go through to Hanmer for a maintenance run.

 Oops, I have corrected the date. Saturday 24th. That way some of those of you who regularly attend ANZAC comemorations have a chance to do both.

Monday is a work day for us. ANZAC day falls on the Sunday, but you don't get a National holiday day off in lieu, just like Waitangi Day this year.
In the event the listing should be on the 25th, I'll be there for the 4th year in a row. But if it is indeed on the Monday, I'll have to pass!
