Attended and enjoyed the opportunity to meet other modern day pirate for a gud cause.
28th
Having just moved up to Wellington it was nice to go to an event so early on and get to know who's active in the caching community, and of course get a few caches under our belt.
28th
#1096. Thanks for a great event. Sorry to have joined relatively late, but good to catch up and meet old and new cachers alike. Weather was great ... and on a day that people were called to go to the hills!
28th
A big thank you to Boxhill and Yeetrees for organising a great event. Thanks also for the GC prize - I'm on a roll winning a GC at each of the last 2 events I have attended, so I had better keep going to them
It was great catching up with some familiar cachers and meeting others who were only names on logsheets before. Good to see that the Wellington caching scene is humming along.
Managed to walk almost all of the tracks in the bush while catching up on outstanding caches in the area, a pleasant stroll in the company of Crystal Fairy, PB Hurricanes, Firewoof and of course Lyka the TB sleuthing geohound. Now all I need to do is plot all my tracklogs from today to have an accurate map for Otari-Wilton just in case more caches pop up....
See you all at the 2nd Annual Calling All Troops Event that Boxhill seems to be contemplating
28th
This was the first event I have attended and I really enjoyed it. There were too many people to be able to talk to everybody today, so I hope there will be more opportunities to share stories with others in the future. Great work, boxhill and Yeetrees.
26th
Pretty sure I will be able to attend. Would be good to get some help with a few things. Look forward to seeing you all then.
26th
Sorry all..One of KingSports will be on the harbour dragon boating and the other is working....have fun
25th
I thought other activities would keep me from making it to this event, but I now reckon I can make it. It'll be great to meet some fellow cachers.
24th
Will try to be there, I'd like to meet a few more of you folk!
23rd
I have been to Otari today to check out the BBQ situation, and can confirm that they are not working at the moment because of safety issues. The problem seems to be kids walking on them while they are hot and burning their feet. The council has turned off all of their electric BBQs around Wellington. So bring your gourmet picnic lunches and have a good time.
On a brighter note 'pinetree and sunrise' from Swirl Creations have very kindly donated a tee shirt that we will giving away to a lucky cacher by way of a draw. Thank you very much for this very generous offer.
If the weather is wet, (which looks unlikely going on the present forecast for the day). For those who wish to come, we will have a short gathering under the veranda at the information centre from 12 noon to 12.30, and for those who want to maybe retire to a nearby café for coffee, cake and a chat.
Looking forward to seeing everybody - boxhill

Was in the area today - one week early.
But noted at the info centre, that there is a sign stating that the BBQs are currently unavailable.
Have a great event! Pity we had already arranged to be here this weekend!

Northland, Wellington - yup, geocaching.com.au will be referring to the suburb of Northland in Wellington.
1st
Great idea and something I feel very much in need of but unfortunately I may not be available that day.
Geocaching.com.au shows this as Northland - could be confusing but hopefully as it also has Wellington in brackets it shouldn't be too puzzling though it might have any overseas visitors scratching their heads a little!
