Damn, now I feel like a real dunce! Need to pop up to the shops myself in the next few days, will stop by again in the daylight hours, when I look less like the home invasion type (as, apparently, we all do after pumpkin hour :P )

*FTF* 12/1/10, 12:30pm.
I was making a "Dad's Taxi" trip to Highpoint today, and had read the logs outlining the problems experienced at this location last night with the boys in blue. But I thought I'd try my luck anyway. I found the cache within 30 seconds, in a fairly obvious location, with very accurate coordinates... it would certainly have been more difficult in the dark! I can see that this location may become a problem, with the high level of muggle activity, and children nearby, but I'm happy to claim the FTF anyway!
Thanks for the surprise FTF, 80degrees. Took FTF certificate, re-hid cache where it was.

Due to the problems of the first attempt (boys in blue) we have decided to disable this while we reassess it.

Couldn't sleep for the heat, so when an email came through saying there was a new cache in town, so I saddled up the pooch and headed on down. Maybe it's because it was dark (just after midnight), maybe it was the heat, but I just had no luck at all! I spend a good half hour or more rooting around the underbrush, following tree limbs with my torch, I found one possible (and quite clever) hiding spot (the broken curb in the carpark) but after wrestling with it for a few minutes, realised it was NOT coming loose (note to self, neat hiding technique!). About 45 minutes into my time searching, I was deciding whether to give it another shot, or just give up and file a DNF, rather than the FTF I had wanted... that's when the (very polite)boys in blue came along and made my decision for me...
So, now not only can I not sleep, but I'm running over and over in my head just where the heck the thing could have been! The ONLY container I found in the area was a fly catcher hanging from one of the trees... which I investigated a number of times, just to be sure...
Better luck and congratulations to whoever finds this one... I might have to bring my little lady along next time, she seems to have a gift for spotting the ones I can't...
