Perhaps a complicating factor here is the difficulty rating of 1.5. In our case, four very experienced cachers spent about 10 minutes searching and we would have expected to turn up a 1.5 rated cache. Therefore we assumed something was wrong and maybe the cache was missing, hence our DNF log. Given the number of DNFs and the number of comments from those more sucessful that suggest it is a tricky hide, perhaps the difficulty rating needs to be raised to lower the expectation that this is a "quick find". Just a thought. Also, caches in little rural towns like this tend to be done primarily by people who are passing through en route to somewhere else. Often they are on a tight time schedule and have to limit the time they spend at each cache along their route. The "speed cacher" label may not necessarily be fair in such circumstances.

Cache checked today and it is located exactly as it was first placed. A minor amount of rubbish found at or near GZ was removed.
Some caches do take a little time to find and I would suggest that "speed cachers" who can not put their hands on a cache instantly should just log the fact that they are "speed cachers" rather than log DNF's. If you dont look you cant expect to find.

Ooooh, this was not a nice GZ! We were led by our GPSrs to a rather messy and unsavoury area, and chose not to search at all. Back in the car, and happy to leave this as a DNF!

Really messy and untidy location full of rubbish. Moved on instead of searching. (Speed Caching with nick_h_nz)

Too many muggles today, some sort of BBQ getting set up by the hall and I was getting the eye just for parking in the car park.

Several of us spent a few minutes looking for this but no luck. GPS was jumping around a lot and hint wasn't much help. Only one of 23 we looked for today that we didn't find which was disappointing. The problem with being on a caching day-trip is that you have to set yourself a strict time limit at each cache. Almost drove the wrong way up the one-way road on the way out! Is this just new? I was here for a cache about a year ago and I don't remember it being one-way.

A bad start to our day - we searched but it was a DNF for us.

Searched all around the obvious place with no luck - had to phone a friend - and the cache was obviously in the place that I had searched already. Good hide - if fact a sort of double hide. People who hide caches in flax bushes should be made to eat them (the bush that is Smile
