Was a great day just passing a geocoin through on the way to Wagga.

Good to meet with a few "names" and catch up with some others. Mrs bshwckr finally met some cachers apart from me and was surprised to find that they are normal people and even nice. :-) I had been telling her.

What a great event. Loved the Gold Rush
Thanks for organising this Mix.
Thankyou to those hardy souls who always turn out despite the weather.
Good to see the local HAVOC crew and even better to see a few from Sydney.
And those pesky central coasters always seem to turn up.
We always make sure it rains to try and keep them away, but STILL they show up. Bugger.
Thanks all see you at the nest event.

First to log!
thanks Mix and the HAVOC crew for putting on such a great event!
Also thanks for awarding the Brethren overall winners of the event. We enjoyed evey second of hunting for gold in the rain.
The trophy is going straight to the pool room!

A fun day out, great to catch up with everyone.

Hmmm, rain, rain and more rain as we drove up the freeway towards Newcastle, hmmm, seems like I was only just up here....
Decided to stop off and have a quick go at a Micro, no luck there though.
Good spot for an event, enough shelter, well, until the rain figured it was not getting us and changed to the slightly horizontal variety. Good to see a lot of familiar faces, some I have not seen in quite some time and of course meet a few from the local area who I had not met before but had probably done some of their caches a few days ago.
Had a great time, now we just have to face the rain on the trip home, but, we better do a cache or two on the way. just to be sure!!
Thanks for organising a great event.

Ahem, thanks guys, although we were perhaps a little premature in posting our Success at the gold hunt.
we all had a great day. despite the inclement weather.
everyone had a lot of fun, the kids seemed to enjoy being out in the rain,
and the gold hunt catered for all ages with a range of terrains and dificulties.
thanks for the fun guys!

Webby and I decided to track up the freeway and show that Sydney geocachers do venture beyond the 'Basin and Blue Mtns'.
On the way up the rain pelted on the windscreen, and the mood didn't improve after a DNF 15 minutes before the event.
But when we arrived and met Mix and family the rain lifted, along with our mood. After several other teams arrived, I joined with Big Matt and Shell and the Bronze plus one to seek our golden fortune. It was a great time searching for golden nuggets and chatting about caching in Newcastle and Canberra.
When we returned we shared stories with our geocachers and had a great time. A lot of talk revolved around the upcoming Wagga Mega Event.
Thank you Mix and the HAVOC team for organising a great event. It was well worth the journey up the F3.

We had a great time running around in the rain with the rest of the Bretheren team (including a couple of guest members for the day) collecting gold.
We are coming to the conclusion that any event that Mix is involved with means it will rain.
Thanks for letting us almost win today.
It was good to catch up with familiar faces and meet new ones. It was also very pleasing to see a couple of faces from Sydney people taking the long drive up (and probably an even longer drive home).
It seems that whenever we attend an event recently we go home with more bugs and coins than we took up there.

3251.
Shell and I arrived a bit late due to the weather. We got the location of the Event and were surprised to see the turn out, it seems that the weather can't keep them away!
It wasn't long before Mix was issuing his briefing for the Mini Gold Rush and we were off with Mini Bronze, The Bronze and Spin Doc. While all the other teams headed south we went north and headed around the top of the pit. It didn't take us long to get the hang of it and we headed from point to point. I think Mini Bronze had as much fun as us, even calling us back as we got carried away chatting and walked straight past a point.
Thanks to Mix for hosting and doing the ground work setting up the game that was great fun! Oh and congratulations to Pesky and the crew for almost winning...

A big thanks to Mix for organising the event. At least the weather cleared during the hunt. Sorry we left before lunch but we were geo-lagged after the push south. Great to see so many there. Hope to see you all at the next event.

Mix
Looks like a great event.
We are very upset that we are missing out, as we are still away.
The good news is that we are picking up heaps of caches in Mildura.
We will have quite a few new geocoins to bring back to the area.
Anyhow, best of luck to all cachers attending.
I hope it doesn't rain for you guys
(it simply doesn't rain here in Mildura)
And thanks to mix for all his efforts.
Fattyacid and family.

30th
1. 21°C with a 30% chance of rain (i.e possible shower)
2. The best parking will be in Iranda St (just west of posted co-ords)
3. The GPX file is just a waypoint code (e.g. GOLD01), Co-ord, and a Waypoint name (these are meaningless but themed e.g. Welcome Stranger) the only real advantage of the GPX file is time (labour) saved entering waypoints.
30th
TeamAJKW intend to be there. A couple of questions. Actually 3,
1. will it stop raining by then?????!
2. Best place to park or best entry to site?
3. Are the waypoints just a name/number and coord's or is other data provided in the GPX file? Maybe you can show a sample of data for waypoints. This would help determine the best technology to bring.
Cheers,
Anthony.
30th
