Time to put this one away for another year.

Thanks to everyone for coming, some from quite far away, and making the event the "party" that it was.

Thanks to everyone for embracing the geo-bingo - I only hope that next time we give it a go we will have another couple of cachers so that we can have an outright winner.

Thanks to Dark & Stormy & Maccamob for volunteering for the "find the cache" competition. I think we'll all try caching with socks on our hands to find that elusive one that we need special equipment for. It was also quite plain that age & treachery will beat youth & skill every time.

Congratulations go to the winners of the "name the cache" competitions - including Google.

Hope to see you all at "THE MEGA EVENT"

Regards, Trunks & Alan

We had such a great time over the last four days camping out and attending this event. So pleased to be able to put faces to the different teams and make new friends. Learnt so much about this wonderful game and solved a few troubling cache issues. We have now registered for the Mega event and hope to see you all there. Thanks Trunksnsuch for ordering the weather and organizing this event. Looking forward to next years event. TFTC. KeMs.

We had a great time at the event - it was good to put faces to names and hear some interesting stories. We stayed for 4 days in the area and did a lot of exploring on the backroads.

Thanks trunksnsuch for the great event.

I have only attended one other event I think but this one was well attended and the weather was perfect.
We were able to put a few names to the cachers whose names we were seeing in the local logbooks.
Thanks to the organisers.

Nice to be able to drop in here for an hour or so and catch up with old friends and meet some new by the novel game invented by the organisers. Great idea.
A great turn out.
Thanks to trunksnsuch for putting this one on.

When we arrived the party was well advanced, we met up with a whole heap of cachers that we already knew as well as some that we did not know. We also caught up again with the organisers Chris & Alan and we would like to thank them for a great event. Daff also wants to thanks Chris for the "cache starter" gift pack which we hope will "come out" in a dead stump sometime soon. Nice to catch up with everyone and we hope to see you all in Wagga in a couple of months. TFTC Trunknsuch.

My second year attending this event and I'd be happy to make it an annual pilgrimage - it's such a pleasant (albeit rather long) drive and I think I could always manage to liven the journey up with a few caches. It was great to see many familiar faces and, also, a few that I'd only met at last year's event along with a few that were totally new. Unfortunately, I was a bit of a late starter and missed the games but, unless I leave the day before, I think that will always be the case for me. The weather couldn't have been better and I managed a pretty fair bag of caches for the day too Big Grin.

Thanks Trunksnsuch - I had a great time.

It was great to meet so many known names, some for the first time, even if I did arrive late and alone. The better half of Dicksontwo is still in Brisbane with our brand new, first, granddaughter (irrelevent, really, just taking every opportunity to mention her!). Very many thanks for your organisation, Trunksnsuch, and what a great idea for encouraging mingling.
Are you going to Australia's First Mega Event? Easter 2010 in Wagga Wagga. See GC1YJ5R and http://www.rivcache.com/ It will be amazing. Support the hard-working committee (That's the text I copy and paste to every log when I remember)

This was my first Event, and the bonus was that it was held in my home town so I could walk beside the lake and be there in 10 minutes. Thanks Trunksnsuch for organizing this - I really enjoyed attending, and the challenge quiz was a great way for me to put faces to the names of other geocachers as well as make some new friends. The day certainly flew quickly by, and I appreciated being made very welcome.

As a newbie (still under 50 caches found) I picked up a few useful tips, and it was good to learn that there are not only other Apple Mac geocachers out there, but others successfully using just a simple car navigation GPS.

A great day, great location, great weather. Looking forward to the next one!

The weather was great and after the religious 3 coffee's this morning we packed all the geocaching gear. Once the teenager "what have you left me to eat"
and the "what time are you going to be home to cook our dinner" questions were answered it was off to the event.
We decided to head straight to the event and with no caches along the way we made good time. With that said we arrived at the event with proceedings in full swing.
It was great to see so many cachers at this event and with an excellent game organized by Trunksnsuch I think we actually got to talk to just about everyone
and I think this makes it a great event. The day progressed with a few competitions, prizes and caching talk that made the day go too fast.
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to Maccamob who helped on a joint effort to solve a picture puzzle, although I still cant understand how i could remember a cache
when I cant even remember the one's i did the day before. This does remind me i must log some caches i did 8 months ago if i could remember them...Doh!.
Our thanks to Chris and Alan for putting together an excellent event.
Hope to see everyone at the Mega event in Wagga Wagga, feel free to contact the organisers or myself if you have any further questions.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the "we came, we attended, we talked, we drank, we cached and I LOGGED it" Coffee Clan.

We were late contenders for this event as the fireworks display that we were suppoed to be doing tonight was canceled at very short notice. We arrived a little after starting time to find the party in full swing. We had a great time mingling and meeting some new cachers and catching up with old friends. The games Trunksnsuch thought up were a big hit and the prizes offered were fantastic. Congratulations to the winners. We couldn't believe how quickly the day went by as all of a sudden it was after four o'clock, so we said goodbye to the few remaining teams and headed off to try our hand at a few local caches
Thanks Trunksnsuch for organizing such a successful event, all your efforts were appreciated

Mary & David were there. We planned some time ago to attend, and to spend a couple of days in the area. It has been a while since we were last down this way, and there are so many caches to enjoy. Special thanks to Chris and Alan for the Event. The Challenge sheet on arrival was a great idea to aid in meeting and greeting. The weather was kind, and we had a wonderful time meeting so many new friends. Mary was thrilled with her bottle of wine for having travelled the longest distance, and David was delighted with his prize for the 'log the cache' contest. Perhaps he should wear socks on his hands more often? Many thanks again to Trunksnsuch.

Thanks Trunksnsuch for organising this event. It was just over the hill that I went to Uni.
Convenient that I was able to drop off my eBay sale item in Morwell on the way in as well Big Grin
It was good to catch up with all the cachers and a lot had attended the Halloween event last year...I might have to encourage someone to take up the challenge to better it this year as we won't be around leading up to Halloween unfortunately.

This was our first Get-together and it was a great day thanks to Trunks and Nsuch. We really enjoyed meeting you and the other attendees, who of course included some very "famous" geocaching names! We are already looking forward to next year's event - may it be bigger and better! Thanks once again, John and Susan.

Dropping in some coins & TB's. There are plenty of new caches in Gippsland but unfortunately none at the event - so we'll have some other types of fun. I'll try to have the latest on the Mega Event available.

Hoping to definitely make it. As a newbie, would be great to meet others and get a few tips. I live in Churchill, so the location is just a 10 minute walk away. Wasptor's cache is still to be found at the local shopping centre.

A word of advice: if anyone intends to drive to the shopping centre (further on from the Event location), please be aware that Constable Plod has been setting up a roadblock before the roundabout at the top of the hill on an almost daily basis for the past few weeks.Take care.

We intend to attend (we really enjoyed ourselves last year), but will confirm closer to the date.
Depends, of course, on bushfires, floods, pestilence, or anything else that might crop up to annoy. It is Gippsland!!!!!

[Unfortunately my pocket will be on the other side of he planet at that time so I (and my pocket) will not be able to be there. I will be however be there in some form. And I also think Trunks is holding this event when she knew I would be away so she did not have to put up with me! ]We all love you Chris! Really
