A great day out and about, exchanging stories, cache info and watching others complete the multi in the park. One cacher was headfirst down and in a spot of bother when another cacher had to pull the legs out! Very entertaining, thanks for a great day out and about!

After caching throughout the night we have finaly done what we set out to do, reach 1000 finds within our first year. And what better way to celebrate it then by having a good time on a wonderful day with other fellow cachers.

It was good to meet other cachers and to catch up with those we have already got to know throughout the year. We had fun looking for the christmas hunt set up and as luck would have it the co-ords we chose put us in the area of another cache on the hit list for the day and another on the way back to the event area.

Thanks to the organisers who put the day together, lets hope it become an anual event. Can I get in early, with the Mega event out west at easter can I request a southern location for next years Christmas Party and maybe north coast the following year.

Any way we had a top day and look forward to our next goal that is yet to be decided.

We now plan to slow things down a bit spending more time at caches enjoying them more while re-visiting some of those we enjoyed so much throughout the year.

We would like to thank all our fellow cachers for the experiances we have had over the past year and for their time and effort within the sport / game.

We are now planing for the Oz Wagga Wagga Mega Event (April 2-5, 2010) GC1Y5R. It looks like they have recently hit the MEGA requirements, and we can't wait to be part of it.

It was great to catch up with and meet a few people, even if it was only for a short time as I had to leave early (just as it started to get crowded.)

Arrived mid afternoon, but we caught ruffasgutts4x4 on the way out and signed the log book.

There were still a few cachers, it was nice to chat to Team Webguy, Croydon crew and Taiko'sFamily, who live so close to home! It was great to put some faces to names.

I always love events, and despite being a late arrival it was, as usual, all good. Lots of new faces too, which was great to see, as well as the old guard, nice to see them all again too. Any opportunity to talk about our shared obsession is always something to look forwards to. Thanks for the event!

We turned up mid-afternoon, but there were still a few cachers around to meet and chew the fat with! Nice to meet you all, and many thanks to the organisers for all their time and effort invested - much appreciated! Also love my first trackable, the NSW geocoin! It will grace my first cache that I am planning shortly!

Excellent event. Thanks to the Association and in particular Phil & DD for the organisation of the day & the activities. Always a shame there's not enough time to meet & chat with everyone. Thanks to all who filled out the Cacher Profiles - look for them in a future scrap book at a future event.

Hunter/Finder sends his apologies as he had to work this morning. I had planned so many caches in the area so was disappointed I wasn't able to be there.

It was nice meeting the local cachers. Looks like we have many of the same geocaching issues in Canada and Australia. We are going to be around for another month so maybe we will meet on the trails.

What a great turnout. Big congrats to RuffasGutts and DeputyDog for the work in preparing this event. The Xmas tree competition was a fantastic idea and worked a treat.

We had a great time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones - some from across the Pacific.

BTW - If someone picked up the cover to our fold up chair (has a Jim Beam logo on it) could you please let us know.

What a fantastic event. Just so many old and new faces to catch up with. Unfortunately, time always gets away with you and you never get to talk to everyone. RAGS- thanks for a very novel Xmas bauble hunt. Congratulations to those that found a brightly wrapped Christmas gift. Merry Xmas everyone, hope you find your elusive caches.

We had a great day today, Loved the opportunity to meet some of the geocachers that I regularly come across in the logs. Thanks for showing those impressive coin collections & letting us mere plodders discover them.

We arrived late in the day and missed most of the event, but it was great to meet a few people and put some faces to names, and then ran into a few more during the afternoon while visiting Lynched. Thanks for the event, and hopefully next time we will meet a few more of you.

A great rull-up for this event on a near perfect day - what more could we want?
Great to catch up with some old caching friends, and meet some new ones, though didn't get to meet everyone there.
Swapped some stories, discussed a few caches & before we all knew it, it was time to head off.
Thanks for the Novelty Christmas Treasure hunt Ruffasgutts - really well done! Thanks for the 3rd prize there too.
Thanks to the organisers too - this was out 630th cache all up and the 200th for this year.
Took a trackable.

Thanks for such a grea day every one. There were so many people there at one stage and then everyone got the clue for the christmas game and the place was deserted! We cooked our bbq and suddenly the whole place was full of people again all coming out of the bush from different directions. I was so busy talking to everyone that we only had time to find 2 caches all afternoon

I love my new Geocaching NSW pin and coin - a lovely Christmas present to myself.

An almost perfect Sydney day for it, with plenty of shade available to stay out of the hot sun. Great to meet some old and new faces, have some general conversation as well as discussing our various nemesis caches. Pretty impressive scrapbooks you had there Altaire, some of the entries must have taken longer than the caches themselves. Thanks to all who helped make this a fun event and all those who travelled a bit to show up. Anna also enjoyed meeting some of my caching buddies as she gradually gets hooked on it!

How good was today??

The weather was awesome, the location had heaps of shade, perfect for the size crowd that turned up at varying times during the afternoon. And, it was a crowd! Nice to see such a good turn up.

The christmas GPS challenge was done in a novel way and I think everyone thought it was a bit of fun, thanks to those who donated prizes.

Sorry we were unable to make it. We have been to the last few Christmas events, but we were asked to do a yacht race start today at short notice, when the other startes pulled out.

What a great day! I'm glad that I made the trip from Canberra to attend. Lovely weather, good company, yummy food, and we even found a few caches. I love my new Geocaching NSW coin and pin.

Took the Dodge Magnum TB and Sydney the Travel Turtle to drop off during my Christmas travels to Perth and Melbourne. I can't wait!

What a great day out. I was really great to meet familiar faces and also put faces to some new names. Was great to see the effort that some had made to attend, Wagga and Canada.... Struth! Well done to those members of the Association that organised the day and the cache hunt activities.

On a personal note, I really enjoyed the company and it was great to finally bring the rest of my family along and have them share in the experience.

Hi Blossom and other fellow Geocachers, for the record the wood fired BBQ's are stacked with timber ready to go and a nearby pile of extra timber is regularly stocked.
I'll have a Gas plate ready to go as well all things going well.
Remember that BBQ's will be dependant on local fire warnings on the day.

Shell and I will no longer be able to make it. I am currently packing my bags to go off on a 3 day fire operation in northern NSW and unless we get a lot of rain it looks like I'll miss the event. I wonder if there are any caches where I'm heading!
