To cut a long story short, I was almost assaulted by a local because I parked on the road outside his house, he even followed me across the paddock shouting all manner of obscenities to remove my car or ELSE!!!!

I called Mr_Roo, and while on the phone spied the cache, up where it should be with its little cover on it, I continued on with mr so and so still abusing me, got in car & left.

Thanks Mr_Roo for allowing me to log the cache.

That was the most disturbing encounter I have ever had, he and his mate/son/whoever had sticks and I wasn't hanging around. One of them was eyeing off my car with their sticks. My car only had 2 wheels on the sloping Kerb, the rest on the road, but it was out the front of his place - Man did he take offence and such language & I WAS OUTA THERE.

An easy find which leads me to suspect that it is not quite how it was originally hidden.

Thanks Mr Roo for getting us out and about.

1210 - Second quick find for lunchtime - too quick as indicated by some of the logs below.

Pity as I was interested in the hide after reading about it and the "clue" !!

TNLN - TFTC !!

Cheers....

A quick find after collecting the new one just a little ways away.

Now at home and reading some of the logs, I'm left wondering if it is in the right spot? Anyway, the log was signed and the cache replaced.

Found this cache quickly together with my daughter Unicornnikita. Fortunately we happened upon it when we did, as the nearby playground filled very quickly with half a dozen other children and a few parents. A nice hide and a great geokid friendly location. TFTC

Found together with dad, then had the chance to swing on the playground equipment for a while. A clever hide. TFTC

Very quick find - too quick I think... I think it is not the way it should be, there was no camo, and the magnet was attached to it. Tried to replace as best I could, and tried to add some camo. - THanks.

I was running a bit late for this one, and it was getting dark. This added to the challenge. I did seek a bit of help getting to the right level, and it was actually in it's original spot when I was here. It is a good idea, just needs to be a bit more robust. Thanks.

Unusually for me, I had use of a car to get home from work, so I decided to be naughty and detour to a cache.

I was lucky enough that my preconception about the container was correct - if Id been barking up the wrong tree, it probably would have taken me ages to find the cache. As it was, it was a quick find with the trees shielding me from the view of the kids on the playground. An interesting method of attaching the cache, it will be interesting to see how this holds up in wilder weather.

This was one of the things I got to chat about with Mr Roo, who arrived on his bike just as I was about to stroll over and replace the cache in its hiding spot. Its always good to bump into a fellow cacher in the field, and a bonus to meet a cache owner. It was interesting to see that the way SamWalkers hid the cache was not how Mr Roo placed it - but just as effective, and thats how we left it.

Thanks Mr Roo for a neat cache and a good chat.

We took the soccer ball to the park for a kick around (a bit of cover). We didn't really need cover. There was a bunch of kids vandalising the playground. Across the park a ute was doing a burnout. That turned into a fight, someone was knocked down and carried off. Yobs scattered and the police showed up. Nice neighbourhood.

Oh yes we found the cache laying on the ground. I returned but given the circumstances, in a bit of a hurry. I will go back later, in a different getaway car, to see if it is right.

Found with Eynowd, Xtumech and Gabbadabbadoo.

Was not expecting a FTF, we figured since the cache had already been out for a few hours when we swung by, it would have quite a few finds. A nice surprise in Team Eynowd's old stomping grounds. :)

Well, if the other 4 teams are all claiming gold, then that means silver for us!
We arrived home from the million paws walk and an afternoon of caching Rememberance Drive to see that a new cache had popped up and surprisingly noone had logged a find yet. So straight back in the car (much to geotoddler's disgust...she thought playschool was a much better option!!!) and off to try our luck.
Luckily for geotoddler aka (geogumnut?!) as we needed to let her play on the playground for a while whilst some of the muggle neighbours finished cleaning out their cars and talking on mobile phones.
Once the coast was clear the cache was quickly found, retrieved and replaced.
TFTC mr_roo.
NB not knowing you, the additional hint was no help whatsoever!!! Luckily we didn't need the AH and have since made up our own interpretations Big Grin

Join FTF with Dvixen, Xtumech and Gabbadabbadoo Big Grin

We saw the notification for this one come up at lunchtime, and after getting our chores sorted out, we decided to go after this one. Oddly enough, it's just up the street (literally) from where we used to live about a year and a bit ago.

There were a few muggles around, but we managed to find the cache without any problems. We're a little concerned that the cache might suffer in strong winds like we had yesterday.

We were also very surprised to see a completely empty log book. We thought it would have been found a bunch of times by then Big Grin

TNLNSL TFTC! Cool

After a big day out we were ready for a quiet evening - then saw an unfound cache. We were back in the car and on the way. Sunset beat us, we could not find it in the dark. Met Rubai with a great torch but to no avail.
we will return.
