Came to GZ by a very difficult route, only to find a much easier way once we got there!
Was worth the effort as the view is wonderful! Nice to be the first to use the new log.
Took nothing, left a bottle opener.
A great cache in a great spot. Thanks Cash Man,

We visited this one after the Cardiff point Geocache. We found it without a hitch and we had the view to ourselves. The cache was literally half full of water so we dried it out using tissues to try and stop the mold growth (which had just started). The log had been sealed well in the bag so no harm was done. We replaced it placing more covreing on top to try and protect it. Once we had finished with the cache we took a few minutes to watch the boats race on the lake. Stunning spot. TFTC Cashman. [155]

Found today, took nothing, left nothing.

I've lived within a few minutes of there for nearly 3 years now and hadn't taken a walk through there until today! Lovely place for a walk or bike ride.

2nd ever find Smile Was really good, a bit hard to find in the dark, but got it after about 10 minutes of looking. Great view (even at night). Well hidden. For anyone not from the area, at the lookout there is a sign that tells you what you are looking at across the lake - Well it's in the wrong spot, so it's wrong. It should be in the corner 3m to the left, if you are interested, base it on the stack you can see straight ahead almost from the sign - that is Eraring power station

Also noted it was wet inside as someone else mentioned...

TN/LN

Thanks!
Chris

This was our favourite cache for the day as we are passionate about Whistling Kites and Sea Eagles, having watched both nesting and feeding in Wallis Lake and Patonga. MrsFish with a wrecked knee waited in the shade while MrFish scaled the heights. Having seen a large snake at a cache further south it is always a worry walking through dry bush like this on a hot day but there were no surprises. There was no coin or TB in the cache as listed. Just as we were leaving a very large sea eagle appeared overhead, being harassed by a magpie, so that completed our day. TNLN. Thanks to The Cash Man for another very well planned and interesting cache location.

Fantastic walk and what a view once you get there. I didn't expect to see anyone at these locations as the weather was quite ordinary, but when we arrived there were a few people hanging around. We had to wait a while before we went looking for the cache in the general area. Once located we SL TNLN, the internals of the cache is very wet. We drained the cache the best we could given we took minimal gear with us.

Working our way up the coast today on work commitments my Geoson & I snagged this great find after a pleasant and quiet walk to GZ, we dropped a TB!
We counted 22 magpies on the way out of this cache 18 of them inside a 50 square metre area!
Thank goodness they were all friendly!

What a great spot for a cache. We walked along the lake shore and read the mining history signs on the way to the cache which was very interesting and then up to the lookout. It's a fabulous view from up here, probably the best we've seen on our weekend around the Lake. Dropped off the cement truck TB. Thanks fro a great cache location Smile
