Found after attending the GSAK event. Didn't notice all the unpleasant items mentioned in the previous log - probably because I was making minimal use of the torch! I wonder what the men in blue would think if they saw someone poking around with a torch at that time of night?! I've often invisaged myself hauled into the police station and being asked to explain! Team Waldron |
Out with setsujoku doing a few caches before the GSAK event.
We arrived at GZ to find some muggles in the park, so after trying to out wait them we went off to the Flipper cache at the other end of the street.
We returned and waited for 45 minutes for them to leave, but even though it was dark they refused to go, so we headed off to the GSAK event.
We returned about 9.30pm to find the park deserted and after a bit of a search I uncovered it.
We signed the log by torchlight and off we went for our next cache.

Well, we certainly waited out the long haul on this one. 2 visits before the event, and then another after.
The place creeped me out, and the evidence of the booze bottles, and spray cans with no nozzles, didnt sit well, and who knows what else we could find back there
Thankfully waldron made the find, just as we were about to give up. glad i bought the torch with me

Shane and I went out caching. A couple of big boys in a playground. Couldnt resist a slippery dip ride before finding the cache. |

This is the sort of cache I love, a walk up find. Thanks heaps for the cache and the introduction to another urban park.

I was really glad that it was wet and a Friday as these types of enclosed parks can sometimes give the lone cacher the creeps, especialy if muggles are abouts. None today thankfully. |

I luckly found this before the local K9 Labry entered the park. Talk about doggy doo.... Plenty around here. Bit like the park near DS-50 GZ.... The neighbours.. well I was pretty quiet [^]

Not a soul there today when I went looking for this, which is just as well. I would have had some strange looks as I emerged, I'm sure . No Swaps. Cheers Flippers
PS... What's Freddo on??? Am I missing something??? [?]

Find 249 without a GPS at 1.30pm
Google Earth had me climbing on a roof for this one.
I think the co ords are OK by a GPS taking into account all the other influences, but Google Earth is correct as I have found with another nearby Cache in the open the posted co ords are spot on.
Left a Wombat Key Ring

Another lunch time find. Three new caches with 1km of work. Now I have to work out what I can do next lunch time. Can't afford to go to KFC too often for lunch. Not to sure about this park - the play equipment looks as if it needs a little TLC. TFTC FLIPPER&CO. |

After dropping off Mrs C in the city we were heading past when Cal (2y.o) let out the words I often hear whilst driving with him "wee daddy".
Park was nearby, so we stopped, pointed Percy (far away from GZ) and then found the cache.
Cal grabbed a ball and I only had gold to leave.
Glad I had Cal for cover, and thankfully it started to rain so we had to return to the car rather than play.
TFTC Flipper&Co
Cheers
P.S The bag was already there. Not a result of Cal. |

With dying GPSr batteries I raced to this one only to have the dratted machine switch off as I parked the car. Decided to have a go (after rearranging the batteries to no avail)and located the cache. Percy was absent and Skippy had beaten me by about 10 minutes! Took dolphin left cache trouper. Gone to buy spare batteries for bag now.... |

Ha! I knew where to look! And there it was . That camo isn't lasting too well, so its a good thing the hide isn't relying on it. No Percy around tonight. Unless he was that bloke chatting on his mobile when I left.
Took: cache trooper (as he wouldn't fit back in the cache!)
Left: tape measure keyring
Thanks Flipper&Co! |

I work round the corner (Regency Rd). Even worse than being nearby 30 minutes ago, I'm on two days annual leave and won't be returning to work until Wednesday. No hope of a FTF!! |
