19th Found it SuperJaz And oh, what a chilly morning it was! TFTC
19th Found it Little Buds I liked the views from this cache.

Thank you thank you!!!
19th Found it Ultra Violet Z. I liked the cute baby pine trees growing back around here.

Thanks for the cache.
19th Found it Bewilderbeest This was our first cache visit, on a family caching day with SuperJaz, Ultra Violet Z. and Little Buds. We picked the right weekend to come - there was a sign up saying the area will be closed next weekend due to fast rally cars.

It's great to see the regrowth in this area.

T: TB Dalmation

Thanks Sol De Lune for the cache (coincidentally, we had our first family tenpin bowling day last week).

17th Found it mtrax I must admit making a noob mistake after I solved the puzzle and found myself in near the RSPCA..fortunately It was only a short walk and I found my mistake , I should have twigged that the parking coords where way off doh...
any at least I got double the exercise and geodog did too.
I can't be sure if I saw the other TB here
Nice walk and a little jog , great spot.
Thanks Sol

6th Found it wilga Found on an overcast afternoon with nathanr.au and geobaby - seemed to be a few muggles around due to a cycling event happening nearby...

TFTC
6th Found it nathanr.au The road was closed just after the car park due to some cycle race, so we were lucky to get in.

It was a quick walk to the cache with Wilga.

June 2008

22nd Found it BigON Dropped by on the way out to Kennies for a nice easy find, walked down from the building for a bit of extra excercise and to enjoy the 'bush'. Should be interesting to see how this area develops, I planted a LOT of these when I left school that are now well over 40 feet tall.
TNLN TFTC
15th Found it Tealby 4th cache for the afternoon. Good to have a nice walk to find the cache - all the way I had this picture of SS in my mind, on his unsuccessful FTF race - it brought a smile to my face just thinking of it!! Nice accurate coords, so the cache was in hand very quickly.
T: 2 bugs L: AF band & kangaroo pin - plus "It takes all colours...." TB (the other 2 TBs were not in the cache - I'm assuming that someone is still to log their find).
TFTC.

PS I'm just happy when I can score over 100 points!

14th Found it Captain Tomato A nice easy one to finish off the day. Did the puzzle when it first came out but only managed to get out there today to pick it up. I loved bowling... did it for about 15 years....until caching took over!!
9th Found it traineediplomat Found after widening the search, a number of spots matched the hint, but it was after a bit of widening that we found it. Of course the GPSr then said 0 as we stood to log the cache.
9th Found it aboreham found this cache with traineediplomat
9th Found it Diadem Well after realising that the whole minutes had changed I moved closer to the spot and found the cache after a pleasant walk through the new forest. TNLN. ?
7th Found it winglen A couple of caches on the way home from driving our teenager to work. I had trouble with this, having to widen my search area and beginning to wonder if my coords were correct. Really interesting to see the regrowth that occurs in what was once a pine forest - lots of wattles of different types, and other natives coming in. It was a nice stroll in here. L a geocoin, but did not see the TBs in the cache. Thanks Sol de Lune.

25th Found it herca Found at 15:15 with Andrew the Geo-Horse. Nice area for a stroll or jog with the hound. As we arrived, a falcon perched in a tree not 10 metres from us..... sensational!

TNLN - SL

TFTC.
24th Found it Green Fairy with a little imagination you can almost believe you're in a forest...
13th Found it Alansee As Feathertop has said I used to bowl but that one game was rather a fluke! Someone must have curved the bottoms of the pins that night. Once at gz the cache was no problem. Thanks sol de lune.
13th Found it feathertop This puzzle came out just before we left for our trip up here so I solved it and checked my solution with Alan. He told me that he once bowled a 277 game so that was enough for me!
Anyway off to GZ probably not by the best route but the cache was quickly found nonetheless.
Thanks Sol de Lune.
9th Found it ConcreteGnome I'd forgotten how to score bowling. :(
Nice walk and interesting to see the area regrowing. Sorry for taking so long to record this and to record dropping the warrior off at this cache.

9th Found it Barcoo01 An easy find for Geostrom, Concrete Gnome and Barcoo after a leisurely stroll; nice to see trees growing again.
Took Raffi Bug1

7th Found it CBR900RR S T R I K E !!!!!!!!

I enjoyed this one, thanks Sol, brought back memories of my average bowling career

Took : GC

TFTC
7th Found it Merekats #155 - Dropped in to do this one on the way back from Canberra Capers. Pleasant walk to a peaceful spot where muggles were definitely not an issue. Last time I was here(there) the area was covered in enormous pines. It seems like a different place, but the young pines are kind of refreshing and getting big enough to be fun. TFTC
L: witch Bien - Shadow Shape TB and Raffibug1 TB
6th Found it Lady TimeLord #16

TFTC enjoyed working this one out

6th Found it zoratz 33 cache Cool easy find thanks sol de lune
took: the movie maker travel bug
left: spin geocoin
4th Found it Tankengine Ahhh - haven't been bowling for years, but luckily still remember how to score! Certainly easier that trying to program those early computer scoring lanes! Nice location - should be quite impressive in a few years! Took some coins. Thanks Sol de Lune.
3rd Found it albida33 For once a puzzle I had no problems working out. I found a way to the cache that only took me past one pile of blackberries, but they still got me. Thanks.

Albida
3rd Found it mightybent I found this cache on an afternonn run with the Geoppoch. It was our third cache on the run. Once I found a scorer I soon had the puzzled solved. GZ looked familiar and we were even able to run all the way to the cache.

I took the 500 geocaches GC (I qualify to take it!!) and a dolphin TB. Cheers Sol de lune.

2nd Found it tate_alec I worked this out the other day and decided to grab it during my lunch break today.
Drove to within about 40m.

Took Coin Left Coin SL
TFTC
2nd Found it mtbikeroz Having played many games, and some just recently, this was easy. As was the 32km ride to work. As was riding nearly all the way to the cache along the forest trails.
Took some Geocoins, discovered the rest.
Thanks for the cache, the early morning exercise, the deserted forest, Cooeeeeee.
1st Found it AusCan1965 357 - Can't beat a Bowling cache !

I ventured out to GZ after work today after "solving" the Puzzle. I've can't even begin to calculate how many games I've scored during my lifetime - mine and others - over around 20 years of serious bowling.... I guess I won't see an easier Puzzle ever!!

Now without a GPS and just the memory of the sat photo, I saw a lot more 'mature' pines around....not to mention this lady running around looking for a lost dog...until I located the final GZ and cache.

A nice collection of TBs and Coins...

Took - King Geocoin, Left - China Geocoin..

TFTC !! Cheers....

April 2008

30th Found it SecretSquirrel-BJC 811 9:10pm

How bizzare! Found a mystery cache this morning at 9:10 and then another mystery cache tonight at 9:10.

I never saw the listing notification until after 8pm, and then dithered with the "should I? shouldn't I?" for the FTF hunt.

Strike 1 - my slow response.
Strike 2 - it is sitting on McPhan's doorstop and close to a few other Southside Hunters.
Strike 3 - I have never mastered the mysterious art of tenpin bowling scoring (until tonight).
Strike 4 - couldn't find my torch, the spare batteries etc etc.
Strike 5 - the interminably long journey from Ngunnawal to the cache.
Strike 6 - Completely looking like a gibbering maniac when Big Matt & Shell pulled up behind my car as I am about to scramble over the fence on the direct path.
DOn't I need 6 more strikes?

They never had much time except to say "you're not going that way, are you? there are lots of pine trees". I blurted out almost incoherently - "But it's on McPhan's doorstep, I have to....". I bolted off thinking that, not only did I now have McPhan to contend with, but Big Matt and Shell might know how to drive in and beat me there. Trying to run across the paddock of a recovering pine forest was an interesting exercise! Unfortunately I didn't wait long enough for them to tell me something else more important..

Breathlessly opened the log book....AAAARRRGGGGHHH!! I am Second to Find and then I laughed. Oh well it is much better than watching tv.

By the way, Sol de Lune, thanks for the fun FTF hunt and the education - a great fun educational puzzle. Nice embellishment on the lid.

Left Dolphin Swimmer TB and gerbra coin.
Discovered other coins and TB

30th Found it Big Matt and Shell Just sitting having dinner and a cache pops up on the notification pile! Well it is a mystery but I think I can do this one. Work it out and head out about 40 minutes after it is published after rechecking four times as I was thinking the GZ would have to have something to do with the theme, thinking surely someone over that side of town will have found it by now. We pull up in the car park, no sign of cars head out and do a bit of night time bush bashing to the cache, thank goodness the co-ords are spot on! With trepidation we open the log to find an empty book! WOOO HOOOO FTF! We sign the log and head back to the car.

I thought I'd see how far from the road some of the other caches in the area are. On the way back past the GZ we see another cacher, I pulled up and tried to tell him that there was a better way to go but he said something about "had to hurry we're in McPhans backyard" and ran off into the scrub. All I wanted to do was to tell him he could drive to within about 80 m of the cache, something we found out on the way back as we passed a car driving in!

Thanks Sol de Lune for the cache and the excuse to go out and find one after my DNF this afternoon. Now I have the bug tonight I may as well keep caching!

30th Found it McPhan 1045. Boy the arterials around Canberra got a work out tonight. Hope you both showed your passports on entering. It's only 2. something kms from home and I'm 3rd at least.

The puzzle popped up and I thought I can't go now as I'm planning a Vic attack for this weekend and into next week. Finally finished planning Sunday and then solved the puzzle. Sitting down too long so had to head off for one more today. CoolAid and Big M had just returned from night college and I managed to talk Big M into coming on a night raid as he hadn't been caching for ages.

We parked a bit closer than suggested but not quite as close as Matt found (fence in that way?) Quick walk accompanied by kangaroos leaving the area, heard not seen. Co-ords spot on and dropped stage 2 of the rocket (collect all 3 for a prize)
