We arrived at GZ, but to find only a few remnants left of what we assume was the cache...
So sorry that it has already been muggled already...

Container is missing from this cache. Obvious remnants are still present, indicating we were in the right spot. Needs some attention.
Found GZ for this cache however, the container is MIA. A quick hunt in the immediate vacinity revealed what looked like a screw on lid however, no sign of a container body or log.

This is an incredibly popular area during the week. I have walked past GZ several times over the last two days and there has always been someone right there. There were graduation photos, people sitting reading a book or just eating lunch. There was even someone I thought might have been looking for the cache as they were having a good poke around at GZ.
I returned on the way home this evening to find GZ empty enough to make a reasonably quick find. The hide technique was well done as I almost thought I must have had the wrong spot for this tiny cache - but no, there it was. SL-TFTC.

Back online after a long wait, You are welcome to log this a second time as the hide method and location has changed.
This cache will back up by the end of the year. I have been waiting for the holiday period so I can scout out a better location.
I had a good look today and found nothing but cigarette butts. IT looks like some people are treating the garden bed as an ashtray . It is most likely that cleaning staff may have taken it, or it has been buried under too many rocks.
I will consider moving this cache to another location, but part of the reason it was here is the view of the lakes. I will have a look when the students are not around and a think about another hide method, but may end up archiving this one.

Sounds ominous! The last time I had a string of DNFs I couldn't find it either, but it was still there!
Anyhow, I will disable it and try and have a look during the week.
I would like to keep the cache going as it is a very nice place on campus.

Think I was at the right spot, but so many UQ Open day muggles had to abort the search.
Joint effort with mightybent+babybent and smatty but no cigar! Muggles all over the shop.
Now this has been bugging me this one Finaly we found it!!! might need to put it back to its orignal place as it was just sitting there out in the open thats why it was an easy find!! placed it under a rock or two or three maybe four!!! lol TFTC!!!
2nd Cache on the UQ Campus. Found it very quick thanks to the hint... expected it much harder considering the previous logs.
If you think thats pico you should definitly check out these containers: http://shop.geoswag.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/media/g_nano.jpg

Small and well concealed! Be careful when you replace this...it falls off easily. TFTC
Found it! After digging around it for a while and becoming quite confused... hehe nice hidey hole. TFTC
went during the day didnt find after searching for about 45mins gave up came home and checked the logs in hope of finding a clue! armed with a torch and a few extra people and information, gave it a second go still a did not find dont know if i have got this all wrong as i am only new to the whole Geo Caching thing or if its not there? we did find some good hidie places though
This is the second time we have tried to find this one BUT this time we weren't leaving without it [^] and we succeeded . Again it was geohusband who triumphed. It was really starting to get under our skin. We even rang 2 help lines but ended up resorting to acrobatics before the little devil was in hand. Not a lot of muggles today as it was all but dark by the time we left When the wisteria is in bloom it is an even nicer place to sit and watch the water. TFTC
"All but dark" she says? It was so dark, the lights had come on so frantic cachers wouldn't fall in the water. We must have spent close to an hour there. Multiplied by both of us, that's a heap of time. A hell of a hide to be sure, and after that long, we were so happy to have signed the log, we even managed to congratulate 'totalube' rather than curse him. In truth, we'd run out of curses long ago. As a bonus, we found a very nice art pen that must have cost a pretty penny.
What a pleasant place to search for a cache, down by the lake with the fountain in full steam.
Not too many students around today as it's Swotvac week.
Signed and replaced.
Thanks totalube

It is not often you are glad not to find a cache the first time but that is the case for this one. Last time I was here the fountain was not operating, so it was a very different view that greeted me at GZ today.
This time I located the cache quickly as I had changed my mindset of where to look. It also helped that I found it lying out rather exposed. Signed the log and placed the cache back in what I believe was the intended spot. TFTC I really enjoyed the return visit

Found while procrastinating from PhD! I've walked passed here countless times, over the years. Nice cache.
SL TFTC!
SL TFTC!
Missed it last time we tried looking for it when in fact it was right under our butts
I was looking and looking, without success. Lochb was with me and as a previous finder she couldn't find it, then I read on the PDA that a few weeks ago the owner couldn't find it! Lochb suggested we call totalube, as we knew him from the FTF Frenzy day. I was a bit reluctant, but she rang, and just as she was explaining our problem I found it. I don't think you need to hide any smaller ones Tony... TFTC
Find number 1423, Bruce from Liz and Bruce and I decided that some westy caches needed to be found. This was our 10th tonight. What a fantastic pond and walk way. Thanks for showing us this great little area. TFTC Cheers THENANKS
Did a little night caching with Mr Nanks. Very convenient seeing we are staying at the Nanks carapark. A very nice area. Thanks totalube for the cache.
Having never spent much time in this establishment, I thought it was time for my indoctrination.
After checking out some of the other caches in the area there was only time to find this one before I had to go.
I enjoyed the view as I sat and searched. Located it after a few minutes. A couple of VERY big lizards were sunning themselves on the waters edge.

Its definitely there. After talking to gefscofix last week about this one, I went and had a look today. The hide has changed slightly but I'd estimate that its only about 30 cm from where I found it when it first came out. A nice inspired effort by whoever did it!
What do you do when you get a DNF on your own cache? Thanks to ControlFreaks for showing me the path to the cache.
The cache is in place and in a much better hidey hole than I had, thanks to whoever placed it there [^]. The clues are still relevant. The cache is in a good condition and still dry, even after all the rain we have had.

Nice easy find, found quickly - Yeah sure. There is a distinct lack of rocks at GZ compared to the surrounding area. The nasty side of caching is geo-damage. I'll be back once.
DNF on the Pico today. Turned over every rock too but no luck. Will have to come back once someone else finds it.
Started the series off by tackling the smallest (pico) of the three. Found relatively quickly, then headed off to find nano and micro. Thanks totalube.
We always have lunch just on the other side of the bridge. Now I finally realised there's a cache just a hundred metres away.
Tried to find it during lunch time, without any luck, even though semester has ended. Came back later during the day with Mrs. tinusv. After she read some of the logs, we got a little hint and found it straight away.

4.30pm on a sunday afternoon & all the muggle undergrads are either swotting or down at the regatta. Geokids soon convinced one pondering soul that this part of the uni was no longer serene. Cache soon in hand. I just want to know what made totalube even look here to find that little nook for the little cache. TFTC
found on the second attempt at 6.10 Monday morning. On my first try there was a couple within a couple of metres of where I expected the cache. Thinking they were probably waiting for me to pass before grabbing the cache, I headed off to (not)find the other two UQ micros, but they were still there on my return, so I had to wait for another day.
Not quite enough room for my TB

First find of the day in the company of dak's Emu Mob and The Garner Family. We chose the right time to grab this one as there weren't many people around. A nice spot. Thanks to totalube for the cache.
#9 of 32 finds in Brisbane on day two of a big weekend's caching, in company with The Garner Family and HawMorFords. I found this one at 0930. First of three little caches at UQ. I've done many micros; I've done my fair share of nanos, but I had never done a pico cache. I admit I was a bit apprehensive about what we would find here. I needn't have worried, because we found it after a short search. We saw some Dusky Moorehens building a nest out of lily pads. I made no exchange. Thanks to totalube for the cache. Cheers, dak.
Find #8 of the day in the company of dak and HMF.
A nice easy find in a beautiful spot. There were some lovely birds in the pond in front of us.

Out for a night time run with Wingaap tonight. This was our third find, and this was the cache that gave us the most trouble out of them all tonight...
Eventually, we turned it up. Lovely spot here, even at night! Thanks for the cache!

A beautiful evening just perfect for caching. As an added bonus I had the pleasure of tagging along with Nasty Steve & family. A sneaky little hide.
Cache dry and in good condition
Thanks
Seat overhang eh, couldnt' find it anywhere under or near the seat overhang all the way along that section of the river bank.
Dog did enjoy chasing birds and lizards however.

fairly quick find after dark. How much smaller can these get?

Seems it's a popular day to visit the Uni. A good test for the observation skills. TFTC
This is ridiculous !! [:o]
Ths smaller these caches get, the easier they are to find
I have suffered many DNF's in recent days on caches that range from kilo to micro
But today the pico and nano's just seemed to fall into my clutches [^]
Must be all that staring at little dots on screens at work is affecting my eyesight
GZ is a superb spot to sit down and take a break in the shade too! Lots of little 'quacking' boats on the lake and even a building with fuzzy white walls that seemed to move in the breeze sitting in the middle of it
TFTC.

Having been here during the lunch on a previous visit to the area I can see the problem with muggles. But let me suggest that it is almost muggle free at 8.30pm. The fountain was off so the lake was nice and still. I love this spot. Thanks for bringing me back...
micro nano pico femto atto zepto yocto ... man, I have trouble finding ammo boxes. This series is becoming scary.
You should see what I have planned for femto-UQ
I don't think I will go below femto, as I can't see a way to have a log, femto was hard enough!

This would have been a lot easier last week during uni holidays - far too many undergrad muggles today to even try to look! I'm not too keen on undergrads taking all the car parks, walking really slowly in groups along narrow paths, taking far too long to decide what to eat at the refec, etc. OR having to avoid muggles while out caching - which means undergrad muggles are the worst of all!
I agree with the earlier comments about stealth and muggles. I went past the area once and, with many nearby seats occupied, it was looking a difficult proposition. However, a bit later in the day the area was somewhat quieter and, although there was a constant stream of people passing by, a few props aided in a detection free find. Thanks again totalube for these caches and I look forward to the next in the series. I'll be keeping an eye out for anything unusual in the electron microscopy area! I forgot to add *FTF*.
