Took a look for it while in the City on Monday, to find
- I couldn't locate the cache - no tell tail cache cairn where I expected it
- The locality is now very developed.
- Searching for the cache will be more and more difficult as residents move in.

So I've decided to archive the cache, and any other cachers closer to the city can now feel free to try and utilise the location.

Found this one at 19:20 while on the way to a nearby farewell dinner for the boss. Its predecessor gave me a bit of a runaraound but I found this incarnation quite easily Smile. I wonder if it's going to require a lot more stealth in the not too distant future given those nearby apartments Surprised.

After going to the vic markets to cache, the natural thing to do was hop on the city circle tram, and go out to the docklands. Just as i stepped off the tram, down came the rain. Turned and looked back at the warm open door of the tram, but then decided against bailing, and to wait out the rain

After a couple of false starts from leaving the shelter, i made the 200m to the cache. Made an easy find, took a couple of pics, and moved on my way. Just as i got back out on to the path, down comes the rain again...

Have been meaning to come to this cache on the last couple of trips to melbourne, but havent had the time. Today, had plenty, so why not!

Found by edmil during a lunch time stroll. I figured that seeing I work in the city I should try and get a few of the CBD caches off my to do list. This was the only success I had today. Muggles, Muggles and more muggles everywhere but here. I was a solitary wanderer in this area so the cache was not only an easy find but an easy retrieve. I had the cache in hand after a bit of a stroll. Log was signed but no swap was made. It's an interesting piece of art Thanks for the cache.

Caught with my hand in the cookie jar!!! Sitting there as innocent as can be and then hearing "Oy, are you doing a cache?". It was great to meet you Phetlern. Loved your mobile caching equipment - pushbikes made for much faster coverage than foot. You have me all inspired to come back to Victoria and tackle some of those Bendigo and Ballarat caches. The area now known as the Golden Caching Triangle.

Thank you Partic for sharing this spot with me. Nice art work and a lovely location. Enjoyed it. TNLN

Rally offered me a dry lift home afterwards....which I reckon got me a lot wetter & colder than the bike. Rubik knocked off his last 4 or 5 to get 1000....while I tagged along in my work shoes through bubbling brooks, mushy marshes & meandering rivers. It was a real blitz night for me gents...pity I can't recall all the caches Smile

Count #0130 found at 1410hrs.

Finally, another walk from Southbank to this place since more than 4 months ago. The ANZ construction site just ate up 1/2 of the park area. Just as I open the cache box it started to rain!!! So quickly add log and TNLNSL, TFTC.

Tourists must not have discovered this location yet as the area was uninhabited and not a soul could be seen.

Grabbed this one during a docklands walk at lunch, Not too many muggles it was not possible, Still had the old coordinates so had to check the clue and finally found something that made send (It was at 777 not 779, but closer than the 799 I was first standing at)

Thanks

If you're finding the coords slightly out, can you please post what your correct coords were and I'll average out the result and update the cache.

You don't need to grab the cache safe code for Docklands - Safe Harbour cache, as the safe has been taken out of the cache now due to it constantly dying.

Found at 08:34 with Crisp Image. With excellent satellite coverage our co-ords were out so used the clue and found easily. No.6 of our City Assault Cache Hunting Extravaganza. TNLN Thanks

This was the only cache I could find in 2 hours of searching in the docklands area. Ouch! My GZ was out like Biggles Bear experienced, I had to resort to the clue. I'd like to be able to finish the series if possible, I hope it can be rescued.

Thanks,

R - B

Found this on in the afternoon after a few nice tram rides. Really liked the park area and a good sit down to find the cache. No muggle troubles, found the cache easily, took HiHo TB along with me to get it out of Victoria and hopefully out of the country! TFTC!

Found by Bob at 1215

I'm not too familiar with this newish area of Melbourne, although I had visited this spot once before while doing the CCT series. Fortunately, there didn't seem to be a game on at Telstra Dome today, and there wasn't much traffic, or many people about (it was rather windy, although quite mild). I had no trouble locating the artwork, but my GZ was in a rather unlikely location so I used the clue and things were pretty easy after that (the coords seemed to be ~20m off!).

TNLN, but did drop off a TB and got the code for "Safe Harbour"

Thanks Partic - you have a knack for finding spots to hide decent sized containers in unlikely locations Wink.

3rd find of the day at 1:54pm. Accompanied by Wheelchair Access.
I think I probably was the last person to find this cache before the change, so still with a fresh knowledge of where it was made it an easy find.

Its a nice spot in the concrete jungle. I didn't realise just how much open space was in the big smoke until I started playing this game.
Took silver car and left my biro. You have some great caches Partic. TFTC.

Staying in Melb for a couple of days we decided to take a walk to the Waterfront Market to please Mrs Wench. It was actually just an excuse to nab another cache.
Enjoyed the market anyway. The feed at the neaby Cambodian restuarant was great too.
Picked up TB for a trip up the bush to, hopefully, get some of you city slickers to get our of the city and come see the best parts of the state.

It was actually today (26th) we found it...not 25th (as I was in Bendigo at the caching event Big Grin. Nice large cache, nice easy find without GPS thanks to the hints. Itrdc5's GPS has him in the middle of the soccer match nearby...so clues good! gps bad! No pen in log??? Couldn't fashion one out of the pink golf tee...the only pen-like things we had were our PDA stylii. So here's a photo of the happy group with cache (hope I got that in the frame...I used the internal phone camera instead of the external one)...though I might come back past this area soon and sign it properly.

Lunchtime find with a colleague from work and BackPAQER who cycled down with his whiz bang state of the art superlight bike Wink.
Didn't have a pen and the cache did not provide one although the container is not small Sad
However we did take a photo to prove we were there.

Very quite down here for 1720 in the afternoon but you have to be lucky sometimes. I found myself on the top of a mound with nothing close to a hiding spot but the clue revealed the obvious spot not that far away. TFTC Big Grin

Went for a nice lunchtime walk in the sunshine with Raskal3 & Mazz to find the cache at 13:40. TNLNSL.

Lots of builders busy putting up more concrete and glass monstrosities. It's soon going to be extremely difficult to place or find a cache around the Docklands without being seen by dozens of muggles in overlooking apartments or offices.

Thanks for resurrecting this cache at a great sculpture Partic.
