Looks like everybody who attended has logged their find,
Hope everybody enjoyed the event , and we are looking forward to next year. (Which is already in the planning stages)
10th
Sorry we had to miss this one ... Pottery on the Path is at Hall Markets on the first sunday of the month... sound as though everyone had a ball !!
5th
Thank you for an excellent afternoon.

It's great to finally be able put faces to names. I enjoyed meeting everyone and hearing their stories or highlights of caching. This was my first event and my first time meeting some other cachers, except for JezzaXtreme. The game was great! The day was great! The park was great! The ride down and back was great! Everything was GREAT!!
I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will definately be back next year. Hopefully we can have caching events more often. Thanks The S's.

I wanted to attend, but alas, I had golfing responsibilities in the form of Pennant (an inter-club teams event) to attend to.
It sounds like a fantastic day was had by all - with any luck next time my calendar will be clear!
Thanks to the S's, of course!!
4th
it was good seeing Peep again

Thanks to the S's for a well organised, fun cache event. Great to see the old faces and meet so many new ones. A top day.

#74 with Captain Tomato + GPSr Thoroughly enjoyed meeting the wide range of people of all ages who are addicted to this game which challenges on many levels. Putting names to faces was excellent. Poor Tealby - I was a bit gushy about Pokemon Puzzle - but it was one of my first and it was awesome. The game was very good fun and a good way to well and truly break the ice. Looking forward to the Ball!!!!

A little late, but Yay I made it. Sadly [:X][:X][:X][:X][:X]Lizzie[:X][:X][:X][:X][:X] had to leave for home this morning, so despite a lovely weekend of caching together (Thanks Tealby), she missed out on this treat.

Thanks for a really great day S's. Enjoyed meeting many of the cachers from ACT and beyond, and putting some faces to names the are so familiar with Canberra caches. Very well organised!
4th
Didn't expect to see so many people at the geocaching event. And it was nice to put faces to a lot of the names we've been seeing around for the last 6 months. Thanks also to the S's for the work they put into it. Hope to see you all again soon.
4th
Wow - what a turn out! Certainly a lot more geocachers here than on previous occasions! Just shows how quickly this sport is picking up in the ACT and region lately! Great to finally meet many of those geocachers I've emailed in the past, and also from interstate! Event was very well organised! Thanks heaps S's and BigON! All in all a fantastic event, and winning cache of the year was a most pleasant surprise also! (Thanks also to Jurkiewicz for the great prize!). - Also this is mini matts first cache under his own name!

It was great to come along and meet so many geocachers, and to put some faces to some familiar names. Thanks very much to The S's, it was a great event, well organised with good prizes. The kids had fun - geocaching outings are often a drag for them, so this was good. Cheers

Thanks to the S's for a great event

A great day, a great event, great to see all the new faces and just who it is that "makes" me cycle from Tuggeranong to Belconnen/Gunghalin at least once a week. Fore! where art Thou? Well done the S's and BigON. A profitable day, 2 event caches, 3 caches, 2 FTF, 1 DNF and a mere 62km on the MTB, cooooeeeeeee.

Thanks to the S's and BigON for arranging a fantastic afternoon. I had a great time and was glad to be able to put faces to some of the names I've seen in cache logs (not all of them though - I managed to miss a few people). Thanks to all the people who voted for my photos too. I really appreciate it

Attended with Big M and 'crazy old' McPhan (as in, 'watch out, here comes crazy old McPhan), well done the S's and BigOn for organising the day. I finally met some Canberra cachers and I had fun playing the game and watching dad win awards.

It was great to meet a lot of the Canberra and interstate cachers, thanks very much everyone but full credit for organising the event goes to the S's I just helped out where I could. TTFN + see you's around the traps. [This entry was edited by BigON on Sunday, March 04, 2007 at 3:59:27 AM.]

Hooray! My first event!
Very very happy it didn't rain on us (Medicalmarcus, myself and accompanying friends)on our way there or back. I had a fantastic time! Our team won the game despite sneaky tactics from other cachers (big_matt I think). Thanks to the S's for the great prizes, and all the organization. Medicalmarcus has evil plans for the cache he must now place! It was great to meet everyone, and talk about caches and caching. After that I think it would be great to have a few more geo-games throughout the year!
Anyway, Thanks again to The S's and BigON, unfortunately I was too tired after the jogging and ride to do the CITO event, but we did help the environment by riding...
Thanks again, Jezzza Xtreme

Thanks to The S's for arranging a great afternoon. Great to meet some more of my fellow cachers. Today's get-together just reinforced one thing that I've been thinking for a while now about this sport - everybody that I've met who does it is just so darn nice. Hope to see you all around soon (except when there's a FTF involved !!). Stephen.
4th
Nice to meet all of you wierdos... er... I mean nice people (no, really I do).
4th
Great to actually get to meet a whole heap of ACT cachers some of whom I almost felt I knew already in a virtual kinda way! And congrats to the S's for a very successfully run event! Thanks again!

Wow, what a great day. Shell and I were so glad we made the trip for "interstate" up for this one! We finally got home and now the logs must be written.
To The S's, a great day, really well organised, we loved the games. Thanks also to BigON for your help.
To all the other cachers it was great to finally meet you all, the only other person we were hoping to catch up with was Fore! but perhaps next year. A big thank you to you all for filling in our weekends and making your own contribution to this great sport.
See you all again next year! We might have to try a bit harder and come in better than 6th this time.

457. What a great day, a great day for it and a great bunch of people. Fantastic to put faces to names and even to guess one interstate attendee (Big Matt - hard to miss I know.) Some just nothing like their name (Baby Gopher) And some great tips and stories from some of the established hands.
Thanks S's so much for organising and running the day. The work you and BigOn put in was certainly appreciated.

MSN Weather Hourly Breakdown
http://weather.msn.com/hourly.aspx?&wealocations=wc%3aASXX0023&setunit=C#details
A 30% chance of 'Sprinkles' till 2, then 50% of showers.
Medicalmarcus and I are coming still!
4th
After being woken this morning at 5:30 by heavy rain, I had my doubts as to weather we would be still attending today, but after a look at the BOM the rain looks like it is only on the coast for now.
Shell and I are about to leave the coast to drive up. Please let us know if anything changes between now and midday. We will be around the area from 10 and the plan is to get a few caches before the event.
3rd
Thanks for the great event everyone... nice to put names to faces finally! Special thanks to the S's for organising it!

Look Like on the Canbera radar Is rain is clearly up on the Bom Radar at 6am.
today bom weather forcast for canberra is
The chance of a shower at first, otherwise generally fine until a few showers and isolated thunderstorms develop during the afternoon or evening. Light to moderate northwest to northeast winds.
2nd
I'll be there (with Biggles303), but have to collect him from a school camp, so will be arriving somewhat late. If there is rain I will still be there at 2pm for the Clean Up Canberra CITO event. I also have 3 new caches to release that day (I'll have advance copies of the directions with me - so here is your chance if you have always been beaten to the punch for an FTF - let me know on the day ), so hopefully it won't be a total write-off if it does rain. Looking on the bright side - the recent rains have come late in the afternoon, so we should be OK [?].
2nd
We are hoping with all our might that it doesn't rain and ruin the day.
We are aware that we have interstate people driving here for the event and that if we have to postpone the event that this will effect them. If anyone travelling would like to contact us via email with an approx time of when they are thinking of leaving home to travel here and a contact number we will be able to give them a call before they leave or can provide them with a number to contact us on Sunday morning with the details of the weather and the event.
1st
We have been pondering the idea of bad weather for a few days now and have to admit we have done the whole ostrich approach by sticking our head in the sand and trying to pretend it isn't going to happen!
If the weather is bad we will have to postpone the event until another weekend, as the chosen game, picnics etc won't be any fun in the rain.
The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a chance of showers and storms for Sunday. We will have to make a judgement call early on Sunday morning and see how things pan out.
In the evnt of rain, check back here on Sunday morning to see what is happening
1st
Here's hoping it doesn't rain as The Mountain Goat, Shell and I have to drive up from the coast, it would be not so nice to drive all the way up to find the event postponed.
Fingers crossed!

I really don't want to bring it up but in the past 4 weeks it's been happening a fair bit. If it rains do we just get wet? Or is there cover/a backup plan?

So parking is near Woden Warren?
6th
Thanks Jezza Mrs S must have mistyped the co-ords when she typed up the event listing.
We have to change them to the BBQ co-ords so we will fix it up when we do that in the next couple of days.
Also don't forget that nominations close tomorrow (wednesday) at 6pm so you best hurry if you want to nominate.
5th
Hey!
As MedicalMarcus Reported we will indeed be coming, so I decided to check out the park this morning from the sky using GoogleEarth. It appears there was a typo in the co-ords 20.423 versus 20.243 and I don't suppose the S's live in that House (which would be convenient for them!). Anyway, it really isn't a issue as it's not a pin point cache but I probably would of blindly followed the GPSr and ended up somwhere over there!
Looking Forward to it, Jezzza Xtreme
3rd
Tegan will be 2 days away from the estimated due date of our geobaby when the meet is on. So hopefully both of us will be able to attend. We'll both be attending as long as the geobaby doesn't interrupt the plans.
