Logs
to find this micro cache, head south of the given coordinate about 15 metres, on the other side of the path and fence. mint tin hidden in waist high stump, chose upright stump rather than hollow log as previously mentioned, as tin was lying on the ground when found. tin contents damp, could use replacement.
Oh dear, this cache reminded me of the saying my dear old grandmother used about not mentioning anything if you can't say something nice! Just about everything was wrong with it - the coordinates were way out (as many others have noted ), the difficulty rating was incorrect as a consequence, the cache size is a micro, and all but the first and last three words of the hint were inaccurate!
However, after reading previous logs and using the coordinates therein, at least I was able to add my name to the logsheet at 14:30.
TNLNSL. Thanks anyway atsmug.

After spending the morning in the city ticking off a few more challenge caches, finding some letterboxes and some more escapees from the zoo we turned our attention east to look for a few GCA caches and knock off a few more dragonZones.
We didn't have a dZ find in Banyule so we went to check out this hide. Like previous finders we spent some time fruitlessly searching before reading the previous logs. We used the coordinates supplied by Sol de Lune, changing the 300 to 800 and stopped looking in stumps. It didn't take us much time to find a hollow log which disgorged a mint tin when held upright. Container and contents were in good condition.
After signing the log and replacing the hide we explored the park. There were 20 or so ducks around the pond enjoying the sun.
Thanks for the cache Atsmug and for showing us this very pleasant park.

Like others have experienced, this one took a while to find. The posted co-ords took me well off the track and about 15 metres from where the cache was found. I decided to follow the clue and looking as per that stated. Agree with C@W that the stump is more like a log/branch....but still about waist high when standing up...which it wasn't when I found it.
Anyway, cache was found and all was good. My co-ords were S37 41.300 E145 08.279, hopefully they will help as well as what geo_jas has listed.
Thanks Atsmug....nice looking reserve

After searching around for about 15 minutes I read some logs and we moved our search up and down the trail. The kids were staying to lose interest when I spotted something that turned out to be the camo. My reading was more like 20m away. I've attached my coordinates.
Thanks atsmug for the cache.

#GA2068 - 16:25; In Melbourne with the geohoney for a few days to visit the geoteen, and today the girls had a day planned around appointments, retail and the art gallery, so I was off a caching again! The plan for today was to collect eleven new caches along the Western Ring Path which have appeared since my last visit in July. After a stop over in Moreland and nothing on offer in Darebin, it was on to this cache in Banyule. The first pass revealed nothing of value, so I checked the hint. Second pass again nothing! Read some earlier logs, which put GZ at 15 metres from posted coords and started searching again. Still no luck. I was about to give up when I checked something that was just lying around. Turned out to be the cache, but at ankle height rather than waist height! I was relieved to make the find, having come quite a way to give it a try. TFTC atsmug

This was a bit of a challenge. We found it about 15m from GZ and, er, the stump is more log like Either way we can up with the very small small after about 15 minutes of searching in ever increasing circles. It's nice to get out and find some GCA caches and that was this weekend was all about. A few more for the Christmas in July game.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for hiding this geoache here for us to find today.

I took the scenic route from Whittlesea, where we farewelled a friend that survived the Black Saturday fires, but recently succumbed to leukaemia.
Stumped for a while, but soon discovered my mistake, and managed to be the second to log this cache. Thanks, atsmug... what an interesting little pocket.

Earlier today I spent 20 minutes walking around this park looking for this cache. Atsmug hides are sometimes very hard to find and with so many possibilities I gave up and came home to gather some family members to help in my hunt.
After dinner I told my husband that an evening stroll was required and my younger son informed him that we were on the hunt for a cache. We regularly visit this park in summer. It is great to sit near the pond and watch the ducks or other birds on a cool evening after a hot summer's day.
Tonight we walked around the pond, counted the ducks and then concentrated on finding this cache. After widening my search from earlier today I had the cache in hand and signed the log in first place.
Thank you atsmug for placing a cache close to my home.
