Description

The Youngtown area has a lot of history, Talentyre, Franklin House and Glenara. All the people that used the area had to have somewhere to go to church.

I have been driving past this particular church for years and it occurred to me that I have never actually stopped to check it out.

This should be an easy find for those experienced cachers. whilst there is no parking on Hobart Road there is a business closeby with ample parking after hours.

Cache contains a pen, log and a few swaps.

At times this may be a high muggle area as it is a historical sight.

Happy Hunting.

Today we decided to target some caches in Launceston to get finds for the battleship games. In total we looked for 14 caches and found 12 with 2 dnfs. We had an eventful day touring through streets. Venturing to places we had never been to before.

This one required the taller of the team as the shorter one could reach this one. TFTC

I don't know how many times I would have driven past this church and had no idea it was here, I didn't even see it this time and was looking for it! Anyway, parked up a bit and walked back and there it was. I search of the area had me finding the cache but how to get it, I found an implement and that easily helped me retrieve the cache.

Such a good hidey hole here, we were lost for a good 10 mins until we realised we were just short. At 5’3 theres children taller than i am but on e we adjusted our vision from down low to up a bit we spotted the cache. The question after that was can we get it? Lucky i had my geochild with me who doesn’t mind a climb Smile signed log eventually

After being forced to eat very la di dar food at cromey wines we headed into town and along the way we pulled over at this one and after no time at all we had a winner, Goose and I were soon adding our names to the log before setting off once again in drive North.

Thanks for the cache and sorry about the late log.

After finishing lunch at Josef Chromy Wines we were eager to find some caches. We had a couple of targets but could not drive past this without stopping. It was early mid-afternoon and all was quiet except for my stomach complaining it had too much in there Rolling Eyes
Spot on coordinates led us directly to GZ and an eagle eyed rat found it straight away. Obviously the couple of beers he had with lunch didn't effect him Laughing
Thanks activehunters for the cache

#GA882 - 09:20; Back in Tassie on family business, so the opportunity to collect a few more of the local caches was too good to pass up. I had collected a couple as I made my way to this one. It was familiar territory, having collected a clever GC cache here early in my caching adventures. Found a convenient park, then it was off to GZ for a quick find and sign. Poor timing here as we arrived just at lunch time and about a dozen workers from the business next door were sitting eating their lunch within sight of gz. By accessing the area from across the fence and not through the gate we managed to sneak in for a quick find in the obvious spot without them noticing. Thanks

We had a strange "deja vu" been here before feeling as we entered the gate to this church. Ah yes, now I remember. Took a stroll around the gravestones before zeroing in on the spot we needed to be. Almost had to pull out the go go gadget arms. Thanks for another one activehunters.
