Description
A moveable cache for the Bingo event
3-2-1-Blast off!!!! We have ignition!
This Bingo Trackable is part of the GCA Race running from December 1, 2012 'til January 31, 2013.
Please help it fulfil it's mission by signing the log book and logging your find online, then moving it along as soon as you can. Race on!
The rules of the "Moving Cache BINGO Game" are published on the Caching Games site - a ranking ladder and a map are also available.
Logging this cache is easy:
First Step
Log your find with a 'Found it' log (this will give you your smiley!)
Second Step
When you have moved the cache to a new location (a minimum of 1km from where you found it), log a 'Moved' log,
adding the new co-ordinates and a hint.
So go for it - this transport-themed cache is out there waiting for you!
This container is a bit of an experiment, hopefully it'll last the distance. It has a certain magnetic appeal to help with the hiding potential.
Logs
This is also done to help keep the Geocaching Australia database clean and up to date.
If the cacher owner confirms that the cache has been relocated, the cache can be unarchived.
A trip up the NW Coast of 1038km netted me 16 caches on day one; having an unexpected stop over at the Seabrook Motel (Somerset) on Saturday Night (was going back in one day but changed our minds); and 7 caches on the second day - total 23 finds.
Visited Wesley Vale, Devonport, Turners Beach, Forth, Ulverstone, Heybridge and Burnie on the first day. Second day; Natone, Penguin, Launceston, Grindelwald, Rosevears and Notleys gorge before driving back to the Huon.
This cache was the 5th and was found quickly on the guard rail at Forth, Tasmania.
Cache and log were Sainted at 1255hrs.
Driving to the cache along Lobster Creek Rd the damage by recent floods was still very evident. River banks were washed away, logs piled on the river banks and sand still over the road.
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.
Never been night caching before...so darn...grabbed the head torch and phone and headed out. Thankfully the wind had dropped and was quite a bit warmer than this afternoon.
Arrived at gz...was just a matter of feel ng for this small magnetic...then bingo...cache in hand. Thoroughly enjoyed the night hunt...thanks very much for the cache...cheers sirius.
thanks for the cool cache. Dropped down at Davis Silo Ruins.
Loved the design of this cache.
... then life got in the way for a week or 4 ...
I am hoping to pass it on/put it somewhere either tomorrow, or sometime in the next few days.
Thanks for the cache AmethystPig
Good luck .
TNLNSL. Thanks AmethystPig.
Thanks for the cache
Take your time to read about the catchment and don't get too close to the lizard.
I had it in the car and it grabbed the wrong bit of metal and hid from me.
I have put the cache in the starting point for one of our gnome racers.
Hope it travels well.
Nice Job.
I planned to pick this up on Thursday night but I had GPS issues and didn't get back until this morning.
So now I have it - I have to move it to a good spot.
TFTC !!
Thanks for the cache AmethystPig
