Description
Logs
Retrieved and retired. Many thanks to all those who took our cache on it's tour of Tasmania.
I was more referring to the bundle of sticks that could only dream of being a fine sailing cache like this...
Actually Thor had already had that dream and turned it into reality in 1947. Nine balsa logs, 6800kms across the Pacific.
Nice cache! I guess this is what Thor could only dream of...

Hi nutwood
This sailors salvation reminded me of the film "Papillion" and few others.
Thanks to Budge for taking this cache to the 12-12-12 event and helping us get a few good caches.
Great cache
TFTC and cheers

Found on an early morning bingo raid. What a clever piece of craftsmanship. Nice work.

Whoops! That head's a real mystery. I put a note in the published log for GA5383 but forgot to repeat it.
I can't figure what it's doing there. Still got it's price on and everything. Would someone spend $40 on a plaster cherub and stick it in the bush? Would someone nick a plaster cherub and hide it until it cooled down?
Perhaps someone's establishing a secret shrine in there? There is a certain atmosphere with all the trees but I'd be reckoning a shrine to Pan, not a plaster cherub!

On a near midnight raid at Deviot we managed to find a few caches by torch and iPhone lights. We were rewarded by 6 caches, and 5 first to finds. Thank you for the caches.
have the face with the wings! doh! easy mistake to make. We never know what we are going to find with you !
If what you have has a face and wings, no it's nothing to do with the cache and is a complete mystery as to what it's doing there. It's only appeared (and perhaps now disappeared?) in the last few days, since Bingo began.
GA5380 was the opposite side to GA5383 and was something that would directly aid a sailor, not something he'd pray to!

Thought we had it, well we have something! But we really don't think we have what we should have! If the next log is a DNF then we must have it!
Collected - happened to be in the area when this cache was published - thanks nutwood33. We will move to another location in the area late this morning. FTF at 8:55am
