Hi, I am THE PATHTAG PORTAL.
I am part of a RACE that will go for 2 months DECEMBER 2012 / JANUARY 2013.
I will continue travelling around AUSTRALIA after the race finishes.
The main purpose of THE PATHTAG PORTAL is to travel around collecting PATHTAGS.
For every Pathtag you put in, you can take that same number out.
You can put tags in and not take any out if you wish.
When POSTING YOUR LOG, please note how many you take and put in.
CACHE has a PEN, LOG BOOK and SMALL SWAPS, as well as PATHTAGS.
Don't worry if you DON'T have any pathtags, you can still log and move me.
This cache STARTED with 15 Pathtags donated by tigersden.
What we are going to do is, when Christmas 2013 comes around, we are going to AUCTION OFF the PATHTAGS with all money raised going to the ROYAL GUIDE DOG SOCIETY.

Grabbed to move along when I grabbed the gnome guarding it. Swapped one pathtag for another - 10 in the cache (so five have gone astray since it started... )

Found this at the lunch event in Geelong today. Didn't have anything to add to its stash, so didn't deplete it either...

While out grabbing some gnomes we collected the portal to take to Geelong for the weekend. Contents are looking very sad - someone hasn't been swapping 1 for 1 so added a few GCA tags.
No problems making the find an interesting drive in to GZ. Didn't want to move it as the CO might like it her local backyard. No pathtags on me, so no swaps either.

Ohhh just saw this one, would have liked to see it and swap a few tags while in Murray Bridge - oh well, ill keep a look out next time for the Pathtag Portal

Spotted while purchasing pathtags at OzMega. Owl pretty well emptied out the pathtags and replaced them with an equal number, including her personal OzMega tags which are now gone and retired and therefore collectors' items worth a fortune. (Owl is new to pathtags. Isn't that how it works?)Thanks for an interesting concept.

I was wandering around a very nice bluestone church on the outskirts of Redesdale when I spied a cache hiding nearby 
The 'portal' was a nice easy find.
And there is a very heavy bag of pathtags within
So I signed the logbook and continued my travels.
Reading the cache notes at last, I see that this is a 'moveable' cache !!

The call came out over social media that the CO was ready to retrieve this one, so I wandered out one night last week to see if it was still where I'd spotted it last. Sure enough, it was still snugly in place.
As we were going north for our Christmas celebrations, I offered to drop it off on the way. As it happened, we left so late that there were no stops; however, our string of Christmas dinners was not yet over.
This afternoon, the portal was placed ready for collection, within spitting distance of the only cache find I had time for during today's travels.

I headed out at the last minute to cover the first blank day of a new caching year, and once that was covered, noted the clutch of movables nearby... so off for a night stroll in the scrub.
This effort easily qualifies as the most impressive find of the night... well worth the time to hunt down, and the several minutes admiring its contents. Only one spare pathtag in my possession, so the dilemma was which one of these shinies I'd choose for my collection. The one my daughters will like the most, of course. Thanks, stagetree, and thanks to tigersden for the cache.

I left this one where I found it for those who are playing the Bingo game to find. This Moved log should confirm the coordinates.
Second find in this little cluster of moveables for me here today at 10:45. I'm sort of glad to get this one off the list because every time I try to navigate to it, my Oregon 300 hangs 
. The Dashboard on the map screen was able to get me there though .

Out in the midday heat today hiding BINGO caches. Luckily there were a heap of big old trees in this bit of local bushland.

I spotted a cluster of caches with (mostly) numbers that I needed.
"Nobody else would be stupid enough to go and get them on such a hot day" I thought to myself. So I waited until lunchtime and headed out to a spot that I had visited before, in the heat....

Relocated to a convenient wayside just out of Echuca. Watch out for snakes on warm days.
Picked up and moving on shortly.
We haven't nagged Cerena to design a pathtag for us yet to we don't have any to swap into the cache.

Teleported another cache into the race. Took 3 pathtags & placed in 3.
3 for 1 in this big old peppercorn but they are all in different spots. 6 tags swapped for 6 unique tags.
Grabbed on a Calder run this morning - had assumed the out-of-towners would have picked these up during the week but maybe they didn't need these numbers. Nice idea - hope people swap fairly
**FTF** Drove to GZ in the GeoDaewoo (what else are Daewoo's for??!) and quickly found the cache. GeoKeegs was admiring all of those shiny round things when Mrs Whit realised she hadn't packed any to trade - dang! All the way home and back again - 4 in and 4 out. Again, didn't want to move this one from the Calder - can't wait for holidays (perhaps we can move some then?!) TFTC and fab idea behind it! (Can't wait to find out who may want one of our PT's)
