Description

This is our second wheel barrow entry. The first one is somewhat smaller but as we were writing it up we realised that the wheel barrow is very close to the perfect transport item, certainly out of the land based contenders.

Some might say the horse, but you've got to feed them. A bicycle perhaps, but they can't take a load over such a variety of terrain. A pair of boots? Very useful, but there's plenty of places in the world where people get on perfectly well without boots. The wheelbarrow, a class two lever with a single wheel on the end. Simple and effective. Where would we be without them?

This is a Bingo cache so we ask finders to respect the rules. Please do not log a find unless you are prepared to move this cache to a new location at least one kilometre from where you found it.

What a place to find our old wheelbarrow cache. Haven't seen this for a while. Very Happy

Thanks Sirius. This cache was created as a bit of fun for the last games. It was never intended to have a life beyond the end of January 2013.
If anyone finds this cache please feel free to dispose of it and let me know so that I can archive it. Alternatively, leave it where it is and I should be able to collect it when I next get a NW job.

Can't believe this had been dumped in a WHA...AND with GCA website plastered over it. Not a good look and I'm rather annoyed at the cacher who dropped it off here as it's hard enough placing caches in NP's etc as it is...so why give them an excuse for shutting us down. Retrieved said rusty relic to move to an obscure seaside location where it can 'rust in peace'.TFTC...Cheers.

Found whilst trekking around taking the new GeoTriton for a drive. Unfortunately the Ute was loaded with people and gear. So took a photo for proof. BUT it's stayin' put. It it very hard to spot so should be safe.

Just adding a picture. By the way for those looking for this cache - the cache is only 200 metres from the car park

Surely somebody will be in the area shortly, more likely than Kind Island anyway!

Devil's Gullet is a nice location but I'm not sure that a rusty old wheelbarrow is going to improve the area or endear Geocaching Australia to anyone who stumbles over it. If anyone happens to be in the vicinity, please could they rescue this cache and remove it to an area less potentially controversial.

I have placed a few, well quite a few caches on my driveway. They are available at all times, but please take 5 or so at a time. I am happy for you to take more, but please don't just hide them all together.

By the way I have a nice photo that I will post of all the caches together

Hi nutwood
I love the Sanctuary at Railton.
Found this one at 1242hrs.
Felt strange putting it in the car to take it to its next hide.
TFTC and cheers

In Sykes sanctuary where trees can make GPS unreliable. About 15m East of the T junction in the scrub.

Nearly tripped over this one as I came out the door this morning. And, as a bonus, it harboured a number of other bulky caches. I will need some help with transporting this one to a new hide later today or tomorrow.

We hadn't really taken note of the cache size. Shock horror will it fit in the car. Fortunately for Kiricat who was shopping in town we were able to fit this in the boot - just!! Now to find somewhere suitable to leave it.!!!!

The Race is on! We decided to place ourselves in a potentially cache rich area in the hope of some FTF’s. We also placed some of our own caches in another cacher’s area to tempt them and delay them. Sneaky sneaky I know! Well our strategy kind of worked, when published we were 200 odd meters from our first find of the night. Over the next 2 and a half hours we managed 11 ftf’s.
Love it! Great idea.

Thanks for the cache and the FTF.
