Should be an easy find near one of WanderingAus' favourite places.

I've Cached Everywhere, Man is the largest cache series hidden in Australia. It is made up of the locations made famous by Lucky Star in the song "I've been everywhere" in 1962, lyrics by Geoff Mack, as well as other towns mentioned in verses made up by geocachers.

Darwin is the seventeenth place mentioned in the song, at Line five in Verse one.

Having visited Darwin four times since I discovered geocaching I own a few Darwin caches and have found quite a lot. Having "found a cache" there I could then place an ICEM cache there too. (I won't place an ICEM cache in any place where I haven't found a cache of some sort first - my rule for me only).

Having decided to place an ICEM cache in Darwin the next decision was where to place it. I have plenty of favourite spots in and around Darwin, so I put all the names in a list and narrowed it down to the best six, put those six in a hat, and pulled them all out.

East Point Reserve is a special place for the people of Darwin and is one of the most popular recreation areas for both locals and visitors.

Not only is the reserve readily accessible from both the city and suburbs, but its range of attractions is considerable and it is by far the largest park area in or near the city.

East Point Reserve covers almost 200 hectares, of which 30 hectares includes natural forest land. The Reserve offers safe year-round saltwater swimming at Lake Alexander, a range of barbecue and picnic facilities in a landscaped environment, a military history that goes back to 1932 and a range of community and tourist facilities including the Darwin Military Museum and it's recently opened Defence of Darwin Experience which provides visitors with an immersive, interactive, multimedia experience: 'the story of Darwin's role in World War II'.

A large number of buildings and other structures from World War II are scattered around East Point, making it a  very enjoyable soujourn.

GCGKNY Great Southern Land: (7) Cyclone Watch by The 2 Dogs has attracted geocachers to East Point for 8 years, and over that period has been joined by at least another 15 caches. As at 5 August 2012 East Point Reserve offered 12 Traditional geocaches and one very excellent night hunt Multicache, GC3GCN0 Fairy Trail by Night by TiedyeSmileys, not counting this one.

This cache is a drab camo'd 110mm x 80mm x 80mm plastic cliplock container with a log, 2 pencils, a sharpener, an Air Force armband, 2 crocodiles, a horse, a cow, a goat and a dinosaur. Please be sure to seal the ziplock bag, put the lid on tightly and conceal it as found, and watch out for muggles. If the lid seems to be hard to clip, try turning it around 180°, that should do the trick.

I've listed the terrain as 1.5 (not wheelchair accessable), but the adventurous 'wheelie' will probably prove me wrong. I'd appreciate a 'heads up' if that is ever the case.
