J & J's twenty-sixth geocache hide. A good sized container hidden along the Onkaparinga River.

The Onkaparinga River is a river runs from its source between Mount Torrens and Charleston in the Mount Lofty Ranges, and flows south westerly to an estuary at Port Noarlunga.

If you are more interseted in finding this cache, then you should know that you will probaby get wet. It'd be a real good idea to acquire some sort of watercraft to make your journey as efficient as possible.

A good place to launch your vessel is from Lava12's cache Peaceful Spot, From here you will have a leisurely paddle of about 270 metres to the nearest bank. From here, GZ should stand out about 117 metres away.

The cache is a 100mm stormwater contraption, loosely cable tied to the largest shrub on the island. It is held in place with eight heavy duty cable ties to prevent the river having it's way with the cache. Simply unscrew the lid where the container is resting to access the log book.

Anyone who has previously found our "Weather Tower" cache may well recognise this container. That's right, this container previously spent quite a few years on Yorke peninsula as a totally different hide!
