Another old GeGnome wanders off into the great toadstool land beyond

Did a bit of muster on old moveables around Canberra and moved then on to greener pastures (Victoria), however this one could not be found.

Sadly I think it should be archived....

GCA 2,026. Found during a prisoner exchange with Sol de Lune this week.

Hearing there were 'new' moveables in town I contacted SDL and we negotiated a suitable time and place for the exchange - lol ! Will get this one back out asap.

A few more new moveables in town and stopped by today to make the grab on this one. No problems and the cache was soon in the car.

After a bit of a rest following a long journey by sea and road, this old Gnome is back out with a posse of friends and on the move again.....!

#GA2871 - 11:50; After arriving in Tasmania last Saturday and heading down to Hobart for a few days, the geohoney and I were now headed north for a few days in Launceston. we decided to take the scenic route up the east coast, to avoid the roadworks on the Midlands Highway and to enjoy some nice views and collect a cache or two on the way. Dropped the geohoney in Richmond for some retail therapy and headed off for a couple of the local caches. I had a bit more time up my sleeve, so headed out of town to the reserve to grab this cache, which is now headed north to the big island for a tour of the National Capital with a posse of others. Needed a GCA cache fix today so grabbed Mud-Gninja and moved a short distance away as a couple of local cachers haven't found him yet.

A quick find while passing through Ulverstone. Grabbed this moveable cache and some others and will take them towards the north of the state asap. TFTC

Under cover with a group of friends waiting for its next move

With a small dinosaur and a big gnome in our caching bag we continued our walk. As we approached the search area we met several locals heading to the beach for an early morning swim. After a chat they continued down to the water and we were able to remain at street level and complete our search.

Initially we overlooked Mud-Gninja as it appeared to be part of the drift wood that is frequently found in this area. Closer inspection was required before we realised that we were indeed holding a geocache. Love the work that has gone into producing this cache Zalgaraith. Hope sea air does not cause Mud to suffer a material break down. We were amazed that Mud is still in very good condition after seven years on the road.

Another into the bag. All is quiet so possibly the dinosaur does not eat gnomes and the gnomes feel safe as they are both a good bit larger than the dinosaur.

Mud will probably spend a few days with us before venturing out to continue its tour of the island.

After hitching a ride in our suitcase and a freshen up Mud-Gninja Gnome is ready for action.

We are currently touring Victoria with our geovan in tow, using geocaching as a guide. We have visited many amazing locations through geocaching and today we visited the Cheviot Tunnel and decided to try our luck finding Mud-Gninja Gnome. Initially our search seemed hopeless until Mrs T stood and surveyed the area thinking “where would I hide a moveable” This location was 10 metres from GZ but her hunch paid off and Mud-Gninja Gnome was unearthed. He was very pale but pleased to be rescued from his hide after 6 years in the one spot. The container and logbook where in perfect condition.

I almost had a heart attack when I opened the door this evening and saw this apparition Goodness only knows what he has planned, he didn't say much at all, just came inside and raided the fridge.

Gamma dispersal point activated

The third Gnome Team (The C Team) has reached its dispersal point. All members have their new duties assigned and will rely on help from local human at Dispersal Point Gamma to reach satisfactory destinations.
Of course all Gnomes will report back to Clwydd Headquarters from time to time to advise of their findings.

'Mud-Gninja Gnome' has reached his assigned assembly point, where he will be joined by his team mates. He has joined his transportation and is only waiting for all to be present. They will all be on the move in a few days. He is anxious to start his new adventures.

Mud-Gninja Gnome has decided that he likes the Blue Mountains and wanted to see Lithgow, so we found him a quiet spot just off the Great Western Highway under a tree, near a fence.

I fear that a local family arrived here before me . . . The obvious gnome-hiding place was empty!

Mud-Gninja felt left out since he did not make it to the Great Gnome gathering of yesterday. I went this morning and gathered him up to meet some of the participant in the meeting, they are now comparing notes and making new acquaintances. What these Gnomes are planning I do not know, but I am sure they will tell me in due course.

Moved to near our new soon to be published cache. On the back road between Lawson and Hazelbrook in the Blue Mountains.

Found on a stinking hot day in Lithgow.

A gninja gnever rests, even when the race is run!

Last move for the Great Gnome Race for Mud-Gninja. he is now in Lithgow you will find him along the Main Street not far from Cooerwull Bridge. He is within arms length of the small retaining wall under a bush.

My old friend the Mud-Gninja, he has been very patient and it was time to rescue him from the 37 degree heat, mind you not a nice time to go bushwalking either! Still a rescue is a rescue, he will be moved before midnight tonight to get a few more miles on the clock. The sun seem to get to him he is very flabby now I hope a bit of cool weather will bring him back to his normal self.

This is as far as I brought 'Mud' -- hope this spot will be a good location for a final pick-up in the gnome comp.

I had to 'wedge' him a bit -- there's always a worry that our 'Mud' will just blow away in the strong breeze!

He's hiding right at the very end of Yondell Avenue in Springwood, near the new metal gate blocking the Yondell Avenue Fire Trail.

I guess I never thought I'd see the Mud-Gninja again -- much less tucked away in the bush behind the Scout Hall at Kenthurst.

Anyhow, there he was, light as a feather, having done a great deal of travelling since I last logged him in early December.

Will have to check how he's doing in 'the standings' as January 31st approaches.

Since I've already investigated Mud's credentials, I won't check up on him any further, but will pass him along to 'the locals' as quickly as possible while the comp is still running.

I went for a bike ride to nab this gnome, but when I spotted it I thought "Yikes, that'll bust my backpack!". But when I picked him up I realised it would be okay - he's not as heavy as he looks.

These gnomes are surrounding me now. While on the way to hide this one I went to a nearby rock and yup there was one there. So decided to move this one alittle further down the cycleway. So get out there and grab two or id have to make a power trail. TFTC

Picked up while cycling to work, weird!

Nothing there. No point in trying to compete with the locals so gave the other two nearby a miss.

Hilarious gnome. Reminded me of something from "Rex the Runt". Moved while out walking the dog. Had to put something heavy on him to hold him down!

Had to go into Civic for other reasons so it gave a good opportunity of gathering a gnome or two. Our teenager says 'Gnomore gnomes' but he is out of luck!! Found this with Norkmeister, thanks!

Dropped the Mud-Gninja at the northern exit to the Dog on the Tuckerbox, five miles from Gundagai. In a patch of trees on the left of the road. Hid near Graeme the Gnome.

Every gnome we chased today was gone! At least there was a replacement here although we'd had his company before. After Heave-ho's enormous bulk Mud-Gninja was the other extreme.
