Description
The Geocacher Clock
The Geocacher Clock is a realtime clock where the time is displayed via a photo generated and uploaded by the members at Geocaching Australia. You can see the clock in action here http://geocaching.com.au/clock/ or by hovering over the Cachers tab and select Clock to see in in use as well.
You upload photos to the Geocacher Clock via your My pages. http://geocaching.com.au/my/clock or by hovering over the My tab and selecting clock.
The concept is similar (well almost completely ripped off) to the human clock experiment which can be seen in action here http://www.humanclock.com/clock.php
Initially time periods which do not have any geocacher picture will show the Geocaching Australia logo with the time stamped in the bottom left corner.
Take a photograph of yourself creatively displaying the time. Avoid taking a picture of yourself in front of clock. Make it interesting. Try to make the time clear as after all the only indication of the time is your picture. Pictures that do not show the time will be removed from the Geocacher Clock.
You are encouraged to be very lateral in your thinking in how you want to present the time. The only requirement is that you or your GPS is clearly shown in the picture and that the time is also clearly shown. After all, it is the picture of the time that will tell people what the time is. You could lay down on the beach and hold your arms up to the right time or scrawl the time in the sand. Make a timepiece out of some old batteries from your GPS. Arrange your dogs and cats into the number on your clock. Be creative. Check the human clock site for ideas, but remember, you or your GPS needs to be in the picture.
Each 1 minute period is available for use, so over a 24 hour period this will require 1,440 pictures. Once a picture has been uploaded, that time period is no longer available. As such, we ask that for "popular" times, you please keep to one or two pictures. That way lots of people get the opportunity to get their face out in prime time.
To log this cache, you don't need to load your photo to this cache, but in your log let us know the time that your photo will appear so we can all go and ogle you.

Here’s our photo on the Geocaching clock at 21:06.
Today, whilst doing the Cybergran V Ephemeral cache:
GA16750 Your Time on the Clock Ephemeral Challenge
I decided to drop in and add this to the tally.
My time on the jigsaw was 3:36 so that was the time I chose.
Thanks for the cache and for The Geocachers Clock, Geocaching Australia.
I have picked the time 3.14 as it is pie time.
TFTC.
Cool idea - 8:30pm seemed like a good time to me!
TFTC
I know our time is two hours behind in the State of Wait Awhile, WA.
Our time was 12.14 while yours was 2:14pm.
Thanks for the Locationless Cache
Here is our pic.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for this locationless, it has given me a unique way to display one of my son's art projects!
GCA Find #50
Since I was born on the thirteenth I thought it an apporopriate time for me, hoping I did it correctly.
Now I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if it worked
When I put the cubes down and asked my wife to take a photo she asked ... "Geocaching?" Looks like these GCA locationless caches have had me doing some odd tings lately
Thanks for the cache!
My time shows some of my TOTT (tools of the trade) layed out to show the time of 2:35. This is the number of jobs we've been called out to since July 1st this year. Not a bad effort for a fully volunteer brigade.
This cache has been logged as part of the States of the Nation game. Go Victoria.
We were actually there at 4.54 in the afternoon. Since the clock also counted seconds, if Suzy had waited 18 seconds it would have been a better photo. Anyway, we thought that the artwork was just 'da bomb' and thought it would be good for the geocacher clock.
Thank you for this locationless cache.
Thinking about this one and I had a thought. How does the in house wild life think. Caught the micro Wave guardian ( Redback Spider) thinking about cooking breakfast.
8.00 am a good time I think.
Tried to be novel with this one. GPS is at the bottom of the photo. Another spot in the 24 hours now filled. TFTL GCA
We have only won ONE premiership back in 1966 when we DEFEATED [Collingwood] by ONE point
Unfortunately; it been FIFTY-ONE long years albeit having played in a few more grand finals since then
Hence my time 1:51 forever not am or pm
It may be our turn next year as the past two winners took 53 years 37years respectively to win theirs
Sainted at 1351 hrs
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Cheers OldSaint
Logged as part of the "States of the Nation" game.
Made it out of WAGB geocoins
You will see me at 9:11 am
Did a cache by Ryan00, GA6901 'Lots of 2s' with the following requirement:
"A bit of a different type of locationless cache, 2's my lucky number.
To log this cache, find area that has an elevation of exactly 222 metres. Take a photo of your GPS at this location at exactly 2:22am or pm.
Make sure there is proof of time and elevation. You can get both on the screen of your GPS or phone at one time."
My GPS shows the 222m in height and my watch proves the time.
TFTC and cheers
OldSaint.
Just happened to be in the right place at the right time. No it's not double time, the one on the left is the radio station ... a smilie for cleaning the Cachin'RV, sweet!
Cheers
Bundy
Some familiar containers make up my Clock for 7:11
TFTC !!
What a great concept, thanks Geocaching Australia.

Clock is made from painted 200ml sistema containers that will soon be out as caches.......all 12 of them.
Clock hands are pens of course, as pens go 'inside' caches.
Thanks for the fun
It's taken on my ironing board - seemed a good spot at the time!
TFTC and the time.
I know you shouldn't play with your food.
Interesting idea!
Logged 1.51 am (don't ask what I was still doing up at that time....)
I thought I would find this on my birthday. The photo is next to the piano.
23:11 is embedded in the song.
stuck at home with sinus infection nothing else to do but log GCA finds and think of clever new caches
hope this works
I thought we had to do it at the precise time so that's why this was rushed
Using our two GPSr units for clock hands, we've logged 9:00am.
We are claiming 9:24 am.
While the picture ostensibly only shows the 'time' & my gps, if you look carefully you can see my reflection in the gps.
It takes a while to get used to reading the time but with practise it works out OK!.
Except I forgot to count two of the clocks...
One of these clocks is not like the other ones...
Just working on the geocache density maps and thought what better than to add my work to the clock. Great idea!
