Description

Dear fellow cache collectors,

It is I, Sonic the super bird!

This cache is all about your christmas tree, to get you right into the festive season!

So here's what you've gotta do:

1. Take a photo of your christmas tree - up and decorated.

2. Log the picture and say when you got it.

3. A little bit about it and where you collected the decorations from (just about a couple of them).

4. Enjoy christmas!

One behalf of everyone in team Sonic the super bird,

Merry Christmas!

Over and out,

SONIC THE SUPER BIRD.

Here's a picture of our Christmas Tree last Christmas while on a caching family holiday near Nelson Bay. We turned the spiral staircase to nowhere into a Christmas tree! The decorations were fished out from the top of the cupboard at home and carted across the countryside for the holiday. They were purchased during an after Christmas sale several years earlier I remember clearly standing in a long line waiting for the mark down price sticker to go. Anyway they went to the top of the cupboard but were forgotten about until this Christmas and since they were in a suitable travel box....a travelling they went.

This is the Christmas at home in Adelaide where a lot of our local cachers here in Canberra seem to have come from. This tree has been in the family for ages and just seems to keep coming out. All the tapestry ornaments are handmade by my mum. Thanks. Albida.

This is our kindergym christmas tree, it was donated many years ago so the kids that use our kindergym had a tree. The decorations are also donated, tinsel. A boring tree but it sees over 300 kids a week and santa delivers a present for each and every one of them.
Santa in this photo is actually another geocacher "the mad mashys" on his first year as santa in 2009.

Quite few of our decorations are several years worth of children's Christmas craft. The rest this year were the $2-shop variety. And the kitten, who un-decorated daily ... not a pretty tree for 2009 with a mad cat on the loose! Not fragiles out this time...

I'm logging this somewhat belatedly, but here's our tree. We picked it up from the Importer (I think?) a couple of years ago. Two of the most recent decorations are from the latest LEGO magazine... A cardboard minifig Santa and a tree.

Our Christas tree is a hand me down from years and years ago and the decorations are mostly handmade from the four little red tags.
We have to rotate the angel or star at the top every year as we seem to have several. Some of the decorations are from when I was a child and when I look at them they bring back very fond memories.
This years tree has a GPS in it just for fun Smile
Thanks for the cache

This christmas tree has been in Mrs Shifter's family for a while.
It is now about 40 years old, and Mrs Shifter remembers it when she was a young girl.
The decorations are predominately the original ones and some have a certain place on the tree every year. Some decorations have been chosen by Little Miss Shifter in the last couple of years also.

This tree belongs to my partner - she bought it when she was living by herself, but has seen better days.
It wasn't decorated particularly well this year as it kept falling over.

Since I was a small child, each of us kids received a Christmas Tree decoration in our stocking each year - I have built up quite a collection - mot of the decorations are handmade and quite wide ranging.

Before I left Perth and moved to Canberra, Mum covered in Christmas paper and lacquered a hat box for me to keep everything in.

We have had this tree for as long as I can remember. Each year we drag it out from the storeroom and the kids still get a buzz out of decorating it. As well as the normal tinsel and balls there are anumber of decorations made by the kids from old CDS etc.

Merry Xmas to all and a Happy New Caching Year

There is a tree lurking beneath all those decorations, it is a living Norfolk Island Pine in a pot which my Mum gave us a few years ago.The decorations are cheap stuff from a discount store. It will probably take 'till next christmas to pay off the credit card after buying all those presents, oh well it's only once a year (thank god). Thanks for the cache Sonic and Merry Christmas to all.

We have had this tree for a couple of years now, bought it from Kmart. It always looks good when dressed with tinsle and lights. We like to buy new tinsle for the tree each year and use last years outside.

Happy Christmas.

Dan decorated the tree this year. We have had this tree for a number of years and the decorations have been bought at various stores over the past 10 years, and also made by Daniel at School over the past five years. Thanks for the cache.

Coordinates are not my home but within a few hundred meters. I am working over Christmas but as our 3yearold grandson is coming up from Brisbane on Boxing Day we decided to put up the Tree and Decorations. With just the two of us home for Christmas this year we decided that we were still goning to do Christmas. The tree is 10 years old and most of the decorations are only a few years old. This is only the first Christmas with the tree that our Beloved Smokey( 14year old cat) is not with us to play knock the decorations off of the tree. Merry Christmas to everyone and a very safe one. Some of us work so that you can be safe and protected and if you do have an incident there is help to hand.
