Description
BENDIGO CHRISTMAS LIGHTS TOUR
The above coordinates are false, however they could be a good starting point.
A cache based on the Wyndham Lights of Werribee by maccamob (GCHB4Y), to whom we express our appreciation and thank for the idea and inspiration. As with Wyndham Lights, this is a cache for the young and the young at heart
At this time of the year there is a proliferation of lights across the Bendigo area which generates considerable community interest, along with an accompanying stream of vehicles travelling between the viewing vantage points.
This cache will only be available between 15th December 2009 and 4th January 2010 and is best undertaken between the hours of 21:00 (9:00pm) and 23:00 (11:00pm).
A Street Directory or map of the Bendigo area will help in completion of the task ahead. You will also need to bring the questions below, a writing implement and perhaps a torch. Depending on how long you spend at the vantage points the task should be completed within two hours. If the weather is inclement some of the lights may not be visible.
As you visit each waypoint you might like to consider the activity required by Crissy Lights and Christmas Light Cache .
WARNING: As the vantage points are very popular, there is significant vehicle traffic – please take care and be patient. If you decide to take a closer look at the lights at any vantage point (recommended) then please remember to lock your car and supervise younger children.

What a very enjoyable way to search for a geocache.
We set off this evening on dusk from the high numbers as 10, 11 & 12 were all very close to our caching base and progressed down the scale with several diversions to unlisted displays we came across on our journey.
It would be very hard to judge the best display as several of the ones we found were very spectacular indeed with no amount of expense or effort spared in their construction and implementation.
A most delightful experience to compliment the festive season.
Thank you Peter and Helen for planning and providing us with this challenge.
From Romax.
