Description

A movable cache placed for the GCA "Moving Cache Race" game.

A moving "cacher"

Cache Me If You Can is C&C's first GCA cache and specially created to take part in the GCA "Moving Cache Race" game, however, after the game is concluded, it should be treated like any other GCA movable cache.

The rules of the "Moving Cache Race Game" are published on the Caching Games site, but basically if you find the cache, the idea is to move it to another suitable location of your choosing as soon as possible and provide the new location when logging the find. A picture of where you found the cache would be nice also.

The cache itself is a 200ml sistema, with log book, pen etc. The cache is equipped with a strong magnet in order to provide an alternative fixing method.

We don't have any specific goals or hiding requirements for this movable cache. Please just keep it in Australia, and don't take it anywhere too remote from major populaton centres.

Thought I might beat the rain, but no such luck, got very wet. To make things worse no luck finding the cache either. I am pretty sure I had the right spot but nothing to be found.
Mind you if "Missing the obvious" was an Olympic event I would be the Champion at it, so likely I missed it altogether.

Co-ordinates maybe a little out because of the trees, however all will be very clear when you reach GZ
Whilst there have a look at the historical feature a horse watering trough when this was the main road.

An early morning trip to Mt Vesuvius but no Moving Cache. I'm not sure where it's gone. There seemed to be a few newcommers logging the GC cache here so perhaps one of them took it and hasn't yet worked out what to do? Or maybe someone has it along the highway and just hasn't logged yet.

Since it was so easy to find right next to another cache, I figured right IN another cache would be even better! Grand National can be found at http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=gc1vfgg
And surprisingly this turned out to be a good spot to use the magnets!

Co-ords may be a little bit off???!!! It's showing as the middle of a 6 lane highway! I'm not going to search there! Oh, ok, I guess if I read the clue I might be able to find these and move them somewhere. Unless someone else beats me to it

... and on the move again. I've placed it in a location which will be very familiar to some, and an opportunity for a few smileys if you've never been here before. It's VERY close to c@w's GCA cache, and also right near a short offset GC hide. Convenient for the inner-west teams, and only a short distance across the WG Bridge for those over the other side. Go and get it!

Talk about a fast moving cache. Cache Me If You Can indeed. Well, it's off again after a quick pickup (thanks to the clue), slightly more west to a location that in recent days has seen a plethora of caches hidden n, under, up and around it.
New co-ords to follow soon.

Re-hidden within a few minutes of finding it. It's not a long-distance move, but it will still give you some "points" for the game, and also gives solomonfamily a chance to grab it again in case they really want to make the trip to Shepparton this weekend. The location will be very easy to find - it's where "Surge Upwards" started the game. Go and get it!

Found by Bob at 1915

I noticed this one before I left for work this morning, but I wasn't sure of the rules pertaining to the game and I didn't know whether it was ok for non-players to pick up these caches. After checking up on this during the day at work, it was just a 200m diversion on my way home to pop into this familiar park and retrieve it. Not that it matters now, but it was lucky there was a good hint, as I felt the co-ords were about 20m off - but, after a quick check, I headed for the nearest thing that matched and there it was. I'll probably replace it tomorrow, but I know a team that's heading a long way north shortly and I might check with them first.

Thanks Coffee&Cache

The initial position is in an area of natural bush in a great little park quite close to C&C's home.

It should not present any difficulty to the finder, and is hopefully, just out of sight of most muggles visiting the area. Watch out for snakes! You will find two GC caches quite close by as well.

There is a gate (South side), it just isn't very obvious.
