Description
J & J's third geocache hide. A straightforward, easy multicache. Gather some numbers at the posted coordinates, substitute some letters for numbers, a little math, find the cache. Too easy.
The posted coordinates are for a cairn marking the site of the South Hummocks Methodist church. Sadly, not a trace of the church remains, but some of the original stones were saved, and are on display at this memorial. The dates, months and years listed on these stones are used to reveal the coordinates of the actual cache.
From the centre brass plaque, the earlier year = ABCD, the later year = EFGH.
From the left-most stone, the month = I, the date = JK, the year = LMNO.
From the centre stone, the year = PQRS.
From the right-most stone, the date = TU, the month = V, the year = WXYZ.

Once the final coordinates have been reached, you will be hunting for a one litre black box. It is in a very obvious spot so shouldn't prove too hard to locate.

I thought this cache was familiar when I started at WP1, then even more-so as I was approaching on the track to GZ. As it happens it was more like a revisit for me here only the first time I was here it wasn't a GCA cache 
Noticed that the sanctuary sign has gone from the area around GZ but everything else was as I remember it.
Cache is in good condition still

While doing the nearby Postman Pat's Mail Run trail we decided to divert to try for this one. The coords were easy to get and we headed off up a very rarely used track running narrowly between two farm fences. About 300 metres up the track we came across a flock of sheep spread over the track.
On seeing our approach they quick marched up the hill
We stayed well back so as not to tire them as we still had another 700 metres to our GZ 
With another 300 metres to go we decided that maybe we should stop our accent to give the sheep a break when we noticed them all heading across the paddock to our right after disappearing into some nearby trees up ahead. We slowly made our way up a little further only to see where the fence was laying on the ground which the sheep were able to walk across easily. Looks like they knew where they were going.
We continued to the end of the track and made a quick find in a nice shady grove.
We are often amazed at how well some of these GCA caches continue undisturbed and in good condition for years on end. This one was no exception.

Found It!
I did part one of this cache years ago but took one look at the track to GZ (in the wet) and thought "I need a 4WD for this!". Today I was on my way home from Adelaide in Dad's Hilux and decided to make a little detour. Having now seen the track in the dry, I think my car probably would have made it to GZ in the right weather conditions. Anyway, nice to finally find this cache after starting it so long ago! A great little spot for a cache and a great view!

While planning our trip to the Yorke Peninsula we noticed this cache. It had not been found for a considerable time and was a GA multi so we decided to add it to our list of caches to attempt.
As we headed to Point Turton we detoured to look for this cache. We enjoyed our trip to WP1 passing a number of large poultry farms and a variety of crops. We collected the data for determining GZ, another interesting piece of local history only to find we were still some distance from GZ. We were glad it was dry as, from past experience, we know these unsealed roads are treacherous when wet. When we were just over 400m from GZ we decided to park our 2wd Focus and walk the remaining distance. It was an enjoyable short walk uphill. The muggle sheep watched us with suspicion as we headed into the light scrub where we found a well hidden cache. The views across the gully and over the plain out to the sea where magnificent. After signing the log we took photos before heading back to the car. on the way back 3 torquoise parrots flew across our path.
The cache and contents were in excellent condition. Thanks for a really great caching experience J_&_J it is a pity more geocachers do not visit this site.

We were aware of this when it was a GC cache but had never got here. It sure why it is now on GA only, but we're happy to follow the hints. Lovely spot. TFTC

After a week 4WDing the Lincoln National Park and surrounds it was time to head home. Today was the trip from Whyalla back to Adelaide which took 11 hours but we did make 37 finds.

Now I cheated a bit here,I was the last one to log in before J&J put this out as a CGA cache so I returned to the area and logged in today, I just did not collect the co-ords so I will have to go back another time
