No response to maintenance requests so time to go....

Unfortunately, this cache looks like maintenance maybe required.

To ensure future finders have an enjoyable experience in both finding the cache and visiting the area, a check on this cache is recommended.

If the cache still seems to require maintenance within 28 days, Geocaching Australia will archive the cache to stop it appearing on cachers lists / PQ's.

Decided to have a look in this area today, ended up finding 3 out of 5!

that path is pretty overgrown, found a few likely spots near the junction, but no luck finding the cache.

On my way home from clearing out a bit more of my GC 16km radius when I remembered a handful of GCA caches in this vicinity. This was my fourth stop and unfortunately I came up empty handed like the two cachers before me. Spent at least 15 minutes looking around some obvious trees and clearing away a few years of natural leaf litter.

02-Jan-16
Came across country from Day street and found the track junction, we checked all the obvious spots but couldn't find the cache.

The trail here is definitely getting overgrown but I enjoyed the challenge. Had a look around but the ever growing heat really stifled any real desire to have a proper look around and I gave up pretty quickly. Thanks.

Five months since the last find. Cache is OK, but not where the hint suggests - but easy to find. Great path, although fairly overgrown. SL TNLN TFTC

Decided it was time to head down and get this little GCA cluster that isn't that far from home. First time I have explored this park, didn't realise all these little tracks were here. The track in was rather overgrown, but the cache was quickly located though the hint is wrong these days as it certainly wasn't up the tree. Thanks Normanhurst Scouts.

Out walking with some Scout leaders on a training course at the nearby Pennant Hills Scout Camp. This was our last cache for the night, as part of a bushwalking training exercise, with intro to caching thrown in at no extra charge.
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache Normo Scouts! I've one more of the series to find, guess it will wait for the next time.
best wishes,
Wal

The archers were firing away and I realised I had to walk along behind their range to find this one. It was a brisk walk.

Strange little track leads to the cache. In fact this whole park is full of strange meandering and intersecting paths. The cache had obviously been found by someone because it had been camoed but the lid was left underneath the container. Fortunately the hot weather meant it wasn't wet, and the log book was ok, even though it was out of its bag.

I fixed it all up before moving on. Thanks scouts.

Geokid7 and I decided to find the "right 3" of the Normanhurst 5 after his cricket game at Pennant Hills Oval 4. The track is very overgrown (leading to complaints from the young'un about the prickly branches) but once at GZ this was a quick find. TFTC!

A nice quick find in the obvious spot. Found while my son warmed up for soccer nearby.

TNLNSL. TFTC.

15-Mar-11
Found this nice cache after a short walk with pjmpjm who was the designated driver for the afternoon. Very nice area, found without trouble, in great condition. Signed log, took nothing left Yowie and signature Pathtag.
Thanks for a nice cache.

Today I set out to find the five Normanhurst Scouts GCA caches in Pennant Hills Park.

This was my second find of the five; down an overgrown track (kept catching the handlebars of the geosteed) but an easy find in a nice spot. TFTC!

04-Feb-11
Another quick find after running though the track even if it was overgrown. Not one snake. 4 Caches, 1 Trig all in 29m50s from car to last cache. Once a gz spotted this in no time. TFTC.

I know Pennant Hills Park pretty well from other caches and found this one without any difficulties only about 200 metres from the old trig. The narrow side trail (note archery warning sign) is very overgrown but quite evident and easy to follow.

The published coordinates are about 7-8 metres out, but the clue is so good that this doesn't matter at all. You'll know the spot when you see it.

Container and contents were fine. TNLNSL.

A nice walk on a sunny spring day and another successful GCA cache -- what could be better!

Thanks to the Normanhurst Scouts and NorthOfTheSouth for this one.

Dropped by to knock a few of these. They kept coming up on our close to home not found. Not much chance of bush bashing straight line to this, found the track and the hint made it obvious.

Could see the remnants of the old cache on the ground, great to see that these have been revived.

24-Apr-10
While waiting for a geokid's netball game we went for a walk and found this one. A GCA cache which is the second closest to home and has been languishing for some time. We were going to get around to doing this circuit but have never bothered as we thought they were going to be archived. Seems like NorthoftheSouth has spruced this one up with a new log book and it may survive in a National Park. Watch for the next bushfire though. Cache was in plain sight so we hid it a little better.

14-Mar-10
Replaced the log book in snap lock bag... didn't realise how bad the container was though, will replace this next time I'm passing.
(Note: this series of GCA caches [Plane Crash Black Bx, Azaria & Leaders Loot] are not mine but I'll do some maintenance as I regularly run through here and the original owner doesn't seem to be maintaining them).

10-Mar-10
Found with blossom* on a very enjoyable walk after work - forgot to log at the time though!

10-Mar-10
We found this in a lovely after-work trip to the park today. Much better than working!! We couldn't sign the log as it was sodden and mouldy but hopefully the container can be replaced and a new log book provided soon.

06-Mar-10
2nd find after locating the trig station nearby.
The container was full of water and the log unusable.
It is recommended that the lot be replaced or archived.

07-Feb-10
Great place for this series of caches, though this one was completely water logged. TFTC! TNLN (couldn't sign the log book, too wet)

Great spot for a cache. thanks

21-Feb-09
I was in the park on the other side of the "Danger Archery" signs and decided to duck around for his cache. Unfortunately, the cache was open and the contents quite damp.
