Description

Dr Richard Kimble is still on the run!

Internal memo dated 15/11/07:

In spite of a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in the area, the fugitive Dr Richard KIMBLE is still on the loose. In spite of this glaring ineptitude and all round ham-fistedness US Marshall Sam GERARD (Pictured below) has been given one more opportunity to redeem himself before the director hands him over to GERARD’s twin brother in the MIB for “re-education”. However GERARD is no longer running the investigation, he is now in charge of media relations, subject to the director’s approval.

Marshall Sam GERARD                                                                                                 His Brother (Known only as "K")

The director has therefore authorised the following Media Release for general dissemination to all outlets, Internet, Print, Radio and Television.

Media Release:

The US Marshall Service requests that all members of the public Be on the Lookout for a male person required for interview.

The male is identified as Dr. Richard KIMBLE, aged 35, DOB 15/11/72.

KIMBLE’s last known location was at an undisclosed address in the Kingston area. Since fleeing that area he has successfully avoided capture. As such the director has authorised the establishment of a “flying squad” task force that will patrol the city. At reported sighting a team of marshalls will rapidly enter the target area utilising “Shock and Awe” tactics in an attempt to stun the fugitive.

Description:
Male; approx 173cm tall; medium build; with blond hair, blue eyes and clean shaven. This description is believed to be unreliable due to an item in KIMBLE’s possession.
The Chameleonic Device allows the user to change not only their appearance, but their size, shape and chemical composition. This item was under the control of the Torchwood Institute and enquiries are continuing in regards to how KIMBLE came to possess the artefact. Torchwood personnel advise that there is a fault in the device they have been unable to repair; it is believed that KIMBLE may be locked in the physical form of a small grey box.

A recentish photo (No longer entirely accurate)

KIMBLE has now been on the run for quite a while and some facts have come to light in relation to his methods which may be helpful to the public:

  1. KIMBLE is most comfortable in a city or suburban setting, he has never been found in a rural locale;
  2. Once sighted KIMBLE will recognise the spotter and won’t approach them. However advice from Torchwood is that the chameleonic device does affect the user's short term memory, it is believed that KIMBLES’ memory resets after every third meeting. Therefore as long as he has been approached by two others he can be re-found.
  3. Once located KIMBLE shares a secret with his finder. It is imperative that this secret not be shared with any person who has not had dealings with KIMBLE. The information may cause the uninitiated a spontaneous cranial detonation; this also is a side effect of the Chameleonic Device.
  4. KIMBLE seems to be able to easily find people to assist him, must be his magnetic personality.
  5. ** new mission, now the fugitive has reached the mainland he has sent me a derisive text the upshot being he intends touring the continent in an anticlockwise manner challenging us to capture him. To date he has been sighted in South Australia and Victoria.**

Had a good look today as cache belongs to a local cacher back home, but I fear The Fugitive has disappeared for good.

I think Kimble has given everybody the slip!
My guess is that he has changed his name, altered his appearance with the help of plastic surgery and jumped a ship to some far-off country that doesn’t have an extradition policy with Australia – never to be seen again!

Despite the elapsed time since the last log this multi-recommended movable lured us to detour to his last known sighting in transit to Mt. Gambier but alas The Fugitive proved just as elusive as his namesake.
I think I found where he was hidden and will contact the last finder to confirm but I am a bit worried as to his welfare.

The trail ran cold through the town, so headed off to another town hoping to find a trace of him. Driving through the main street we caught a sight of him through the trees but a truck then blocked our view and he was gone........This is the last confirmed sighting of Kimble. (UTM 54 H 0590217 5821863)

Located Kimble near the smelter but he saw us and ran. Managed to follow him through the city but lost sight of him momentarily. The spy kids are on his trail.....

Please study the plans at this location carefully to discover where he planted the device.

Not knowing whether we should deport Kimble to the mainland we left it till the last moment and then...then it was too late. Before we knew it he had stowed away amongst our belongings - we had previously gagged him to keep him quiet and bound him tightly so he couldn't get free. We thought Perth would be nice but alas he somehow escaped our custody during our stopover in Adelaide. We were off sightseeing and when we returned he had gone. It was probably a false report but he was apparently sighted near Glenelg. Very Happy

We have grabbed Kimble - we are now awaiting orders and transportation arrangements.

Found him! But....don't know what happened but he made me put him back where he was found. (That sound obviously overtook the mental abilities to see what had to be done). Okay, the truth. Didn't notice that it was a moveable, phone showed no logs from previous cachers, couldn't find a log inside so replaced him where he was.
Aarrgh! Embarassed

Mr. Green Following a conversation at the recent event at Fern Tree, thoughts were that this cache may have disappeared or may have been muggled. Played golf at New Norfolk today and checked in on it. Still there waiting to be found again - please don't leave me there much longer - it gets cold and a little damp at times; Cheers the Fugitive. Further cheers from OldSaint.

As we were making our final approach to the Risdon Gaol to hand over this felon who had been on the run for way too long he absconded [yet again] and ran off into the nearby Risdon Brook Park. As he ran he was yelling, "I need a drink of WATER" [HINT]. Very strange indeed!! How close did we get to having him securely locked up for good!

10-Jul-10
Heading south so decided to detour via Long Hill forestry and see if we could catch a glimpse of this illusive fugitive we have always seemed to just miss before. Found him cold and lonely hiding in a wrecked car. He gave little resistance, it was early and he was probably still half asleep. He just gave a squeal when we nabbed him. Bit disappointing really we had come armed with all sorts of paraphenalia to help us get him. Anyway, he's safely in the car and on the way to Risdon right now. Mind you if he becomes a nuisance we might just leave him securely tied up somewhere for someone else.

Kimble and co have been under interrogation. Unfortunately inept agents allowed Kimble and Co. to seize control of the vehicle while being transported to neutral interview facilities and Kimble quickly escaped down forestry tracks going past Long Hills. Lookout guards on the hill noticed the escape and quickly blocked the road forcing the fugitives off the road and down a small embankment. Guards having a Long View were able to snap off a few images of Kimble and Co. staggering up the slope awap from the crashed car with the "booty". What have the villains "bumped off" this time?

Agents have found the fugitive loitering and obviously needing treatment, more infromtation becoming available after intense interogation.

He appeared from nowhere, staggering in a debilitated state, incoherent in speech, an agitated man, a fugitive from society.Refuge was given. Time is a healer. As his body mended and his anxiety diminished a story emerged of a wrongful arrest for the murder of his wife, his escape from custody and his constant searching for the truth. He had become a man of stealth and deception. He has in his possession a document that a Fred Johson is a strong suspect for his wife's murder. He believes that the brother of F.Johnston, a recently resigned police commissioner may be involved in the conspiracy. The brother goes by the aliases of Hungry Jack, Big Mac or Thick Shake.
A journey to a place of rest has given Richard Kimble time for reflection.

After a lengthy period of time in which the status of the Fugitive was unknown-- possibly apprehended by police, abducted by aliens or abducted by alien police-- Kimble has once again reappeared. We believe he has had himself cloned in order to continue his existence. This Kimble is for all intents and purposes identical to the original Kimble and must be hunted down as soon as possible before he escapes again. Agent Hookline and her partner have traced his location to a corner of downtown Burnie...

12-Nov-09
Just received word that kimble has been sighted in the northwest. Agents are trying to flush him out now.

24-Oct-09
Unfortunately KIMBLE has managed to escape. There has been no new intel on him in recent months and as such this matter is going into the Cold Case filing cabinet for now. Maybe in the future more information will come to light and the matter will be reactivated.

We successfully handed Mr Kimble on to the local authorities after checking credentials. However somehow the "professionals" let him slip right through their fingers.

Well after the Hobart event we decided to try and track down this villain,
He couldn't be located in the dark so we pitched the tent close by to make sure he couldn't make his escape till morning,
Was finally located in the wee hours on the 26th by the junior member of the search party who couldn't sleep,
While the older member caught up on some beauty sleep, (not working)
He was taken captive after a short struggle that almost found the junior member falling into a river,
Supposedly (as the story was told)it was from the fright of the HUGE (probably tiny) black spider that was hiding behind the Fugitive and not the Fugitive himself who would I am sure have put up some sort of struggle,
Said fugitive was held captive for quite some time (forgotten about) as we tried to navigate our way around the city,
Again proving to be a slippery customer he has made his escape further north and was last seen loitering about THE STABLES but as he has kept 3 STEPS UP on us for most of the day we were unable to locate him again,

He is loose somewhere in the Northern Suburbs.

Lunchtime, what'll I do ?? I know, let's go capture a fugitive Smile
Easily found him hidden away, snuck up on him but didn't expect the reaction I got. Luckily it's overcast and there weren't too many people around today. Managed to subdue him but didn't have a pen to tattoo my capture with Sad
Before reading this had a couple of ideas as to where to incarcerate him but given his reaction on approach he escaped relocation. I'll have to rethink and may have to try and apprehend him again..

As per urch1949's log - this one has the potential of alerting the nearby muggles & was a big challenge to find (& then retrieve) in such a public area. Lots of fun though, and certainly caused some interest & discussion in our party over lunch. Sorry for not moving this one. TNLN - except some great memories. TFTC.

Considerable sleuthing was required to sneak up on the 'Master Builder' and he gave us some cause for alarm when we disturbed him. We then had to outwait nearby muggles for quite some time before he could safely return home. Sadly we were unaware that this was a moveable cache, so he remains in the construction game.
Thanks very much for the thrill of this find, Cheesy Pigs, and also for the enjoyable night's event to follow! Big Grin
