Description
A nice fishing spot on the Don River with a gret view to boot . . .
This spot forms part of a popular walking circuit in the Don River Reserve. Cache placed when the tide was nearly full, so its a very pretty sight . .
Look for trains especially the steam variety on weekends, grab a rod and throw in a line - even if you don't catch anything its a serene spot . . .
Why not make a day of it - theres a few more caches in the area including: The Fat Controller, Don Steamers, Sawdust #2, Is Don Is Good and Oh PEN Source . .
A small container with only a few swaps. Enjoy.

Easy find on my sunday cycling caching tour, though got a strange look riding a road bike out of the bush.

It was awesome to get back down that way. I have wandered there many times before. Thanks for the afternoon entertainment!

For one of us, the site brought back memories of doing duty whilst students were on breaks. Lovely spot when you are not working.

Don River at high tide, setting sun, very beautiful. Thanks for a trip down memory lane. The area was my bush paradise back in the 50's.
tnln. Thanks. A cosy hide

Tide was full in, so I made sure I didn't get my feet wet. Easy find once I found the right tree.

An absolutely fabulous reserve for cycling, fishing or trainspotting.
I left the bike at the top of the hill and scrambled down to fish for the cache.
After a quick find I headed back to the bike and was just in time to watch the Sunday train wobble past :)

Several trips up and down this track to find the nearby caches. Some proper foreplanning is what was needed, I think I left it at home !

Parked over the other side of Don College and went bush - eventually found the bitumen path and headed for the cache.
Excellent hide - I was having 3rd thoughts about its hidey hole but then found it.
TNLN, thanks rippunzel

My last find of this trip to Tassy and to a typically pretty spot.
The coords were a bit dodgy in the forest but once I neared the water's edge the hiding spot seemed obvious.
Thankyou. TNLN

A lovely start to the day a nice stroll in the early morning through the bush with lots of muggles and dogs to say hello to.
The bush threw off the GPSr for a bit but once we hit the beach it narrowed down and immediately pointed the way. Mrs CP wrote up the log while piglet threw rocks at the crabs to watch them scatter.
Thanks Rippunzel great cache.

Thanks Rippunzel.

Nice little spot Rippunzel. I found this one after having some trouble with Is Don Is Good which I will have to look a little more carefully for tomorrow, i.e. a proper look. I was enjoying my lunchtime break from work and had just replaced the log minutes before the cache site was swamped with muddled muggles from the local college. It was time to give up the warm sunlit Autumn day for the cool dark classroom when one of the muddles called out "Snake Sir right near your foot sir". Yeahhh sure thing, the lad is taking a lend of me, but no he was right and let's just say I wont have to do any more sprint training this week.
A great lunch break...the cache was delightful, the muddles delighted and the reptile alighted.

With rebulus and gspblu we were able to locate and log this cache as part of our FEB '08 NUMBERS RUN.
Unfortunately we didn't have time to go fishing today but will remember the spot for next time we are up here.
Thanks rippunzel for being one of the 24 cache owners that made our trip a success.

The seed for this "FEB 08 NUMBERS RUN" germinated during our South Coast Chaos walk and now we have done it.
Finished work as early as possible, not early enough, on Friday and set of for Somerset. Managed about two hours sleep/rest and started 00:00 and finished at 23:54 today.
We had relaxed breaks for breakfast, lunch and dinner and achieved our goal with only nine DNFs, no injuries and were still smiling at the end.

Very nicely placed for a stroll with enough time for lunch - a fine spot to be shown and thanks for the good hint too! Thanks for a pleasant day out with dogs and kids - no snakes on our visit but the logseat has that snake and muggle attracting air. Some CITO was needed. We found this one after a miss at a nearby Robtas cache - must have forgot to log all our caches that day.

FTF Yippee!
I ran past this place only 30 mins earlier in preparation for next weeks Burnie Ten!
Nice spot, I caught it at lowish tide - would be more picturesque at high.
Coordinates spot on.
