Description
Stuck in transit?
Singapore seems a common stopover for travellers from Australlia to other parts of the world. Unluckily time doesn't always allow us to get out and explore, go caching, or your visa may not let you outside.
If you are in Terminal 2 and waiting there is at least now one cache you can get. Find a view of Gate F30 and email me the coordinates displayed on the outside for a succesful log. One possible vantage is the smoking room nearby, but you should be able to spot it from next door if you don't want to breathe the fumes.
After getting the cache and if you still have time to kill, one of the bars there had some great blues music when I visited. Changi has to be one of the best airports I have visited in terms of facilities.

Thanks heaps Richary.
What a great start and this morning our Geocaching tour on foot for about 5 hours resulted in 8 finds including 2 EarthCaches and 4 DNF's with one being given a NM.
After booking our bags in Nana nel wanted to go back to the Butterfly Garden and so we went to Terminal 3 and passed through security there. She suspected there may have been 2 caches but was proven to be wrong.
Then time to get the SkyTrain to Terminal 2 and make our way to Gate F30. Now what is this GCA Virtual all about, there is nothing at the gate so a walk around the corner was needed and without going into the smooking roon, everything revieled itself to us.
Wow what a special cache.
With our departure looming for 11.40 PM on the 14th July, our 30 hour stopover is reaching an end.
Information will be sent to the CO.
I accidentally launched GA Cacher, and curiosity got the better of me - I wanted to see the closest GCA cache.
As it turns out, it was not 2000km away... less than 10km...what?
With my phones battery dying quite prematurely (sigh new phone time :\) I made a mental note of the details.. so when I was leaving, I quickly detoured and looked out the window, scanning the window for anything obvious.
Well.. that is obvious indeed. I wrote the Co-ords down on my hand.. noting the lack of digits! (not just the fact that it's 1 Degree North!).
I remembered the logs said something about smoking... I turned around and realised what that was all about. How could you smoke in a room like that.. anyhow.
Powered phone back on at a charging spot, took photo of my hand.. hopefully the co-ords I got were right
A deep breath, through the doors and out to the outdoor area, a quick photo and back out. Got a couple of strange looks, but caching is good for your health.
CO has confirmed the co-ordinates.
We had been to Singapore a few years ago but hadn't even looked at GCA caches.
TFTC richary.
This was the exact gate where we caught our flight to Cochin- before knowing about geocaching
Next time... Next time...

Been through Changi a few times since I noticed this cache, but either forgot or didn't have to opportunity to get the required data.
Had the chance tonight, when my onward flight to LHR was delayed by 3 hours.
Thanks for the cache.
My plane from Penang arrived at the gate next door and a quick toilet stop revealed that the necessary information is easily seen from the men's toilets.
I am surprised that this one isn't collected more often.

thanks for the quick response Richary and for giving me a distraction while hanging out a changi airport.
A clever idea for a virtual in this location. i sure noticed a lot more co-0ords while taxiing out.
cheers
