Description

Spent a day doing all those miscellaneous things that you usually put aside for caching? Are you proud of yourself - is your family happy to see you? Then have a brag and log a DNF!!!

Snuva has kept her slaves busy lately doing tedious but essential work around her palace. We'd all much rather be geocaching, but what's a princess to do? The build-up of weeds, the dodgy painting, and the build-up of 'stuff' just can't wait wany longer! I'm too embarassed to have my admirers over to visit!

So while waiting for the slaves to finish their tasks, and between dreaming of all the caches she'd like to be able to find or hide, Snuva dreamed up the idea for a non-cache that lets us log a DNF but lets everyone know it wasn't laziness that kept us from caching, but activity we've been putting off for caching. (It might also serve to help explain while a cacher 'drops off the scene' for a while.)

Activites/achievements that qualify you to log a DNF on this non-cache would be things such as gardening, painting, giving birth to new cachers, spring cleaning, visiting your mother, etc. Activites that do no qualify would be planning a new cache (other than just in your mind while gardening, etc), scoping out locations, purchasing swaps, or working on puzzle caches as these are caching related activities.

Please note that 'Found' logs are NOT allowed on this non-cache; the point is that you were NOT caching, so logging it as a find would be inappropriate. Please also note that you should not log this if you log another cache on GCA or GC on that day. I encourage waypoints for your log, as well as photos of your work. If the waypoint is at your house or a relative's house and you don't want to publish your exact coordinates here, round them so there is at list a waypoint in the general area (then you can at least play with your GPSr or mapping software for that!)

I don't expect everyone to like the idea of this non-cache, but it's been in the back of my mind for a while and when mentioning it to another cacher they actually liked the idea - so if it only exists long enough for me to not log it, that's fine with me.

Logs

This geocache listing no longer follows the guidelines required for a Locationless cache. https://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Locationless_cache As such we will archive it and encourage the CO to place a locationless cache that meets the new guidelines.

Not being able to cache owing to Covid - Does that count?

Failing it to move on.

Its covid so no time to hit the road.

Well today was my RDO and a great day to go Caching, However the other half thought our 32nd wedding anniversary shouldn't be spent caching so we, had lunch out and a bit of shopping to boot

Well Covid-19 has a bunch of us sitting around at home un-caching. Although there are a lot of home-based locationless caches that have appeared. I just started looking at them and some older ones today.
I'm assuming visiting my dZ page to collect the usual daily points, the daily new forum post check, and reading found logs on my jigsaw virtual caches does not disqualify me.
So what was I doing that kept me from any other geocaching related activity yesterday? Binge watching the 10 Star Wars movies in chronological order. I only got through 5 yesterday though. 3 more today. I'm getting sick of the saying "I've got a bad feeling about this". It was a pleasant surprise to hear "I've got a really good feeling about this" in Solo. hahaha Clapping

Thanks for nothing Wink

No time today, no cache, no way.
Too much else got in the way
And for my stupidity I have to pay
With broken shoulder I can’t play
I’ll have to try another day

The posted coordinates are at our nearby mystery cache "Slice of Pi/e"

One of those days where life gets in the way of fun.
Having had a lot of work done around the property lately, painting, asbestos removal, new eaves, gutters, down pipes, doors, windows, carpet...
Much of our stuff was stored in a 20' container in the driveway.
All back inside the house now. Time to get some order to things.
Crystal unwrapped and replaced in cabinets, coat hooks screwed to doors, handles replaced on cupboards, boxes and bags unpacked.
On top of all this we have roadside rubbish removal in two weeks so all the unwanted items were listed on giveaway sites on fb or stored ready to go out for the garbos.
It will be good to go caching just to relax a bit.
Thanks for nothing Snuva.

Me: "Ok, time to ride home, catch up on Study and then grab a cache or two!"

Colleague: "uh, andrewbt, we have a bit of a problem, can you help"

Me: "okay.."

*me at 04:00* - Welp, too cold to ride home, tired too. I'll sleep on floor

Wednesday 3/5/2017: 13:30

Me: "Welp I'm gonna go home now.. try catch up on study. Find some caches..."

Working in IT sucks sometimes....

Story of my life really so I'll nominate 03/05/2017. Married with two daughters, I usually have to sneak off when she's at work and the girls are at school. If she gets wind of it she'll say 'you've been out geocaching again' said in exactly the same tone as if she were saying 'you've been out visiting prostitutes again'. Major guilt trip to pursue my simple hobby, so many days 'wasted??' being a good husband and father.. thanks..!!

So we now have 3 finds on a cache people aren't allowed to find? Time for some deleting!

On 14 May 2010 I placed my DNF on this one with the sad red cross. Today I was going to cache but my leg problem has returned and I am flat out driving let alone walking or caching so no caching today. On top of that I have landed grand children minding but they both think they are loking after me as they are 12 and 10. Clan MinotaurVery HappyBrick Wall

Had plans to head out for a day of caching but seeing that after the last 3 weekend had been quite wet and today the sky was blue with not many clouds around, It was the day to get the long grass cut down, and to get my shed full of wood. Maybe tomorrow I'll go and get them caches.

Hi Snuva
Had fully intended to go find "Wellington Peaks C" by DDTs today but a phone call from the Royal Hobart Hospital meant that had to be put off in order to retrieve my Aunt who had been a patient in the Cardio Ward for the last week and bring her back to Huonville.
Five hours after getting there, we finally left the place; me feeling totally frustrated with the whole procedure.
I'd have sooner been walking the tracks for five hours instead of pacing the floors of the Royal!!!!
This is my second log for this cache, the last made as a DNF on the 1st Dec 2009 when my conscience (I have got one sometimes) got the better of me and I mowed my lawns and tidied my pad.
So, in my "frustrated" state I'm doing it again, this cache I mean; but will claim a find instead of a DNF! A find that isn't a find could still be a find not found! That's what I got today!!
Hope this makes sense and thanks for the cache
Cheers OldSaint.

WOrked all day... no time to find anything, let alone this cache!

28-Jul-12
It was all planned-my 1500 milestone-just had to get 2 more so it was going to be GC3M4EX and GC3M4DT. Was taking geohusband with me to do the climbing I had been warned about. So up early, shoes on, mozzie spray ready as I had been warned about them also when he says can't go. 'I have got golf'-he was putting that silly game where they chase a white ball around a paddock ahead of caching. Needless to say some words were said but there was definitely no caching that day. My 1500 will have to wait.

So i've just had several mini-brain farts of "...umm, why havent i found anything?"

I dont think i've got the time.

I was planning to do a multi yesterday, but, i had to run off to rovers/scouts early.

I was going to checkup on one cache of mine, but it got dark. (Daylight savings? Dont gooo!!)

I was going to find a drive-by trig on the weekend, but i missed the turnoff. And my car-gps was yelling at me.

I was going to attempt (again, most likely my 8th attempt?) to find my nearest unfound (which is, oh, i dunno not even a km away!) but i couldnt find my gps (note to self: next time, check other bag)

I was going to attempt a really easy cache, that was near a place where i was stuck at on the weekend with scouts..but free time? scouts? Are you kidding me?

I was going to find a driveby that was near my friend's house (on the side of town i never frequent!) but...it suddenly appeared to be 1am at night. I believe a guy was murdered a couple of streets away. And some chick allegedly got abducted a couple of streets away too. (Ah, northern canberra..)

Yep. I just dont have the time.

05-Nov-10
Decided that I just needed a couple of more caches today and then the GLW wanted to go shopping and have lunch together. So no caching but earning good brownie points.

18-Oct-10
My muggle friends rung me up (just as i was ABOUT to go caching, arrgh!) to go on a spontaneous picnic, as the weather's pretty and such.

The picnic happened to be, oh, where one of my own caches was located. Brick Wall

i was going to run away and do some maintanance (in my defence, it was raining before, and several people said there were snakes nearby, and i wanted to check it out!) but i didnt. Smile

11-Sep-10
I spent the morning helping to clean the house and the afternoon helping to entertain my wife's friends!

It was the first day I hadn't gone caching in a long while. My 'streak' of nearly two months was finished . . .

Glad to have the opportunity to get some credit here . . .

Even if it's with a DNF!

14-May-10
I thought I had my day set for geocaching. Awoke this morning to the question of what my plans were and then geocaching was the last thing I had time for. Instead of driving up to Goomeri to find a couple to finish off this area I now had the lawn to mow, the car to wash and the other half wanted the car for four hours or so from 10am. So No caching for another 7 days as it is back to work ( tomorrow) I go.

20-Mar-10
Sigh. Work on a Saturday. And a beautiful Saturday at that. Currently can only dream of getting those FTF's out in Namadgi. Damn Government regulation and auditing of the pharmaceutical industry.

08-Mar-10
Well after having a Moter bike accedent i have not been able to do very much caching at all i think that inthe 4 weeks since the accedent i have managed to find 2 caches & the only reason found them was because someone else draged my there on cruches & all. The only good part was that they were Drive By's so not much walking/hobbling.
But this weekend (A Thee day weekend & All) It is the GLW & a neice's Birthday & with my leg still hurting im still not walking very far.
So no caching for my.
Geez i hate Dumb Car drivers.

04-Jan-10
The great movable race was on and I couldn't get out to do my bit. All I could do was track my cache on my laptop from my hospital bed and grumble about it, when I ended up with fluid on the lungs over Christmas.

01-Dec-09
My day starts at 1000hrs and was off to get a FTF but looked at the lawns, the batchelor pad and other household chores that had been put off in order to enjoy the sport of caching but Mr Conscience got the the better of the old trooper and out came the lawn mower, which has given me an idea for another locationless cache. Anyway, the FTF is still there..... So no find for moi, just a tired body and neat looking lawns both at my place and next door. Soooo sad, tooo bad!!!! TFTDNF OldSaint.

Oh heck the sewerage doesn't work the pipe's all full of tree roots and mud because some dill foregot to glue the pipes together properly when they were laid. So now another wasted weekend digging digging.Pick and shovel with the crowbar thrown in just for the exercise.baby& the Mrs could be out doing better things with time then this but whats gotta be done has to be done. And such a great winter weekend to be out trying to not find DNF's.
Only one thumb because we hate digging digging.

27-Feb-09
After nearly two months without a find it was about time I got around to finding this cache. But guess what I couldn't even find this one. Wink

16-Jan-09
Well it's about time I make my mark on this cache, no time to cache today between work and shopping its a DNF or is it a smiley because I DNF'd the DNF

06-Sep-08
defanaly can log this cache becouse I was wishing that I was geocaching and not here at the dentasts having my tooth ripped out TFTC

24-Aug-08
Definately no time for caching. 1 assingment, 48 hours and about 20 odd cups of coffee later and I realised the weekend had disappeared and all I had to show for it was a 30 page surveying assignment...

Hah, this one is such an easy DNF Big Grin

Every Saturday.....this year from April 12th to August 30

Here's the coordinates of DNF and times for July 5th

9:00am DNF - S 43°52.331 E147°19.347
10:00am DNF - S 42°49.830 E147°15.151
10:30am DNF - S 42°54.425 E147°19.703

and even sometimes S 42°58.946 E147°17.610

Sad

First three DNF's should be easy to work out, but number 4 is a little bit trickier...... Big Grin

Ah.. at last an opportunity (and the time, sort of) to log my 50th unique DNF!! Non-woohoo!! This calls for a non-celebration!

Given that today was Mother's Day, I thought it best to get my priorities straight. I managed to fight the urge to suggest that we grab any of the 6 or so caches that I hadn't already found on the way to the popular national park where we had BBQ lunch, some 70km away from home.

As it happens, there aren't any caches in the aforementioned national park - or at least there aren't yet! I'm quite surprised that it remains cacheless, but at least that helped me to abstain from caching today! I even managed to resist the urge to place an opportunistic hide while we were there.

Thanks for the non-cache!! Let's party like it's not 1999!!

09-Apr-08
SG-3's log strikes a chord! I realised on Sunday that I hadn't turned on my GPSr at all last week. I would've been interested to see whether it would've managed daylight savings correctly this year. I still haven't done any caching since then, but I have used it to check sunset times to help plan a non-caching event that I'm organising for later in the year.

Anyway, I'm not logging this one as a DNF at the moment because I've been planning to do this one as my 50th unique DNF for ages. I know I'm close, but I haven't even had time lately to check my current stats! D'oh! Not even enough time for a DNF!

08-Apr-08
OK, I've been in denial long enough! The 'caching just aint happening at the moment!

You know it has been a while when you go to turn on your GPS, that you "just" put freshly charged batteries in, and it is as dead as a dodo! And the reason I went to turn it on wasn't to seek a cache even! (OK, so I turned it on cos there's some wierd stuff going on in my brain, but thats another story...) So thank you Snuva for this liberating opportunity: "I am SG-3, and I haven't gone caching!"

Question: Can you log a DNF more than once on this one?

Cheers everyone!

27-Mar-08
I spent every day from 13 March 08 to 26 March 08 preparing our old caravan for sale, and preparing our new caravan for our first trip away, which was from 27 March to 30 March. The only finds I could log in that time were for Peter Pan (Liverpool) and Peter Pan (London), and the actual caching for these was done by our Liverpool and London team members, so I didn't get to do any caching until 28 March.

Even worse than that, originally SWMBO had talked of going to Lane Pool Reserve near Dwellingup for our trip, which would have suited me fine. It's only 90 CroKs from home, with a possible FTF in close proximity and 13 caches within 20 CroKs, 20 caches and a second possible FTF within 50 CroKs.

For reasons not fathomable to man, she changed her mind and decided on Grimwade, an extra couple of hundred road kilometres from home, with only two caches 30 CroKs and 43 CroKs away for me to seek. I was fortunate to also be able to log GA0790 Native Fauna Naming Fun by SUBYDAZZ, by pure chance an opportunity for that was within 30 metres of the caravan.

Thanks to Snuva for the non-hunt.
Happy caching,
Keith (the Wandering part of WanderingAus)

I have been planning this cache for a very long time, but never got around to logging it... its sad realy when all i have to do is make up an excuse... well no its not! I thought i should wait untill an opotune moment to log it with a real excuse!

I hereby log this DNF because of all the tempting caches i had to drive past (most of which were within 100m) on my recient re-location from Melbourne to Katherine NT. I did the first stage with a muggle and while collecting a few in the beginning, he made it very clear that there were going to be no more caches! Weep Weep... i DNF oh so many caches between Melbourne and Adelaide!

What a cool idea - a non cache. This is one I can certainly log. I had huge plans to find stacks of caches these summer holidays but broke my leg one week before they started. Instead I've spent lots of time sitting around watching others do all the work. Here's a photo of the kids working hard about to put up the Christmas Tree. Supervised by me of course.

Caching just doesn't happen when one of the team won't even stay awake.
See picture attached !

26-Sep-07
Last weekend my good old GPS device fell down another time.
This time it hit the hard Australian street ground and started to do nothing anymore...
Shuting it off meant shuting it off forever.
Glad that there is even a cache for the time without a GPS. With the coords from above no wonder that I couldn't find it.

Wanted to go caching, but the kids wanted to get a dog. So we ended up with 2 rabbits, hopefully both males.

Then took one daughter out for a hit of tennis.

Then other daughter had to go to calisthenics practice.

No time for caching for me.

eeny meeny miny...shall I "cache surf" or do the family history can't decide too much obsession either way, husband hoped geocaching would get me off the computer and into the fresh air haha!!

So did I find this cache or did I not is my relative Arthur or actually Martha?

18-Jul-07
Weather up here has been abysmal this past two days. Was itching to get back out as well...found some caches I could do nearby but alas..no good even for taking photos...so spent my time trawling the GCA site..and lo and behold...found or did I find?? this cache.Result is I've now found lots more caches I can do without having to travel 186km(direct line) to my closest unfound/not visited cache.Top idea.Cheers Snuva.

Sitting in an empty building "watching" a dry run for an upcoming implementation. Oh well, get to listen to my MP3 and get paid to do it.

Since January I've been busy with work and car shows. In that time I've found only 2 caches so I guess this qualifies. Great idea!TNLNSN

18-Jun-07
At least I found this cache today by not finding any others. I was at work, when I got home I was exhausted, had no money left to put fuel in the car (nearest unfound cache is around an hour away) and to top it all off it was raining. So just happy to claim this cache. Thanks for the easy hunt. Smile

06-Jun-07
Can't believe that the weather here in Brisbane is terrible and I can't get outside to go caching. It has been RAINING for 24 hours and it hasn't done that in years. Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!! But it will make many caches so much harder to find in future. Geopaths have been forming everywhere in the bush and you don't need a GPSr; just follow the path created during this drought.

24-May-07
I stepped out to do this cache today, which means I am not caching, and dare I say it, I didn't find it... So that means I did locate it, as the purpose of the cache was not to find it, which I acheved, so therefore I achieved the goal, or I didn't achieve the goal, so that earns a 'smilie'? hehehehe

Was I coming or going, was I heading out to cache, or heading in with a DNF?... mmmm....

16-May-07
Was all set to go for this one today, picnic packed, swag bag filled with goodies, new food in lil' Narcoleptic.

I'm standing out front of my place when it dawns on me.

Well i guess this is as legitemate reason for going some place and not geocaching as i will get for some time...
The Royal Easer Show... With a 3 Year old
What a day, excelent time had by all, and so many geocaches nearby! and no GPS or permission to leave the fairgronds to hunt them. Sad

SO this is a perfect opportunity to log a DNF on this one... Images soon.

10-Feb-07
Spent the morning picking grapes at the family vineyard instead of caching. Whilst driving the large containers of grapes to First Creek vineyard for processing & bottling I was nearby to Aber Beer and Air, but had no time to cache as was towing the car trailer with the grapes on the back.

10-Feb-07
It’s about time I didn’t do this one. My family are proud of me (I think), but not because of this DNF as I am at work – and that’s nothing to brag about on Saturday …. and I will be in again tomorrow when my next shift starts - but good news; completion will mark the end of the project and I can move on from here and do more caching!

31-Jan-07
I thought that if you didn't find a cache on a certain day then you could log that as a find here? Otherwise you'd be DNFing and DNF?

27-Jan-07
Our last visit to the Adelaide region for possibly a very long time. Had good intentions of grabbing a few caches that were near my old home. But by the time we had finished packing and cleaning the place up, simply had no time left to do even a drive-by. Unfortunately we are also leaving behind many solved puzzle caches that we never seemed to have time to actually go find. Such is life. Thanks Snuva for giving us the space to air or grievances.

07-Jan-07
On our trip to the coast we ran out of time to our destination our accomidation would be lost if we didnt turn up before a specified time. We drove past 3 caches knowing that we wouldnt be back this way on the trip back home

24-Nov-06
I usually like to try and do 3-4 caches during the working week. Most the time I get enough time during work to plan trips etc. This week was the week from hell working long hours with more staff away than at work 4 days without a find. I'm almost climbing the walls. At least it's the weekend tomorrow.

02-Nov-06
It was rainy today (YAY!!!!!) So to celebrate the rain I decided to log a dnf. No caches found today but lots of happy farmers and gardeners.
ohhh i can hear it on the roof. very heavy!!!

Go Socceroos! Yes there is something in the feralz house that takes precedent over caching. Mumma feral spent much of day in bed recuperating from a Mrtack cache!

Wellllllllllllll
Had not actually seen this page, but the waypoint showed up on the GPS as we were driving thru Glenorchy so we thought we might try and find it. Thought it may be along the bike track but it wasnt and we soon found ourselves driving up behind empty warehouses and did see some cool stuff but we were sure we werent supposed to be there... Coordinates sent us down a small laneway between two buildings, but we couldnt find anything, and now we know why!!

Was a cool place to go and explore anyhow, if you like urban exploration Very Happy

Bugger again this time I drove Hobart To Launceston and back for a wedding, Loaded a set of launceston caches that were near the church all pretty simple looking by description, and managed to get not a single one, zip zilch nada

I hate to admit it but after travelling all the way to the whitsunday islands which have only like 3 caches, I managed to find the time to do none of them walked right past one with out realising it was there, that will teach me to leave the GPS on the boat, flip side had a great hoilday apart from cyclone larry a bit further north

Shamefully Mrs CP has to admit that on the weekend she went all the way from Hobart to Strahan and back again, and didn't log one single cache. She blames having to ferry her parents around (even though her father really wanted to go geocaching....).

But on the flip side it means that there is another caching holiday on the cards for Mr CP, Mrs CP and Piglet. West Coast, here we come!!!

25-Jan-06
We had to go to Palm Beach (from Gosford) today for a family members birthday and we went past 18 caches that we could have tried for, if only time permitted.
They include: On the Riviera, Hospital Walk, Water Torture, On a clear day, I can see it all from here, Surfs up, Barrenjoey, Stewarts Lights, Looking West, Tumbledown Dick, Hill over the back fence, Ruff and Tuff, Ryland Riddle, ZFX#3: On the Edge, Truck Stop, Old Man Banksia, Creek Below and One Mans Trash.

What a wasted Day!! (for caches)

I had to babysit the grand-daughter all day (and work too). No time for any of that fun stuff like caching. So here I sit broken hearted, tried to cache & only ..... well you know the rest...

I cannot believe that I am logging this cache. It is an embarassing tale that I have to tell.

I was in Melbourne for the day - staying at a friends house overnight (elderly - can't just duck out in the evening) and had between 9.30am and about 6pm out and about in metro melbourne to do what ever we wanted.

The kids wanted to go to the museum, I wanted to go caching. Struck a deal - i'll take you to the museum, I get to do caches too. We all agreed and off we set.

We did the art gallery (their idea), the city loop train, the museum and went to see Narnia. We lost stuff left right and centre, but got it all back incredibly, except for one bottle of drink which was incidentally the cheapest thing we lost all day.

On meeting with my friend for dinner I realised that I had been out all day with the kids, with GPS & PDA in hand and had not actually sought a cache all day! And I don't get to Melbourne all that often...

Just plain embarassed.

It is with great sadness that I'm logging another DNF for this cache. My cacheMobile was stolen, then recovered. However it was ill after its experiences. So all my great caching trips to the NW to visit Ellie came to nothing! Instead, I made my slaves do some gardening!!!

Before

After

87087672_7c2b81f1e7_m.jpg

Believe it or not, this took days and days! Should look even better once the things that were severely pruned back recover a little - as long as the slaves keep the weeds at bay (don't hold your breath. . .).

Cheesy Pigs extend their sincere sympathies to ThatGuy. But at least you get to see your kids and watch Scrubs!!!! (We love that show Smile)

We are logging another DNF as Mrs CP and Piglet decided to get sick with a gastric bug, and while they were feeling sorry for themselves, Mr CP said (in his best Croc. Dundee voice) "That's not sick - THIS is sick...." and proceeded to get a nasty case of lymphadenitis which trumped their case of the gastric flu, and will leave him house-bound for some days to come, and on some VERY strong antibiotics.

It is a peculiar kind of torture being this sick and watching all these new caches come up and not being able to do anything about them. And seeing geocoins and jeeps waiting to be picked up, and instead tourists get them! Arghhhh!!

It's Summer time, the birds are singing, the bees are buzzing and the kids are playing outside with their new Christmas toys. With Summer comes the holidays, everyone is out on the road visiting relatives in far off corners of the state, it's the perfect time for exercising the caching gene.

But, alas, I cannot.....

You see, my eTrex Venture has been over worked, the poor little thing, it decided to have a bit of a breakdown. So, you see, my GPS has gone to a very special place for a holiday, yep, gone to the northern island to visit it's relatives at the Garmin authorised service centre.

So, it'll be a couple more weeks before I can get back out on the trails again enjoying the hunt, I guess I'll just have to keep myself busy playing with the kids, doing housework, playing solitaire and watching scrubs. *sigh*

At least I get to log this non-cache Smile

Cheers,
ThatGuy

The male of the CPs is totally ashamed to admit that on this wonderful morning instead of caching, I met with a muggle and played a round of golf. The only thing I looked for was a white sphericl object that I could not even sign. I am totally ashamed. But I did have fun.

Sunday - normally a good day for caching. But recovery from a minor surgical procedure the previous Friday was slowing me up, plus a call from the girlfriend meant that I was required for babysitting duty while she had to work. So instead of hiking up mountains looking for lunchboxes the day was spent doing some emergency grocery shopping, changing the tyres on her car when I realised the front ones were bald, and playing backyard cricket with the kids before cooking them dinner and then trying to get them to bed.

Coords are near her place but rounded off!

Cachemonkeys diary. Personal entry:

It's the 17th of November. I haven't had a cache in 18 days. There was an online event, but it's just not the same, it's not real man, it's not real... 18 days man.... 18!

They said I'd be fine, just spend the weekend visiting and gardening, it'll take your mind off it. But they don't know what it's like, they don't know...

I can't sleep, I can't eat, I can't walk down the street because Chickenfeed calls to me. The big yellow bird... man he calls to me from across the street, he says "we've got new toys, they're great for swaps", and he says "we've got Sistemas at half the supermarket price"... I know it's not true, but I still want to go in...
We've had to take all the tupperware out of the kitchen. On Monday (I was suffering bad then, the weekend in the garden just didn't work, and I knew I had to see it out at least another 5 days), I emptied the sugar container and two plastic fruit containers, put all the keys in the house in them and hid them in the backyard (I didn't know what I was doing... I still can't find the shed key, I think I might have made a magneto micro too)...

It's getting worse. I can't stop shaking. I have to delete eevveerryy sseeccoonndd key I type. Some people say I'm temperamental too. I think that's because of what happened with the kid down the street. It's not his fault, he was only playing with a bouncy ball. It rolled in front of me, and before I knew it I was chasing him down the street yelling "I'll swap you for an army man".

They said logging this cache might help me. I dont know though man. Couldn't someone set me up with a hit? It doesn't have to be spectacular, but if I don't see a plastic container with paint flaking off it soon I don't know what I'll do! I can't handle it anymore man... I don't wanna wake up in a cold sweat screaming "TNLN TNLN TNLN" again... it's wierd... and it freaks out the people I work with...

Writing this log hasn't helped. They said it would.... but they lied... man.... it's only 1 day until the weekend, then I can score a cache... a pretty green one, with a roller-stamper...

... in the meantime I'm off to make a cup of tea and see if I can wait it out. I just have to find all the teabags first. Someone put them all in film canisters and hid them...

Bye.

(The Captain wishes to apologise for The Cachemonkey, The Boss is restraining him now. He hopes he recovers. He also says thanks to Snuva for this great new cache idea. Keep 'em coming...)

Well, I've had no time for finding any caches lately, as I've been preparing the Brekel Abode for the market. Spent the whole weekend getting the yard and outside of the house ready to sell: mowing, trimming, taming the 7m high hedge, pruning, planting and painting. Between preparing the house, and having a reduced lunchbreak now, it's been a few weeks since I've found a cache Sad

Love it!

Had the perfect experience for this cache tonight! Took a sistema full of goodies up to constable creek to hide at Leda falls...one of St Helens' totally unknown and beautiful waterfalls. The creekbed that I was told would be semi-dry and we could walk up by a friendly local was flooded! So myself, Digger, Junior Tagalong and Mrs Aloysius had to wade in waste deep water for about 2kms. When the clock struck 1830hrs and the falls were still not in sight we decided it was prolly best to turn back before we were stuck waste deep in a river in the dark! So sistema, digicam, dog, wife and junior in tow I waded back to car and into town for fish and chips. Time got in the way of this one but IT WILL HAPPEN!!!

Also on a funy note when i went up to Constable Creek yesterday to scope out whether the walk was possible or not i got Cecil the cachemobile bogged and had to walk an hour and a half back into town to get a tow out....so this cache really has it in for me!

Thought I would try some gardening, but while I was thinking about it I fell asleep. Someone who had better be nameless decided to take a picture, so here I am logging a DNF for the day.

Woo hoo, excellent idea my dear doggy friend!

Where do I start...hmmm...well I can only log a DNF for myself, so Mr CP and Piglet can do their own logs.

I have not been caching as I have a broken left hind trotter. My garden is an absolute travesty, and will have me working for the next year to catch up. Luckily, I am not that motivated, so I will be caching again as soon as the trotter heals. In the meantime, I will be making phone calls to friends and family that thought I had run away with the circus, vacuuming, catching up on clothes washing and spending time with my poor unloved cat - he has taken to ambushing me in the bathroom for some 'quality' time. Eewwww.

Snuva's slaves haven't been able to do much caching lately because they have been working hard around the house. They have done serious weeding and pruning, completely re-done garden beds, started on a new path, repaired mouse-holes in lath & plaster walls, and re-painted. They have been completely exhausted by all this activity (the lackers).
