Logs

13-Aug-07
Found with other Aesir Rover Scouts Stuey and Kit sometime between 7:30-8pm during one of our night hikes.

Came up out of Chambers Gully - straight up - the hardcore way Wink

Can we put this on geocaching.com for wider exposure?

Cache rusted and wet inside - thankfully the notepad is protected in its zip-lock bag and remains dry and safe, but a new container is definitely warranted.

Been meaning to do this cache for a long time. Walked the track that has been walked a thousand times before and found cache with little difficulty. A beaut sunny day and although we need more winter rain a lovely walk in the sunshine was had by all. Took clip and left funky car. Now off to The Gravitron.....

Second time we've walked up this track (the one that switchbacks along the side of the ridge) in the dark to get a cache. We didn't have to climb as high this time though. At least we didn't do the gravitron in the dark!
Beautiful views of the city lights, and in the dark, you can't see how steep the drop-off is from the narrow track!

Found on the way back down the hill (for the last time). This was the best I could find for the F2F competition without going to Tumby Bay..

Who and why this one was put here no one knows but today I found it and am glad I did. Didn't go all the way to the top but at least I know where this trail leads.

I've been a bit bewildered as to why there has been a lack of finds on this cache. Maybe, like us, people are just waiting to get around to it. A nice little track to this cache, glad we didn't try it from below. Took the 35mm film canister, left a silver shackle. Not sure who to thank, so thanks to both SM2B and four-fun.

Found this one while doing two other caches in the area. Enjoyed the views. TNLNSL.

Found this one on the GCA site, and near where I was heading today. In fact it is quite near 'The Gravitron' if you take the right route! Smile
Does this make me the 2nd FTF? Smile
Great views from here on a great day.
Quite treasure of goodies still in the cache to find too.
Thanks four-fun for getting this up and running...

OK, having heard nothing a cache is now in place at the listed co-ordinates. It is a camo'd tin about 2L in size. Camo blends in very well so dont get Down if its not spotted straight away!
Happy caching all.

Was a bit suspscious of a cache set by some-one who has never found one, but it was close to home so thought I'd have a go (maybe just a new team of old hands?). I now suspect I've been the beta tester for an extremely new cacher.
Located GZ easily enough and found a lovely 'intel' spray jacket still in its wrapping hidden in an appropriately inconspicuous spot but that was all! No cache container, no log book etc.
If I missed something please let me know via email asap 2M2B. Otherwise I am happy to place a cache at the listed coordinates sometime in the next couple of days (my swap for the jacket!)
It would be a pity to lose a GCA listing so easily as there are so few of them and this is a good location.
