Description
Some caches are designed to be found often, ... by many, ... others are different.
This cache is on the far side of Faraway Hill Outstation. You could say it is off the beaten track. Perhaps if you travelled between Yunta and Morgan or took a back road from Burra to Broken Hill it might be almost a drive-by ... but what a drive! This is the land that gave rise to our national psyche. Now when you get here the cache is not too hard to find, however, unless you are verticallly gifted you may need to stand on something to see/retrieve it. Enjoy this remote location and when you find the cache take pride in having gone somewhere 'out of the ordinary - outback'.

After a drive down from Yunta we finally got here. The roads had no traffic at all except for this last stretch when we came across the only other car during the drive. Tried to go direct to the cache in the 4WD but the ground was very soft after recent rains last week in the area. It's amazing what efforts they went to store water in the past only to end up ruined years later. I always wonder at the energy that went in to building and as history shows, it was not that long ago.
The cache is intact in it's obvious location but the container is becoming brittle. The next Geocacher could bring a new container or make some repairs with tape to the current one so that it lasts a bit longer.
Thanks Alex for bringing us here. Sorry that we did not camp the night but the flies were solid around here at the moment. I think that they are enjoying the water in the creek.

A long time since someone claimed gold, now I get to claim silver after camping about 100m away on the way over to visit my parents in Coffs Harbour. Nice spot though no water at the moment. Was a very pleasant camping place as well. TNLNSL, thanks Alex.

When this cache first appeared I thought 'that would be a great spot to visit one weekend' and it was an excellent spot.
Convinced No.1 son that we should go for a little drive in his 4WD and he had a ball as well.
Camped nearby the cache for the night and enjoyed the most spectacular night skies I have seen for years. All in all a great way and place to recharge the spirit.
Thanks for taking me out there Alex, definately one of the most satisfying caches I have done to date. Cheers.
