Description

CCC38 - Last Tree Standing

The last tree standing is the location for this geocache. If you were ever going to be worried about sticking your arm in, up to your shoulder without knowing what is below, then this is the geocache to panic about. You will be down very, very low, lying down I suspect with your arm buried up to your shoulder in the desperate search for a geocache. This is not a geocache for the panicky but there is generally nothing down below. I’ve only ever seen a couple of snakes down there so you should be OK depending on the time of year. Feel for a 1 litre brown sistema container. As you’re lying on the ground, this geocache is not wheelchair friendly and unless your kids have gorilla arms they’re also useless but keep an eye on them anyway as there are roads and steps and a big river around the area.

Logs

This geocache appears to be MIA so to stop it clogging the search lists we'll archive it. If the owner can confirm it is in place the listing can be resurrected by placing an "unarchived" log against it.

This cache has been now disabled for longer than 90 days.

Unfortunately, the cache will be archived in 28 days if the listing is not re-enabled. This is done to keep the Geocaching Australia database clean and up to date.

We hope the cache can be re-enabled so that cachers can head in to find the cacheā€¦.and enjoy a visit to the area.

Erk! It looks like this one is probably gone for good. I checked out the location today and rather than just find a barrier I found that the construction buildings have been built on top of the cache location. The cache, trees and boardwalk are still there, just 100% inaccessible. Let's see what happens in the next few months and see if becomes available again. Hate to lose a 1 litre just like that Sad

Needs to be temp disabled due to construction stopping access.

No joy on this one due to access issues.

Well for the first time today there was no 'no pedestrian access' sign... so with a quick leg up... we had the cache in hand, the FTF and the Chase the Cache coin... out third for the day.

As with Sunday, the huge locked down fences made this impossible to get... for now

We knew what we were looking for this time but the area was fenced off. I'll have to come back for this one.
Thanks caughtatwork.
