Description

Easy to get to

The cache is on the edge of a reserve just out of West Wodonga. Sealed road all the way except for the last 500 metres which is a well maintained gravel road through the hills.

The reserve is home to an endangered native smooth pea (you have to find the cache to learn its name). Once you do that take a walk up the hill, along a walking track, that is along side a fabulous creek, running through a granite rock gorge.

The walk has some steep bits and a little slippery in places but easily done by anyone. Return journey is 800 metres. There are two stops along the way where seats are provided to take in the beautiful view of the gully.

After we found it, headed up the walking track on the right. It was very overgrown with a lot of spider webs across the path. Walked down Vearings Track on the way back, it was an easier path and there were no spider webs so it was a lot better for the kids.

Out and about caching in the Albury area and targeted this cache this morning to get another DZ cache on our board. Managed to find our way to this reasonably isolated spot and made a quick find of a good sized cache. TFTC

A typical autumn afternoon and an afternoon of caching. Quick find and then a walk up the hill. Cache OK

Heading to Melbourne and had the time this trip to detour off for this one. Looks a neat little, apart from the idiots who had dropped a trailer load of rubbish in the round-a-bout at GZ. After getting around that the cache was found after looking in a few places then checking the hint. Neat hide and the cache is still in good condition. Log was signed, cache replaced and it was back on the road.

Thanks Fargo1953....nicely done.

#GA1766 - 19:20; I was in Wodonga to ride the High Country Rail Trail with CBRCHIC, Strange Trousers and Geosnag1. We had completed about half the trail by night fall and after a nice hot shower, I headed out to collect this cache on my way (well, maybe not on my way) to meet the others for a cold beer and a hot feed. Once at GZ, the helpful hint made my search a bit quicker, although I was having some doubts before the cache finally recealed itself. TFTC Fargo 1953 Very HappyClan Cerberus

Well it was 'Far to Go' out of our way to get this cache but we tend to be prepared to do that for GCA caches!!
We were actually beginning to think that we had written this one down incorrectly as we didn't realise it was going to be so far out of town. Plus the mention of a roundabout in the clue led us to the false assumption that it would be in town.
Anyway we got there in the end and a nice hide was quickly uncovered.
Thanks.

We were out and about with Coruze grabbing some puzzle caches for a souvenir, and we decided to swing by and grab this one before it got dark on the way home.
I noticed this one when it was first published but didn't tear out because I thought I had plenty of time as not many people go for GCA caches around here, only to be beaten but that rascal Lostmonster!
Anyway, we lobbed up to here in the big flash Prado and quickly zeroed in on the nicely hidden cache and signed our lives away.

Thanks Fargo 1953 for the cache
(my old boss restored an old Fargo a while back, it came up very nice)
